I also had problems with my flash drive error messages: saying that it has stopped working constantly, it says upgrade text flash, a flash plug-in Shockwave does not then in (locking pin in) he wants that you hit.  I ran 3 different programs Mallware via my computer just in case it is a question that would arise. I used a 2nd computer and the original disk, I don't remember tho if I used windows file transfer or just copy, but I had the disc copied to the flash drive and reinstalled windows 7. I have still no working dvd rom (x 2) they open and close (sometimes), but the drivers need to be mounted to something incomplete. repair is absent as well. some other problems too but its been executed in this way for months (apx5). here and there, I get an email from answers, that's how I arived here really (enroute) hope this helps (a bit)

  From Windows 8, Microsoft integrates Flash Player in Internet Explorer and all updates are distributed by Microsoft, no Adobe.

  In addition to checking that Flash Player is enabled, please ensure that the ActiveX filtering is disabled, see difficulty ActiveX in Flash Player in Internet Explorer issues.

  Today is patch Tuesday, which means that Microsoft will come out all sorts of updates, including an update to Flash Player for IE.  I don't know when they're going to live, because the update has not yet posted to Microsoft Security Advisory 2755801.  You can check this page later today, or run Windows Update later today or tomorrow to install updates.

  No, it isn't an installer for all types of browser.

  Microsoft integrates Flash Player in Windows 8.x and distributes updates via Windows Update.  If you have Windows configured to download and automatically install the updates you need not do anything.  Otherwise, run Windows Update to install the latest version of Flash Player for Internet Explorer.

  Google has also incorporates Flash Player in Chrome and distributes the updates.  If you have configured to automatically update of Chrome you need not do anything.  Otherwise, look for an update of Chrome to ensure you have the latest version.

  Since you also use Firefox, the only installer you need to manually run the Flash Player for Firefox installer.
