Flight simulator screen flickers

Hello, I have problems with the Flight Simulator and it only happens when I open the 2d cockpit view and move the mouse around (logitech mouse). The screen flickers or flash and black when the mouse moves, but when I stop the mouse goes everything is normal.  What can I do to fix this?                                                                                           my system is windows vista 32-bit, asus motherboard, bfg 8800gt gpu, mouse logitech and drive key (non gaming) corsair memory 4gig.and wd raptor 150gig Board.    Thanks in advance.

Hi 1 t 0.

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft Forums.

Try disabling 'cockpit ToolTips' or advice to help in your setting screen. Windows 'interfere' with the game to bring up the titles of what your mouse over, and which may cause display problems.

I suggest also to run windows update and make sure that your computer is updated to date and also install the latest drivers for Nvidia display for your (http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us) 8800GT graphics card

Hope that helps you.

Kind regards

  • I installed a flight simulator which caused my screen to zoom in and I can restore to the original... any thoughts?

This occurred after that I installed a microsoft Flight Simulator (2004 version)

    Hello

There are a few things you can try:

    Change the resolution of the screen;

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution

If that fixed it, go to the website of your computer manufacturer > drivers download Section > then key in your computer model number > find your operating system > find two graphics / video or from the Chipset drivers and download and install.

Then try to change the screen resolution.

Or do a system restore to before that happened.

Failed to install Microsoft Flight Simulator, Version Deluxe 2010. I am running Windows 7 Ult 64 bit. The program will not install, it's an error that it cannot find the file. I tried everything, but it does not install. This is the full version of three discs.

Following up on this question. I have install and it will go through the wizard of the insulation. Then, it will come with a large screen. Press ok and then it states that the system has not changed except for... »

I am convinced that Flight simulator is not intended to be run on a 64-bit computer that is very disappointing. I have a program which should install without all the aggravation I had to endure. If you run them 64-bit machines do not buy this product. I tried since it first came out. I feel at the moment where I get it going it will be a version dated date out. Wait until there is a version dedicated 64-bit, you will save yourself a lot of grief. I have an Asus dual core Centrino 2, 2.6 GB h. computer laptop with 4 GB memory. I install my DVD direct program. It worked when the computer is a 32-bit computer.

What finally worked for me when I tried to install MSFSX Gold Edition has been that I copied the disc 1 FS to my office.  Then I copied the contents of the FS 2 disc and put the files in the same folder.  When're asked you if you want to replace the files with the same name on both drives say no.  It seemed to work well for me when nothing else did.

I haven't read of anyone doing this exactly, it's my own invention/workaround bit AFAIK. Hope this works for all of you who cannot make it work otherwise.

Have you tried reallocation of axis?  Expansion of area zero?  Recalibrate the joystick?

  • Getting Flight Simulator 2004 to run in Windows 7

I followed all 10 steps in the Microsoft support article.  I installed the latest drivers.  Flight Simulator will run in mode full screen 800 x 600.  Whenever I hit the key to the menu at the top of the window, the game stops.  I choose the options in the menu, but the menu disappears when I reactivate the game.

It is becoming too much of a hassle for just a simulator and I think seriously just get rid of it and find another simulator which is fully compatible with Windows 7, because FS 2004 certainly isn't.  I don't care if Microsoft thinks it is.

If I understand correctly you are faced with the question with the Combat Flight Simulator 3 after installing a recent security update. You need to reinstall the game after you install the security update. I would say to contact Combat Flight Simulator 3 support for assistance.

  • Restarting Flight Simulator 2004 also freezes

Recently, I noticed that I would use different aircraft to fly, and after completing the checklist, etc., etc. the screen would freeze. Also while flying for several hours (more than 4 hours) is scheduled to restart. Do you have any suggestions? I recently downloaded the 9.1 in the Flight Simulator 2004 update. I had this program for years and never had any problems until now. Windows 7 Home premium X 64 is the system I use. Thank you for your help.

  • Combat Flight Simulator 2 gives me a msg incompatible cfs2 and does not work on Windows 7.

Combat Flight Simulator 2 disk #1 install.  Disk #2 installs but won't allow game to run.  A message, incompatibility problem: cfs2, appears on the screen.  I tried the "older versions of programs do work under windows 7 (who has worked on both Vista and XP) but not prevail.»  How can I solve this problem?

    Thank you for your help.

    Steve

CFS 2 will run on Win7. I installed it on Win7 64 bit.
I haven't used compatibility but XP sp2 would be the best option.
To select a compatibility mode R/click on the shortcut of the games and click on properties.
Then click on the Compatibility tab.
It may work better if you install using compatibility mode. To do this open the games install
disk, and then use the Setup.exe to put in compatibility mode before installing.

It could also be a permissions problem. Check the "Run as administrator..." option on the Compatibility tab.
I avoid permissions issues when installing do not play to the default location - Program Files (x 86).
