Flashing slow print 6940

My 6940, about 5 years old, will print one or two quick pages, as he used to do, but now will print multiple pages a Windrow at once, 15 seconds or more long period and then another, so usually I get an error FAILED signal.  No difference if printing several pages of a copy, or a multiple-page document.

Computer OS is XP

Slow printing is caused by the failure of one of your cartridges.  In my view, the Deskjet 6940 will print automatically in reserve if mode of ink is removed.  Try the following: remove the black print cartridge and print a sample page of the printer.  It prints at a normal speed (almost)?  If the black cartridge was at fault and should be replaced.  If the printer is still slow replace black cartridge and remove the color cartridge and print the page.  If the printer prints normally now the color cartridge was at fault.

Don't you have the slow print even if you make a copy?  If Yes, then the likely cause is a faulty cartridge.  If your printer supports printing in reserve mode you can remove the black cartridge and try to print a page (not), if this is normal, then replace the black cartridge and remove the color cartridge.  The cartridge that prints at the normal speed is OK, the other is a problem and needs to be replaced.

  • Extremely slow printing wireless with HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m

I see extremely slow print speeds when printing from a Mac or a Windows XP system on a new printer HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m wireless. The printer starts printing immediately when I request a print, but it only prints one line. It will take about 15 minutes then to print the rest of the page, each print after a very long break line. Print demo page doesn't exhibit this problem, only documents of programs such as Word 2008, Safari, and Firefox (I tried firefox on PC and Mac) are affected.

If I connect to the printer via a USB connection it prints very well, so this problem seems to be the only wireless printing.

    Printer: HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m
Computer: Mac mini (late 2009 model) (also tried a Windows XP laptop, by comparison using the latest drivers from the HP website)
OS: Mac OS X 10.6.2 with all available updates installed
Method of connection: cable Ethernet connection to the router wireless
Printer drivers: version 2.2.1 (Apple provided, drivers HP never installed as system comes with 10.6)
Wireless router: Apple TimeCapsule (early 2009) 1 TB, honing a/d and modes of b/g on 2.4 and 5 GHz. TimeCapsule is in transition as the DSL modem handles DHCP service mode
Encryption: WPA2 Personal, no MAC filtering or hide the SSID.

IP addressing scheme: all addresses are distributed by the server DHCP without reservation of any kind

The TimeCapsule is sitting three inches from the printer and the printer indicates the complete signal. Connecting the printer to the wireless network and setup of the printer on the Mac went off without a hitch. Only when you print a test document discover us the problem. The wireless network will behave as expected when you access Internet from Mac and Windows devices (tested with a laptop computer Dell XP and a MacBook with OS X 10.6.2), so I don't see any problem with the wireless network together.

    Attempt to use:
1 reboot and power off, wait, restart the computer
2 reset the print subsystem, the printer off and on again and reinstall the printer

    3. disconnect the power to the printer and let it sit for several minutes before trying to print wireless.

    None of them worked.

I don't know exactly what is happening... I'll have to think about.

Looks like you're running with the current configuration.

    Can we call this resolved?

  • Slow printing Officejet J3608

Extremely slow printing recently became a problem with my all-in-one Officejet J3608 printer.

I have downloaded and run HP Print & Scan doctor. Everything checked out OK. Interestingly, the test page printed quickly and normally, but if I print a page of test or any file word.doc, its performance is very, very slowly.

I installed Windows 7 and I just downloaded and installed the full driver for this printer package. No change in this situation. I also noticed that if I want to print several copies of a document, 2 copies and the following print quickly in contrast to the first copy!

No error message. In the window of the printer, it just says: "... Printing" that it prints a single pass, then pauses, then another pass.

Conducted a system Windows check but found nothing unusual.

    Dear all:

My slow printing problem has been resolved. Malware object, PUP. Funmoods, has been the culprint. 50 times of this malware have been detected and eliminated by bytes Malware Anti-Malware software downloaded on Download.com.

After a full of some 300 000 files scane, MBAM has identified the cause of my slow printing.

This can be useful to other people whose efforts have failed to solve their problems. So, obviously, that there is nothing wrong with the HP Officejet J3608 printer drivers.

  • HP 8600 slow printing of diagrams and color photos

I have a desktop HP 8600 printer pro jet and it's very very slow at the color print and diagrams (colored or not). I aligned the printer and clean the print head but it is still slow and I mean slow 2 5 minutes from printing a page.

I also used the HP scanner/doctor and everything is fine with the printer is brand new.

    Help, please!

    Hello there bamitssam21,

    Welcome to the Forums

I saw your slow printing problem you are having with your Officejet Pro 8600. I noticed that you have ran a print head cleaning, alignment and print and Scan Dr. indicates no error. There could be several reasons why slow printing occurs, the power of the printer for the program you are printing from (if the problem happens only in a single program) or even the pilot.

I'll give you some suggestions to try and I hope that we can get rid of this problem!

First, reset the printer and when you plug it back, just please make sure it is plugged directly into the wall socket. Avoid bars, surge protectors, nothing more.

This may sound weird, but sometimes it really helps and solves the problem.

Then, update the printers firmware: get the latest Firmware and product updates

If the problem persists, follow this guide for printing slow: slow printing

Good luck! I would like to know how to get you out, and if so, I'll help you gladly further.

    Thank you

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you are using a printer all-in-one HP Deskjet 1050 with a Windows 10 PC and the printer takes a long time to print or even copy. I would like to help with that.

I would start by doing a Reset of the power on the printer.

    Hello

I have a LaserJet P3015, which has the "question of slow printing. When I sent a job to the printer it takes 2 to 10 minutes to print. I have changed the drivers, added the printer directly on computers instead of the server. Nothing helps.

    Hello

Thank you for your response. The problem is now resolved. It was caused by the printer PCL6 driver. Switching to PCL5 solved the problem.

  • HP Officejet 5510xi all-in-one: very slow printing

My printer takes forever to print a single page.  I got faaster to work at some point, but do not remember how and now it is not printing normally again.

    Welcome to the @Mary6268forums.

I read your post on the matter of slow printing, you face your Windows 8.1 system when printing to your Officejet 5510xi. I have a few ideas in mind below for you to check and try, and I hope they help!

1 be able to reset the printer:

    Turn on the printer.
With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

Make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on.

    2. run the print and scan the doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

    3. copy of test. Copies also produce very slow?

    4. print from Notepad. The tests also slowly produce here?

    Let me know the results

  • Slow printing Officejet 6110

My very old (8 years) 6110 All In One works well until about two days ago. He started very slow printing, about 5-10 min. per page. It prints at the same speed in all modes. It prints slow even on a test in the menu printer page. I read in the forum that a bad print cartridge can cause this problem. When I turned on the printer this evening, there was an error code that says "remove and check print cartridge". I cleaned the contacts on the cartridge, but nothing has changed. I have no spare cartridges to change. I can not clear the error code to try a test page. I tried all the advice I found on the forum, but no luck. Are there other things I can try? A new series of cartridges will cost me about $60.00. I can buy a 6500 new for $80.00, or a 8500 for $110.00. It is better to waste any more time on it, or it's time to replace the old printer?

    Thank you, BFK

This is caused by the failure of one of your cartridges. I don't remember if the Officejet 6110 print reserve mode, but try the following: remove the black print cartridge and print a test page.  The printer prints at a normal speed?  Is therefore the black cartridge was the issue and needs to be replaced.  If it isn't then, put the black back cartridge in and remove the color cartridge and the test page printed.  If the printer now prints speed the color cartridge is responsible and must be replaced.

Print you a lot?  The 6500 and 8500 have a reservoir of ink separated and the print head.  They are more suitable for frequent printing.  If you are printing only occasionally the Officejet 6110 can be a better choice because it has less overhead for maintenance.

If the printer will not print with a removed cartridge then I would replace the cartridge black with a #27, available for $20.  If this does not resolve the problem, you can try the color cartridge #28, on $26.

  • Slow printing of http for windows network ports 7

Windows 7 professional 64-bit, 16 GB of ram, processor 3.4 mhz.

I read many many posts on this subject.  HOWEVER, I print directly on printers.  HTTP via Cups.  I can load my old XP machine in a virtual machine on windows machine 7 and it prints immediately!  Have already disabled items with netsh int tcp set global chimney = disabled (RSS autotuninglevel thus), bidirectional, coil, firewall, anti-virus, and still the problem persists.

Since it prints fast the same machine with XP and all other users on the network who are still using XP printed correctly.  I know this is Windows 7.  My printer ports are listed as internet ports. (ie: http://myserver:631/imprimantes/printername))  The system is slow if it prints a Ricoh digital, laser, a laser Epson brother or printers matrix okidata.  So I doubt that it is a driver problem.  Hope I gave enough information.  See you soon

    The answer is:

Control Panel/internet options/connections/lan settings uncheck automatically detect settings

  • Officejet 4315 slow printing problems after replacing the print cartridge

my printer was working fine until I replaced my print cartridges. I replaced the black with color with 22 and 21.

my test page prints fine and sometimes my impression is very good. but often, my impression is extremely slow. can't understand why it is slow sometimes and other times it is nice. do not have this problem until I replaced my print cartridges.

I found a post on slow printing and I tried the different steps. don't know what the issue is. Thank you

    Real new ink installed HP?

You could remove the cartridges, reset the printer and turn on without the cartridges, and then reinstall the cartridges. Eliminate any power surge strips or extensions, plug the unit directly into a wall outlet.

When you mention slow, how to slow down? How long to print from the computer exactly? How long for a print job initiated from the printer exactly?

  • Slow printing on HP PhotoSmart C410A

    Hello!

I have a Mac (OS X - Mountain Lion) and a PC (Windows 7 64-bit) connected witelessly to a printer HP PhotoSmart C410A using an Apple AirPort Extreme router.  Occasionally and this is one of those cases, it takes > 5 minutes to print a single page of the PC and > 10 minutes to print a single page of Mac.  By "simple page", I mean a single line "It's a test page" and sent to the help of all the days/project quality.

I rebooted all devices, flush all queues and checked my network speed (> 30 Mbit/s), but the impression is sloooow.  Hit the internal http server makes the page very slowly.  It's almost like the pritnter is extremely overloaded or communication between the PC/Mac and the printer is extremely slow.  However, I have no problems connecting to other devices on my network or even go to the internet.  Thoughts?

Slow printing seems to have resolved itself, but the link you gave me will be useful when you are troubleshooting the next time.  Thank you!!
