  No, only cameras that comes with built in battery module are able to do. You can do that with out batteries from the shelf. In fact, when you have finished using your camera, you must always remove the battery to prevent them from being evacuated. Keeping batteries in cameras can also damage the camera.

Finally, by mistake, I took out one of the two batteries and the mouse is smooth as can be.   It seems that this mouse works fine with one battery but gets all jerky when there two batteries in it.   Open battery compartment. Make sure that the batteries are correctly oned to the device and have been inserted correctly in the holder. Plug in the appliance. Go to Device Manager. Check if the mouse is displayed.

  Try unplugging, removing from the Device Manager, rbooting ther computer and connect again.

  If all fails, look for the receipt and return it. If the store does not accept it, contact Microroft fand arrange a replacement.

  Without knowing the manufacturer, the brand and model of the mouse, it is difficult to say.  They are all different.

  But that being said, I've seen most have a button or a push bottom bar who, when you move it going to go get the cover of the box that contains the batteries (I found is normally on the top at the back of the mouse, but you can not and should not attempt to open until you release as indicated).

  Buy an inexpensive wired USB mouse for less than $5 and see if it works.  As far as I'm concerned wireless mice are more trouble than they are worth.  YMMV :-)
