Flash player opens as a separate Windows window

All Flash content opens up flash as a separate window/process outside Firefox, Firefox where it should have made remains empty space. Content Flash is rather made in the corner of topleft of the screen of the computer or in front of or behind the window of Firefox.

Each flash player will receive its own icon on windows task bar which can be closed, when the sound of the closing clip it will continue to play for about 5 seconds before stopping.

I tried full uninstall / reinstall the Flash player plugin.
I tried disabling all other plugins and addons and restart Firefox.
I tried to disable hardware acceleration in the Flash player plugin.

The Flash version is 14.0.0.179 (later).

There is no problem with the Flash in Internet Explorer plugin.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

You can check for problems with the current versions of the plugin Shockwave Flash and try this:

    • for all other browsers, you will need to download and install the Flash Player plugin.

It would be a good idea also run the System File Checker tool to check that everything is correct in the system files.

"How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the files on system missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  • How to set up multiple home pages to open in a separate window (not a tab) when you want...

I would like to install and be able to click on a profile of Firefox (I guess that the profile) or pass parameters to the firefox.exe and Open firefox about 6 separate windows (not tabs) on different home pages.

If I use the vertical bar in the Options, it will open separate tabs but also cause the problem below that I also want to solve.

Many times, I would also like to run another instance of firefox by clicking on the Firefox icon in my Quick Launch bar and DO NOT want all these sites open again.

    How is this best achieved?
In the past I just opened each site individually in its own window.

    Thank you very much
    Peter

You can create several shortcuts on the desktop and include the URL on the command line and use the - new-window switch to specify a new window.

You must use the - new-window switch for each URL (window - new - window-new-URL1 URL2).

If the command line gets to long then you must use a CMD file to store the command line complete (start "" firefox.exe - new-window etc.).
