  I have a drop down of the bar menu that was created using javascript. I have insterted a photo gallary swf file created in Flash. The problem is that the menu bar disappears behind the .swf file. How can I make the menu to show the photo gallary bar?

  All active content on a page will always come to the top, so to speak,

  This means that each one will push through the layers. It is not a good
  Cross-browser/platform reliable way to solve this problem, but if you can be
  confident in your visitors using IE 5 + or NN6 +, you can then use the Flash
  setting wmode (However, Safari does not support this correctly!).

• Newb flash cannot get a SWF to work in a DW MX 2004 html tag

  I try Flash CS3 with my trusty ol ' Dreamweaver MX2004 on Mac OS 10.4.9. I had another DW site active for four years; This is the first time I tried Flash.
  
  The swf file plays as expected (I posted it for the reference to www.somethinghappeninghere.com/happeningintro.swf), but I can't get to DW to recognize in my index.html (www.somethinghappeninghere.com). I tried to insert my .swf in accordance with the instructions in ch. 17 book H.O.T. CS3 Todd Perkins, in aid of Dreamweaver Insert > Flash menu command. I found another tutorial who spoke of 'skins' (huh?) in DW CS3, but I can't find used them to my MX2004.
  
  I also have the file "happeningintro.html" corresponding to when I published the swf - but I can't find anything that refers to the instructions, it.

  Urgh. Found my blunder. Duh - I forgot to download the swf file.

  Four years using DW and Transmit and still that. Sheesh, I hope that I can remember the difference between the red and green lights when I'm driving to work this morning.

• hidden behind the flash file menu

  This is probably the answer somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. This is my first time coming to this forum. I have a good knowledge of HTML, learn CSS and just started with DW CS3.
  
  I have a drop down at the top of my page. In the body of the page is a flash (.swf) file. The drop-down menu falls behind the flash file. I played a bit with z-index to try and stack the elements correctly, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I need the combo of being above everything else. Any ideas?

  ICH habe mir jetzt testweise einen Flash-banner is, der 2 Ebenen hat und einen durchgehenden button (also der wird auf beiden Ebenen displaying). Dieser auf eine Website linked button. Before as well, den Code dafur usw. habe ich auch hinbekommen.

  Wenn ich die ausprobiere der Live-Vorschau der Datei auch link works.

  Wenn ich die Datei nun aber als .swf-Datei speichere und im Browser aufrufe, passiert nichts bei dem Klick auf den button! Habe ich vergessen please gemacht oder irgendwas?

  Linking to web pages is questionable when you test the swf file.  For best results, you should test using a browser on a web server.

  You need to:

  After all imports and before the constructor function.

• How to apply external Javascript menu?

  I am trying to include a drop-down menu in each topic in a project using RoboHelp 8. This menu uses Javascript and jQuery library to implement drop-down lists, which requires two external .js files. In addition, there is a function call that activates the menu and the HTML file for the menu itself. I have trouble to get this working.

  So far, I put the js and function references in the section head of a master page:

  I put the HTML code in a excerpt of code and then that placed in the page master, as well. The menu appears, but does not have the JavaScript code to create drop-down lists. I also placed calls js and function in the code snippet with the same result. I also tried different path options, such as adding a bar slash leading to the path of the CBC (/ js/jqsimplemenu.js) and referring to the root of the project (... / jqsimplemenu.js).

  The only time I can get the menu to work is when I place the JS calls and function directly on each topic, which is not really ideal or effective in our team environment.

  Any thoughts? Thank you.

  Have you added the script in thesection or in the master page header? I suggest that you create a master page header and add the code here. RoboHelp can create paths relative to the file of the different headings when you build.

• I designed a website in Flash CS5 and the .swf file is not displayed on the web!

  OK, I'm very new to Dreamweaver CS5, I created a website in Flash CS5 (it is a model of "coming soon").  I got all transferred in Dreamweaver CS5.  However, when I saw in the browser it works fine, but when it is transferred to my server I see nothing other than the index with the .sfw in her file files.  When I click on it, my coming soon design show! I added an index.html file, but when I do this I get a blank screen.  I tried a file index.swf without success.  How can I get this for a glimpse on the web without displaying the index?   Simply save this file "dallasxplosiontvcs.html" under the name "index.html", so your "dallasxplosiontvcs.html" remains in your directory, load the file 'index.html' on your server. Watch Hat happens, I'm sure you will be fine.

• Flash Catalyst publish to SWF problem

  Hi all,

  I'm in trouble trying to optimize a site done with Flash Catalyst. I had all the images inserted in the file, but change to a picture is linked considerably reduces swf files. The SWF file published correctly without errors, but open in a web browser, the bar of the charger is blocked to 70% (approximately) and nothing happens. I checked all the images inserted in the files and they are fine. If I run the project (Ctrl + Enter) the preview of files very well.

  So you won't see active not deployed outside (related images, external video files) double clicking main.html or by running main.swf to your deploy on the web when record his local.

  Copy the contents of your file to deploy to the web on your web server and then navigate in main.html.

• Conflicts of the Spry with Flash Dropdown menu bar

  I'm using the menu bar horizontal Spry that works very well. However, the drop comes into conflict with a flash animation that I just below the menu bar. Unlike the Adobe home page, the drop-down part of the menu appears behind or gets breath-away from the flash movie. Someone can tell me how I can get the drop down menu to appear above the animation and remain displayed while the animation continues to play (like on the Adobe homepage main navigation bar)? I need to position the elements and index-z allows to stack them?
