Flash FLV Playback component - problem with swf

Hope someone can point me in the right direction here - try just the FLV Playback component to replace a couple of short videos on a Web site with a version of flash.

I've got the SWF works OK - when I saw in HTML it everything works fine.

However, on the page I have downloaded on my site, it is not and looks like:

link here

Any ideas why not?

I checked, and html, flv and swf files are all downloaded, as is the AC_RunActiveContent.js file.

See you soon.

Spotted it - didn't know there was a separate .swf for controls.

  • Possibility of fade the FLV Playback component?

    Is it possible to fade a FLV Playback component? I tried to put it inside a clip, then using the Transition fade in actionscript, but no luck? Is there another way to make the video look like it disappears without using ._visible?

    Thank you

    Julia

    Mind - I got it - never forgot to import the classes from Transition... Sorry...

  • FLV Playback component

    Fast forward and rewind on the FLV Playback components buttons do not work as normal. If you have tried to use them, you will notice that they meet a click rather than an event mouse_down event.

    By taking a part of the skins, I found that the fast forward clip is forward_mc.

    How to create an event listener to the buttons inside the FLV Playback component?

    If the instance of my FLV Playback component is called 'film', how it access?

    I tried this, but it does not work:

    This.Movie.forward_mc.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, fastForwardDown);

    function fastForwardDown(e:Event):void {}
    FastForward film
    }

    Thank you

    OK... Thank you. Here's what seems to work.

    If (e.target.name == 'forward_mc') {}
    do what you must
    }

  • problems with SWFs in FLASH CS3

    Hi guys.

    I have problems with the construction of my Web page with Flash.

    I imported the swf files I want in my library, but when I try to put them in folders my computer seems to seize up and takes a few minutes to do the job, and can be very slow and I am unable to what anyone on PC while he does this.

    I do not have incounted this problem before on my PC but I have had it for over 5 years now and I'm on reason to buy a new PC in spring next year when Windows 7 is available on all new computers.

    I'm using windows XP with all updates available and updated upgraded to 1 GB of memory last year.

    Is my old PC to work with FLASH CS3 or is this another problem entirely?

    Any help would be welcome.

    Thank you

    earthflyer

    your ram is low.  so, that "probably the main problem.  You should have 2 GB, at least, and you will see a noticeable difference with another 1-2 GB (total = 3-4 gb).

    When you get your new computer, make sure you get at least 4 GB.

  • Not loaded FLV playback component skin

    I have a list of FLV files and want to see the ot an instance for each of them in a scrollpane.

    I put an instance of pane to scroll on the stage. Assign a content to a clip path in the library. In this clip, I placed as a result of lines of code

    //========================================================================
    courses of water = new Array ("d:/work/flv/audio1.flv", "..") / flv/audio2.flv ','... / flv/audio3.flv ','... / flv/audio4.flv ','... / flv/audio5.flv ','... / flv/audio6.flv ','... / flv/audio7.flv ','... ("/ flv/audio8.flv");
    thisObj = this;
    streamCount = streams.length;
    for (var i = 0; i < streamCount; i ++) {}
    thisObj.attachMovie ("FLVPlayback", "p" + i, i);
    eval("thisObj.p"+i)._height = 50;
    eval("thisObj.p"+i)._width = 420;
    eval("thisObj.p"+i)._x = 0;
    eval("thisObj.p"+i)._y = 50 * i;
    stream = eval("thisObj.p"+i).contentPath;
    }
    //===================================================================

    now I see all eight instance of the flvplayback component. But I can't see the loaded skin. It's so not to play, pause, volume and seekbar button. the "ClearOverPlaySeekMute.swf" is also in the same folder.

    Help, please.

    If eval("thisObj.p"+i) does not work... then you must add

    eval ("thisObj.p" + i). Skin = "ClearOverPlaySeekMute.swf";

    alongside others after your attachMovie

    I think that the component's x and y properties _x and FLF and method setSize (w, h) - which may give better results if you hit problems with sizing and positioning of the way you do now.

  • Problem with swf on 1 page of my Web site?

    the point is, this question was posted here every day for months - was top news across the web
    also. Yesterday this question has been asked and answered at least 3 different times. You almost
    don't even have to use search - just scan down the headings for more information on this
    topic. Keywords include upgrading IE, active content, border around a flash film, etc... We have been
    posting the same info over and over sos as many times that some of us just find it surprising when
    a person does not bother to do at least a certain amount of research. You would have found the answer
    in a few seconds to search this forum or google as sopposed to wait for someone to volunteer info.

    So, for the 1000th time, I'll give you this URL:

    http://ActiveContent.blogspot.com/

    and this one:

    Do not be offended - just search before asking to get your answers much faster.

  • Adobe Flash Player 12 creates problem with access setting Kaltura

    After installing Flash Player 12, I have the following screen: problem with Kaltura ' cannot access the settings of.
    (Have screen shot, but it can not paste here...)

    ***************
    Looks like:
    Captions Settings
    FONT      SIZE
    Stroke  ON
    Background OFF
    SAVE CANCEL

    ******************

    The video plays, but with this window in the middle of the image. Just happened after the update.

    Jean-Jacques,

    You can download an image by clicking on the button Browse located below the reply box...

    It would help a lot for help you.

    From what I understand of the posted link iamjayakumars, Flash 12 beta will install updates in the background, but I think there could be a feature that users can configure to install Flash when they want to and not automatically push it to users.

  • Problem with swf in IE

    Hello

    I have a problem with my movie swf in IE. When I consult my websit in IE there is a line gray round the moive swf and if I move the mouse over the video swf my mouse turn into a hand pointing button. If I click on the swf video gray line disappear. I don't have this problem using FireFox. Any help would be appreicated. Thank you!

    This is due to changes in Microsoft IE to avoid breaching the
    (stupid) EOLAS patent. It applies to all control activex that can interact
    with the user.

    If you visit a web site, you can really do something for this problem,
    except complain to the webmaster

    Here is a link to find information on how to fix your Web site to deal with
    activeX active content changes:

    If that does not redirect, simply go to http://activecontent.blogspot.com

  • Flash CS3 V3 component problem

    I use the component 'button' and then I manually with the skin it Flash CS3 when I change the color of the 'up' movieclip and doing a "CFC" the new component I created works correctly, but when I do a second component "button" (CFC) and use it on the scene to with one another 'up' color of movieclip. He always uses the "old" color on both. It's like the 'library' is shared for both. Has anyone have the same problem?

    The answer is 'skins' just search under "Creating skins for some instances" in the Flash CS3 help file.

  • Problem with SWF merged

    I have a problem. I merged just two SWF insert the second on first with the following code in AS3:

    var request: URLRequest = new URLRequest ("destino.swf");

    var loader: Loader = new Loader()

    Loader.Load (request);

    addChild (loader);

    It is a slide file, something like powerpoint where you can navigate through the slides with the arrows. I merged two SWF because it is a presentation with images and videos, the problem is that if I navigate back, slide in the second SWF mingle with the first:

    I'll show you a video with the problem. Once the video when the first SWF load the other.

    I hope you can help me.

    When you want to go back, run:

    Loader.Unload ();

    (and, if there is a stream in destino.swf, use loader.unloadAndStop ())

  • Flash FLV Playback continues when I change of scene

    Hi all

    I really need your help!

    I create a flash program where certain scenes have FLV players playing different videos.

    They all work very well, stopping and playing etc.

    However when I leave the stage by clicking on my "home" button, the video stops, but the outline of the player remains standing in the new scene!

    my code is reading;

    Stop();
    button_24.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToScene_98);

    function fl_ClickToGoToScene_98(event:MouseEvent):void
    {
    MovieClip (this.root) .gotoAndPlay (1, "catch-up");
    friends_vidPlayer.stop ();
    SoundMixer.stopAll ();
    }

    button_25.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToScene_49);

    function fl_ClickToGoToScene_49(event:MouseEvent):void
    {
    MovieClip (this.root) .gotoAndPlay (1, "home");
    friends_vidPlayer.stop ();

    }

    Is there a way to tell playback FLV to 'hide' or disappear?

    I tried most of the discussions and found nothing! Help, please!

    Thanks in advance xxx

  • Problem with swf and the sound

    Hi all!
    I created a flash animation that includes a sound effect (mp3). The animation works well and the sound plays as expected. But at the end of the animation, the sound is played again. I check my swf file, but sometimes a preview flash. If anyone has experienced this?

    Thank you!!!
    Brad

    Not sure, but you could try adding a script framework at the end of your animation with this code:

    this.stopAllSounds ();

    This line should stop all sounds playing on this timeline, without affecting the Captivate. I can't guarantee that, but it's worth a try. Now, if your animation focuses on AS3, then the above will not work. After return to it is and I'll write the code for you, or do a search (it is not a single line/method).
