  You can put in a SAS 6 gb card in the 2950 & get the PV 124 t LTO5 to run because this is a valid configuration.  What you need to do is to make sure you have a 8 X PCIe available free map of SAS6gb must go to the 8 x PCIe.  Now according to risers that are in your 2950, they come in 2 different options, see below:

  Three connectors for expansion on two different mounting options:

  Two 64 bit/133 MHz PCI - X and 1 x 8 PCI Express full height, half length

  or

  2 x 8 PCI Express and a x 4 PCI Express

The system came with the issue of "save the memory card to the other... "and I pressed OK... He says it's back up. There are 543 photos on the memory card.

  I could save my SanDisk memory card on a flash drive.  It didn't all go to my computer. I put the chip memory in the first, allowed the printer to read images and then put my USB into the slot next to it. When the menu screen (SEE & PRINT is in the Center, SAVE is to the right) is come, I pressed the right arrow to select SAVE and the system asked me if I wanted to save my memory card on an external source.   I have an old server PowerEdge 2950 II (card: 2x3.0 Ghz Xeon, 24 MB Mem 1 TB SATA HDD, 1 Tb SATA HDD, 2 TB SATA HDD - Server data center in 2012).

  The question I have is that I recently updated the operating system from 2008 to 2012 DC, then installed an extra drive (2 TB).  I run RAID 0, and the system is only show a MAXIMUM of space disk HARD 1.98 TB, with the other Tb 0.02 table allocated to file systems.  RAID Perc 5i controller has all the three marked as online HARD drives.  BUT I can not use the additional 2 tablespoons in the table.  I was going to buy and install a 2nd HARD drive of 2 to SATA and RAID 1 go; but, if I can't fix this storage space not represented in the storage Bay I can't justify the purchase.  If anyone can help I would be grateful.

  So, you have three disks - 1 TB, 1 TB, 2 TB - during a RAID 0, and you expect to see 4 TB of space?  If so, see my notes above.  Each virtual disk (RAID array) is presented to the operating system as a separate 'disc'.  Windows cannot use a more 2 TB drive unless it has been converted to GPT.  First of all, the conversion to TPG is data destructive, so you will need to do a backup/restore.  Secondly, convert your boot 'disc' TPG will not cause it to start on a 2950 because it only supports UEFI, which is necessary to start from a GPT disk.

  Bottom line?  You need to rethink your configuration on this machine.  You could make two 1 TB disks in a 1 TB RAID 1 for the OS (in MBR and bootable on a 2950), and then you could add 2 TB RAID 1 for data disks.  2 TB, it would be unnecessary to convert to GPT, but if you have added more than 2 TB of space, you would then convert that TPG and use as many TB for the data that you can hold in the system.

  In addition, you realize how dangerous running a RAID 0 is, right?

  The range of the file IO has a function to perform an MD5 on a file.  If you want to detect the validity of a set of files, what happens if you had a list of files and md5s and then conducted an audit to see if all the files have the MD5 expected.  Of course, you will need to take a line of well known file-based and MD5s.

  Just guess... could this be a hardware problem?

  If you have more than one port... try USB to another.

  Maybe you can connect the camera to your laptop via
  USB cable and see if you can download your photos.

  Hi, when I insert a flash memory card (SanDisk 8 GB SDHC or SanDisk 2 GB Compact Flash) either by inserting the card into a card reader, AutoPlay comes on but the image transfer stops after a few images have been copied to any program (Windows, Picasa, etc.).   To narrow the problem, please follow the steps mentioned below:

  O copy the pictures manually on the flash memory card Office.

  O connect the flash memory card\ camera to the back of the computer (for a different USB (port universal serial bus) and try to copy the pictures\files.)

  O check if the photos are in double version:

  Windows detects your newest pictures and doesn't matter the duplicate versions of the old photos that you've already copied to your computer

  Have you checked the VMware HCL already, if the SAS controller is included/supported for ESXi version, you are running?

  There are a few articles which have tape readers running with Adaptec SCSI controllers, I don't see anything for ESXi 3.5 with a SAS controller still...

  Maybe there's a better chance to make this work with ESX 4.x with VMDirectPath
