Flash v11.9.900.117 - MSI installs a version of the "wrong"!

I downloaded the latest version of Flash Player Adobe Flash Player Distribution page 11.9.900.117. However, when you install the. Installer MSI, the resulting version listed in the installed Windows programs is v11.8.800.168 for browser Plugin and v11.8.200.175 for Internet Explorer. I doubt that Adobe are aware they have a problem on their download site with the offline. Flash Player MSI installation file.

MSI installers in the page of distribution are version 11.9.900.117.

What is the date of the digital signature of the installation files?  They should be September 27, even as the programs EXE installation.

If your MSI have a different date, most likely, you have downloaded an old copy cached somewhere on your company servers.

  • 25 Firefox on Windows 7: Flash 11.9.900.117 freezes Firefox

I've done the diagnosis proposed by Mozilla https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/Firefox-hangs-or-not-responding

Firefox works fine, but as soon as any content Flash is running Firefox crashes and I have to close the process in Windows Task Manager.

I can't go into the Flash settings and disable hardware acceleration for Flash crashes Firefox completely before.

Could you try disabling hardware acceleration via the file mms.cfg on your system?

It will be located in your C:\windows\syswow64\macromed\flash folder (assuming you are using a 64-bit version of Windows).  Simply open the file mms.cfg with a text editor and add the following line:

    DisableHardwareAcceleration = 1

Save the file and try again.

If this fails, I would go back to Flash Player 11.7 until this can be resolved.

Where can I find direct downloads of Flash Player 11.7 for Windows or Macintosh?

  • Flash Player 11.9.900.117 not recognized by Opera and Firefox on Windows Vista (32-bit) SP2

I use 4 browsers on my laptop Toshiba Windows Vista (32-bit) SP2:

    Internet Explorer 9

    Google Chrome Version 30.0.1599.101 m

    Opera Version 17.0.1241.45

    Mozilla Firefox Version 24.0

I just downloaded and installed Flash Player 11.9.900.117, which is recognized by IE9 and Chrome from Google, but not in Opera and Firefox, even after closing the browser and re-start.

How can I get Flash Player to work with Opera and Firefox?

    Thanks for your help.

    See you soon,.

    Joel

There are two different versions of Flash Player for Windows (3 If you count Chrome)

ActiveX which is ONLY for IE,

Flash Player for other browsers which is for Opera, Safari and Firefox, and

"PepperFlash" that is built into Chrome by Google.

Download the tool or another browser version will have NO EFFECT on Chrome.

Download of the ActiveX version WILL NOT install a plugin for Opera or Firefox because they do not use controls ActiveX - NO browser but IE uses not since about 2001.

Download Adobe Flash Player for Firefox and Opera setup directly by clicking on the following link.

Flash Player plug-in (all other browsers)

  • Addresses of different download Flash Player 18 for Windows (.msi, .exe) - what are the differences?

    Hello

Normal way to download flash player is to go to

    http://get.Adobe.com/PL/flashplayer/otherversions/

    and chose its own version.

For Windows 7/Vista/XP, there are three different files for the moment:

flashplayer18pp_hd_install.exe - Opera and chrome (PPAPI)

    flashplayer18ax_hd_install.exe - IE (ActiveX)

    flashplayer18_hd_install.exe - Firefox (NPAPI)

All have the same size (1 125 056), but are slightly different content.

    There is another location:

    http://fpdownload.Macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_playe r_18_plugin.msi

    Size much more: 19 588 096

It seems to work with Firefox and other browsers too.

My question: is the file type of 'global'.msi file - and design to work with all browsers?

That contains the .msi? (I guess that all the above plugins and something more?)
(Actually, the Interior is essentially a .exe file: InstallPlugin_18_0_0_194.exe, size 18 411 184)

I would like to learn more about this file, how is it different from plugins on get.adobe.com and where is the information on the net (except the google link).

    Thank you!

    Hi MattD.spoon.net,

    flashplayer18ax_hd_install.exe - IE (ActiveX)

    flashplayer18_hd_install.exe - Firefox (NPAPI)

These are installers of hold that to download and install Flash Player silently in the background.  The hotfix installation program does not download the MSI installer in your next comment.

    There is another location:

    http://fpdownload.Macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_playe r_18_plugin.msi

No, it will not work with all browsers.  The NPAPI plugin will work with NPAPI (for example Firefox) browsers, it will not work with IE (which uses the ActiveX control) or PPAPI browsers.

Installer MSI contain additional information that is used by software such as SCCM (System Center Configuration Management Microsoft) management tools.  MSI installers are mainly used by business customers to deploy Flash Player within their organization (the page where you found the link, Adobe Flash Player Distribution, contains information on the Flash Player for the distribution of license).

  • It is true that Firefox v11 will fully support Adobe Flash and when you go to make a version of Thunderbird mobile.

I'll buy a HTC Merge soon and I would like to know if Firefox v11 will fully support Adobe Flash and if I decide to use v10 now this method would work https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-mobile-doesn ' t-support-flash? e're = & as = NAQ if I wanted to watch flash videos on lets say on the Vimeo site also there are plans for a version of mobile of Thunderbird? I am an avid user of Thundrbird and would like to have on my Android phone.

Mobile Firefox should work on this phone given specifications. Although we have not tested specifically on this phone.

Firefox 11 will support Flash player Android. The Flash Android player is somewhat limited. Although going to the bottom of the Vimeo mobile page and clicking the page view desktop version allows me to play the video on their site. Deleted and panoramic frames is not surprising but I'm testing on a phone with similar specs that you look at HTC G2 (Desire Z).

The Thunderbird team is a separate group of the mobile Firefox. I don't know what their plans are (if any) for mobile.

You could try to copy the contents of the DVD to a folder on your hard drive. Then start the installation from there.

(I've seen a post or two during the upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit of Vista 32 bit). Could just be a funky DVDROM drive problem. Copy of the files should ignore the issue.

  • MSI installer: recorded class is no problem

    Hi all

I made an Installer MSI by using Visual Studio 2010, I used following properties for this installer to act as administrative rights. The main purpose of the definition of the following properties is to install the MSI installer without asking for credentials.

    ALLUSERS = 2
    MSIINSTALLPERUSER = 1

After you set these properties for the MSI installer, its functioning and installation very well on all other operating systems except Microsoft Windows7 professional.
On Windows 7 and 8, his work very well only problem in the case of Windows7 professional [I tested for 32 bit for now]

  • How to change the setting of compatibility of the MSI installer?

I am trying to install an MSI file for an application called "Encryption Plus" from the edge of the Guardian.

When I click with the right button on the MSI file and choose compatibility, I'm presented with the checkbox to select "run this program in compatibility mode for:"

But the drop down menu contains NO items. It is an empty list. When I click on it, it does not show Windows Vista, Windows XP SP3, etc., etc., as it should.

If I try to do it on any other exe installation, it well. This happens only with the .msi installation files.

Have you tried to install the file without changing the compatibility first?  If this isn't the case, you may be able to install and then change real compatibility on the exe file of the application (and Windows 7 can do for you automatically if it detects problems with the application).

Hope this helps and have a nice day :)
