Flow of JOINT-2

Cisco Doc said that JOINT-2 rate is 600Mbps in promiscuous mode, so what bitrate I would get if I just send traffic to the data port.

The actual Note: we have several devices, Cisco IDS, 4215 s up through 4250XLs and JOINT-2s. None of them meeting their nominal number, fall packages most start at 1/3 of their claimed capacity. This is even after several cases of TAC and the extensive investigation by the engineers of TAC and internal developers. Maybe if you stop 90% of the signatures you can get there. Don't believe the hype.

  • JOINT-2 flow in Bypass Mode?

HI, I have documentation cisco joint-2 a 500Mbps flow in inline mode and the throughput of 600Mbps in passive.so guess our ihsane-2's in inline mode, then if we put our joint-2 in Bypass mode, how traffic joint-2 can handle without any inspection? (flow)?

    Thank you.

The JOINT-2 would be only supported to the same 500Mbps for inspection and by-pass.

There is not a separate ByPass mode ranking.

Having said that, the JOINT-2 will be much higher than 500Mbps in ByPass mode (assuming that nothing else on the sensor).

But I don't know how much of more since don't usually test us the performance in ByPass mode.

You wouldn't want to plan your network on the performance of ByPass capacity.

The other reason is that when the sensor bypass there will be something else in the sensor.

In the case of an update of the Signature, there will be a treatment of signing consuming much of the CPU and memory for ByPass will not perform to its peak performance.

  • JOINT inspection on 100% load

Now I have JOINT with 100% load on the rush hour and followed by missed packets percentage increasing at this time where inspection.

The JOINT interface puts as an interface promiscuity

It's my network throughput will be limited by the load max JOINT inspection / flow which is 600Mbps?

    Thank you

    Marcel.

No, the flow wil not be limited in the network when you are in promiscous mode. But your visibility for attacks is very limited.

You must configure your settings of term/capture on the 6 k 5 only send so much traffic that this module can handle the method.

Please keep in mind that the JOINT-2 is a system of ten years and cannot catch up with the typical traffic demand, we are having today. It's time to change the JOINT against a real external sensor.

  • Mode Inline JOINT-2

    Hello

I work with the JOINT-2, we have Cisco 6509 with CSM and FWSM, we plan JOINT-2 in Inline mode and now I want to track the traffic that arrives through Interface from outside the context of FW (which is nothing but a VLAN A, B VLAN, Vlan C. on MSFC)

Data flow: JOINT - ISP RTR - internal RTR - FWSM - MSFC CSM.

    JOINT version is 5.1 (4) S257.0,.

It will support only two VLANS (IN and OUT) on the access mode.

My problem is that I don't know how to analyze the traffic of 3 numbers of VLANS (A, B, C).

    Cisco 6509 - Version 12.2 (18) SXF7,.

You can use the mode to pair for the VLAN inline to monitor traffic entering on VLAN specific. For example

You have VLAN 100 200 and 300 on MSFC that you want to watch inline.

You must configure the VLAN 101 201 and 301 (L2 only) and send the VLAN 100-101 200-201 300-301 to JOINT-2.

You then create pairs VLAN on JOINT-2 module as below

    1 pair of VLAN 100-101-1

    2 pair of VLAN 200-201-2

    3 - VLAN 300-301 - pair 3

Then set over three pairs of virtual sensor and will monitor this traffic for online operation.

Inline VLAN pair mode is based on VLANs, so it doesn't really matter if them VLANS are behind or front of the FWSM.

    See you soon,.

  • What happens when JOINT-2 performance is exceeded

    Hello

We have JOINT-2 with about 20 pairs of vlan inline in the test environment. What happens to online traffic ourselves, said a flow of 500 Mbps? Falls of traffic or is it transmitted without IPS inspection.

If you exceed the capacity of the sensor monitoring, then the packets that cannot be monitored will be abandoned by the sensor.

NOTE: 500Mbps isn't a number of absolute performance for the sensor. It's a level of performance that the sensor has been testeed to be able to manage for certain types of traffic used in the performance test. We don't know exactly how much traffic the sensor will be able to manage to your network. The JOINT-2 will probably handle around 500 Mbps is a lot and even most customer networks. However, the networks vary, and in some networks, it can handle quite a bit less traffic and other networks can handle even more.

So the question is not what will happen if you send more than 500 Mbps, but rather what will happen if you send more traffic than what the sensor is able to monitor. And the answer is that all traffic that cannot be monitored because of the limitations of performance will be dropped by the sensor.

The only time where the packets are forwarded without inspection is if sensorApp has ceased to monitor all packets (a reconfiguration or an upgrade is in progress, or the process of sensorApp crashed) AND the functionality of the software workaround August kicks. Which case all packets will be forwarded without analysis.

  • Return VPN traffic flows do not on the tunnel

    Hello.

I tried to find something on the internet for this problem, but am fails miserably. I guess I don't really understand how the cisco decides on the road.

In any case, I have a Cisco 837 which I use for internet access and to which I would like to be able to complete a VPN on. When I vpn (using vpnc in a Solaris box as it happens which is connected to the cisco ethernet interface), I can establish a VPN and when I ping a host on the inside, I see this package ping happen, however, the return package, the cisco 837 is trying to send via the public internet facing interface Dialer1 without encryption. I can't work for the life of me why.

(Also note: I can also establish a tunnel to the public internet, but again, I don't can not all traffic through the tunnel.) I guess I'm having the same problem, IE back of packages are not going where it should be, but I do know that for some, on the host being ping well, I can see the ping arriving packets and the host responds with a response to ICMP echo).

    Ciao,.

    Hi Eric,.

(Sorry for the late reply - needed some holidays)

So I see that you have a few steps away now. I think that there are 2 things we can try:

    1)

I guess you have provided that:

IP nat inside source overload map route SDM_RMAP_1 interface Dialer1

Since the routemap refers to ACL 100 to define the traffic to be translated, we can exclude traffic that initiates the router:

    Access-list 100 category SDM_ACL = 2 Note

    access-list 100 deny ip 123.12.12.185 host everything
    access-list 100 deny ip any 10.10.148.0 0.0.0.255
    access ip-list 100 permit a whole

Which should prevent the source udp 4500 to 1029 changing port

    OR

    2)

If you prefer to use a different ip address for VPN,

Then, you can use a loop like this:

    loopback interface 0

    123.12.12.187 the IP 255.255.255.255

    No tap

    map SDM_CMAP_1 crypto local-address loopback 0

I don't think you should apply card encryption to the loopback interface, but it's been a while since I have configured something like that, so if you have problems first try and if still does not get the crypto debugs new (isakmp + ipsec on the vpn, nat router on the router of the client package).

  • How to export complete MP3 stereo, stereo not joint?

Just installed CC 2015 and went through a few quick tests to see which would have an impact on my current job.

Just noticed that the hearing has no setting to tell him not to export a stereo stereo WAV, joinMP3 t. I see many other settings for the MP3 export, but not this one, and each test I tried joint stereo fate. It will not work. Export how hearing full stereo MP3 files (that is, how can we do this with this tool)?

There is certainly nothing labelled as such. MP3 encoder is supplied directly from Fraunhofer, including Adobe pay a fee. The options that come with it are those who plan to Fraunhofer, and these have changed a bit over the years - I think know that they provide revised versions when the software changes version - or something like that, anyway.

The only true for stereo files not joint in MP3 form is designed so that you can have completely different materials on each channel. Normal joint stereo looks at differences in channel and also necessary at all flow rates now to optimize the coding gain and optimizes all appropriate coding. A completely POV separated, setting for each channel bit rate should improve things dramatically - I did a quick experiment to see what happens. 1 kHz tone on one channel and noise from the other and saved the result as CBR 192 k. decode the result shows that it is remarkably clean - both signals is a not interact at all. It is by no means a comprehensive test (MP3 is actually quite difficult to test overall this POV), but it is better that I thought it would be.

So I think that with this version, select the constant bit rate (CBR) is effectively setting the encoder as non-joint for all purposes useful.

I had a certain audio hang ups today.

Has anyone else seen elsewhere? He is not related to hiring, occurs during playback of MP3 and FLAC.

Looks like a problem with the network for me, however.

I use an Airport express to keep WiFi (faster flow network).

First of all, you did recently updated on your Mac or the AirPort Express? You use a VPN connection to the streaming source? Using Back to My Mac? Since you play files FLAC, I assume that you do not use iTunes as the audio server... correct?

I recommend that you start troubleshooting cela by disabling the DNS cache on your MacBook Air with this command in Terminal:

I have a MacBook Pro 15 "(mi-2015) running OS X 10.11.5 which is connected via a cat-6 cable for the TC of 4th generation." I changed the cable, without result. I've updated the firmware on both cameras from 7.6.3 to 7.6.7 without result.

What I observed in copying a file of ~ 1 GB to and from each of the Finder window time capsule, is that on the first try for each flow is good: 30 to 50 MB/s on the 3rd generation and maybe 50 - 75 MB/sec on the 4th gen unit. But if I try again (and each subsequent attempt), the flow is * much * lower in each direction, ranging from 30 MB/sec up to 7 MB/s; It is with much longer correlate for the transfer to complete. I am able flow by using the 'Network' tab on the activity monitor approx. unplug the 3rd-gen unit has no effect.

Does anyone have an idea what could be the cause of the inconsistencies? I checked, and in my testing Time Machine or CrashPlan were back up.

You have wireless off in the MBP?

Otherwise, please turn off... even if ethernet is top of the list for the wireless connection may cause problems.

Can you please move the ethernet cable to the Gen3 of MBP unit and see if you get the same effect.

This seems a strange effect, so it may take a bit of track.

  • I can't find a list of the RSS FEED so I can remove a. I import into Outlook, where I deleted the flow, but can not reload the RSS.

When I use Explorer, there is a place that lists all the my FLOW RSS I can delete, open, etc... I can't find a similar place on FireFox.

There is an RSS feed that I have download problems on my Outlook, and I would like to remove the workflow & recharge. (I deleted my Outlook.).

Any suggestions on where I can find a list of my RSS FEED?

Firefox does not have a specific list of items in RSS feed.

Those who are treated like all the other favorites and are managed in the bookmarks (library) Manager.

    • Bookmarks > show all bookmarks

IE stores each favorite as a separate folder on the hard drive and probably need a special treatment for its elements of flow, but Firefox stores the bookmarks and history in a file places.sqlite database.

So if you have not placed the RSS all items in a folder of bookmarks or otherwise marked then them it will be difficult to locate them all.

  • HP Jet 8: 8 HP flow can't keep not fresh, takes place at 0% even when it is plugged

My HP flow 8 tablet has never held public office.  I leave it plugged in all night and the next day it is fully charged, but the charge only lasts 2 hours at the most, even if it is plugged I use it all the time.  He goes down to 0% and turns off.  I put aside for several hours to recharge.

I'm looking for another Tablet, but the flow 8 HP serves all my needs except that it only lasts 2 hours before going to 0% while I use it, even if it is plugged in all the time.  I really hope to solve the problem, rather than having to buy a new tablet.

    Any suggestions?

If you hold the low volume button while powering it will enter in the BIOS boot menu, you can press F2 to run diagnostics and there is a component for the battery test.  I think you are saying that the screen turns off after that two hours than even when the charger is plugged in, it does not seem that should happen.  If you have not already, try another charger.  If you plug the USB on another computer, which will allow to load also.  You can update the BIOS if you have not already too.

  • Seen the lines flow on several pages

I have this problem in the Pages on Mac, what really bothers me.

When I have a blank page, and I add a table and add as many lines that I wish, Pages will automatically pause at some point and the lines with continue to pour in on the next page. Just like on this picture here:

Now if there is already text in front of this painting, it won't work. Instead, the ENTIRE table will go to the next page. How boring is that?

This is what it looks like when there is text before the table:

And now I add some more lines, and what is its role? It does here:

Someone knows how to fix this? I want the table to stay just below the text and lines flow into the next page without all of the table on the next page. It's crazy how is complicated Pages.

I hope that it is possible to do at all! Thank you.

Found the solution. Or better said, to find a person on the internet.

Select the entire document (select an empty space on the page somewhere). Go to the "Format" tab (at the top right), then the tab «More»

Then uncheck the box "prevent window & orphan lines."

And it works! Maybe this will help someone.
