  Hi, when I insert a flash memory card (SanDisk 8 GB SDHC or SanDisk 2 GB Compact Flash) either by inserting the card into a card reader, AutoPlay comes on but the image transfer stops after a few images have been copied to any program (Windows, Picasa, etc.). I chose to copy the files. Same experience when I connect the camera with the memory card in the camera using the USB cable to the PC. I have no problem using these flash memory cards and a USB drive on my old XP PC or an Apple Mac Book. For what I can tell, my Vista desktop is set for automatic windows and updates from HP. Everything about the plan of updating drivers, etc., which would solve this problem would be appreciated.

  Hi, I need to check and verify the data that is stored in a Flash memory card, sience I got a good card Flash contant, I hv to write a VI to check suspected bad Flash card data against Flash memory good data card, I use the output folder list folder list function is compared with the data of constant string that contains the name of folder and files (since I know the content good map).

  Is there any other method to compare the data/files/folders, such as the CRC check for data... all all tracks, ideas? Please help me.

  The range of the file IO has a function to perform an MD5 on a file.  If you want to detect the validity of a set of files, what happens if you had a list of files and md5s and then conducted an audit to see if all the files have the MD5 expected.  Of course, you will need to take a line of well known file-based and MD5s.

  Assignment of drive letters is pretty easy - use tool (diskmgmt.msc) disk management to assign letters.  Insert the disk or device, run the disk management tool, find the drive or device, right click and select 'Change Drive Letter and paths', click the 'Edit' button and assign the drive letter you want.  Not the drive letter assignment is made by inserting the device and using the button 'delete '.  I don't know of a way to remove a drive letter assignment, if the device is missing or damaged /-maybe someone else can chime with this knowledge.

  a solution may be turning off the flash card service if Don t you need your USB.

  You can disable it by following these steps:

  -Go to start-> settings-> Control Panel-> administration-> Services tools

  -Make a right click on 'Smart Card' and left click on "Properties".

  -In the window who pop´s you must stop the service and disable it with the "Disabled" choice to the option "Startup Type".

  After that, your flash drive service is disabled and that you won´t get that annoying more errormessage.
