  Well, for anyone who is having this problem I think I understood the problem. Adobe files are saved under extensions as that is just another type of .zip file. If you do not have winzip installed you can not install flash player. I now mining work. Good luck!

  You can detect if Flash Player is installed by using the following registry keys:

  Flash Player 32 bits on 32-bit Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia

  Flash Player 32-bit on Windows 64-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Macromedia

  Flash Player 64-bit on Windows 64-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia

  Note the following points:

  1. it is usually sufficient to detect the Flash Player 32-bit because the installer for 64 - bit is to install Flash 32 - bit and 64 - bit players.

  2. There are subkeys for the ActiveX (Internet Explorer) and players of Flash Plugin (based on Mozilla browsers) where indicated. You can detect a specific type of Flash Player using these buttons, if necessary.

  I'm trying to code a page where if the user does not have the Flash plugin, they get the alternative content and not the usual link 'click here to download Flash Player'. We will have two separate content home page locations, one for Flash and one for the HTML standard.
  
  So if I could capture in Javascript if they have installed the Player, I could present in a CFIF or a JS so these two different pieces of content. I looked for something on it, but failed to find anything. Any ideas?

Recently, I lost all my flash player content in IE11.  In the control panel it shows I have PS installed 16.0.0.305, but still I can't see content FP.   We are still finding the cause of this problem, until then please find the WORKAROUND:

  1. right click on the downloaded installation program, and then select "Properties".

  2. Select the tab "General".

  3. at the bottom, you will see a section called 'Security' with the following text:

  "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer."

  4. click on the "UNLOCK" button to the right of this text.

  5. click on 'OK '.

  6. run the installer!

• Windows 7 IE, helping get the 32-bit flash player

  Windows 7 said that he had a problem with my flash drive working and it uninstalled flash player.  So I tried to download the most recent flash player.  I get the message not supported 64-bit, you will need to run in a 32-bit browser and it won'w download.  To ensure that I have an IE 8 32-bit browser open and try to download again and I still get the same message.  Don't know what to do.  I defintely don't have the 64 bit browser open.
