• Photosmart 7150: Printer prints correct colors of the web; printing of background colors incorrect when you print the document

  I have a Dell desktop computer, using Windows 7 with a HP Photosmart 7150 (I know this is an older model, but I have no reason to spend).

  When you print to the web, the colors are printed similar to what we see on the screen.  When I try to print a document that includes a background with color, the color prints differently.   The document I'm working on that requires a background textured printing on glossy photo paper.  When the document is formatted with a brownish background, the background is printed bright green.  When the document is formatted with a blue background lighting, the background is printed a bright torquoise.

  I worked with the printer settings changing the quick project to the best print quality. increases the magenta color, but nothing seems to work.  The ink cartridge is fairly recent. I hate wasting more paper and ink.

  Thank you for taking the time to try to help solve the problem of color with my printer.  I solved the problem: I had a PHOTO, #58 print cartridge in the printer.  When I changed for the black cartridge, #56, colors came out as it should.

  How a Photosmart 7150 cut 20 pixels from the edges printed everything without margin (low is only 15 pixels) using 4 by 6 in the document with tab?  Image was created in Photoshop CS3 on a PC running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 with the latest drivers from the HP site (Vista 64 more patch Windows 7).

  This is normal, the MECHANIZATION of the printer printing slightly to make sure there are no white borgers due to misalignment of paper.  You can possibly reduce the overspray by going to the settings of the printer, Advanced and adjust the overspray to the minimum.

• HP Photosmart 7150 driver

  I need the printer driver for a HP Photosmart 7150. Is no longer supported by HP.

  On the support page HP for the Photosmart 7150 (http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-photosmart-7150-printer-series/72880), HP says a driver for this printer is available to "Windows integrated solution."

  Well that the link "more" after the message is broken, what HP means is that you need to connect your printer to your computer and when the computer detects it, you should get a pop-up window asking for permission to connect to Windows Update.  You should allow this and make sure you have an active Internet connection.

  If you do not get the message pop up, there are two methods more to use.

  Method 1

  1. Unplug the printer
  2. Click on the start ORB, then click on devices and printers
  3. Click on "add a printer".
  4. Click "add a local printer.
  5. Select "Via an existing port" and leave the default "LPT1: (Printer Port)" and click Next
  6. Select "HP" in the left section and go down via the entries on the right to confirm that you do not have "Photosmart 7150" listed (the 'Photosmart C7100 Series' and 'Photosmart D7100' series is not the same as your printer). "
  7. Click on the 'Windows Update' button
  8. Wait (this may take a while)
  9. When the update is complete, return to the list.
  10. Click 'Cancel' to close the wizard

  If in step 9, you find that the "Photosmart 7150" is now included in the list, connect your printer to your computer, turn on the printer, and it should install.

  If in step 9, you find that there is still no entry for 'Photosmart 7150', you'll have to do things the hard way, which is the method 2.

  Method 2

  1. Using Internet Explorer (only), go to http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=photosmart%207150
  2. You will see that there are 51 entries for this printer.  I can't tell you what is perhaps the differences between the different downloads.  Here's what I would do if I were you, but that's only a guess:
     • Select one of the elements in date 21/03/2007
     • Click on the name of the item to view details.  If the line 'Architecture', says X 86, the element is a 32-bit version of Windows 7; If the line of 'The Architecture' says AMD64, the element is for a 64 bit version of Windows 7
     • Make a note of the item that is compatible with your version of Windows 7; Choose the one that says "(DOT4USB)".
     • Click on the button 'Add' for the selected item
     • Click on 'View basket' (just below the top-right search box)
     • Click on 'Download' - a pop up window will open
     • Click on the button 'Browse' in the pop-up and respond to the UAC prompt if necessary
     • Select the location to save the item (I suggest your desktop) and click OK. Click on continue
     • Once the file is downloaded, close all windows
  3. Article that you have downloaded will be a folder named something like "Hewlett-Packard - printing - HP Photosmart 7150 series (DOT4USB)": this folder contains a file * .cab, which is a compressed file which must be expanded before you can use it.  There are several methods that you can use to do this, but I suggest that you download and install for free 7-zip (http://7-zip.org/)
     • Create an empty folder in the same location where you saved the downloaded folder (for example, your desktop computer); call it something like "HP 7150 Driver".
     • Start 7 - zip and click file > open
     • Navigate to the folder that you downloaded, and then double-click this folder so that the cab file (which probably has a very long name indicating the languages included) is displayed in the window of 7 - zip
     • Click "Extract" and then click on the button «...» "right out of the box" extract to ". Select the new empty folder, you have created and click OK
     • Click on OK and when the extraction is complete, close 7 - zip
  4. The content of the new file should look like the following (you can't see (cab, cat inf) file name extensions unless you have configured Windows to display these):

     

  5. Click on the start ORB, then click on devices and printers
  6. Select any item in the section 'printers and faxes '.
  7. Click on 'Print server properties' at the top of the printers and devices window
  8. Click on the "Drivers" tab
  9. Click "Add" to open the "Add Printer Wizard driver"
  10. Choose the right processor (32-bit or 64-bit) does not select "Itanium".
  11. In the window "Selection of the printer driver, click on"disk ".
  12. Click 'Browse' and go to the folder where you have extracted the contents of the cab file downloaded (for example, "HP 7150 Driver")
  13. Select the file.  If more than one file appears, select "hpp7150s.inf" (or hpp7150s if file extensions are not displayed).  Click Open and then click OK
  14. You should now be at the next window:

      Click "Next" and "Finish."

  15. You should now be back to the list of printer drivers in the "Print server properties" dialog box, and the list will now include a driver for your HP 7150.
  16. Connect your printer and turn it on.
  17. If all goes well, your printer should now install.

  18. Photosmart 7150 scan to my Apple laptop does not

      Fine, I can print.  (Have latest OSX Yosemite update on my lap top).  Can not scan my lap top.

  20. Photosmart 7150 Apps does not print

      All tests indicate that the printer is connected to my network.  However, when I try to print something from apps on the printer, I get a message, not connected to the network.  The computer is a laptop from Apple under the latest operating system.

  22. Photosmart 7150: photosmart 7150, alignment, adjustment ink issues

      Last week my printer cart stuck on the left side of the printer because of a "paper jam", although there is no paper stuck inside the printer.  I followed the instructions found on this Web site to manually move the carriage & unplug.

      That worked and the printer reprinted... except that now I am unable to adjust the print quality - I chose Fast project in the properties for each document, I tried to print and it is printing on Normal or Normal Fast, can not say that, but it uses more ink project Fast and take longer to print.

      In addition, the other problem is the alignment is off - documents are printing crooked - the top left margin is shorter than the upper right.

      I would like ideas on how to get this printer working properly again.  I know it's old, but it's always worked so well so far.  Thank you in advance.

      I would say first of all turn off the printer, unplug the unit for about 5 minutes and then restarting him.

  24. Photosmart C309g full pilot soft ' download problem?

      Hi, downloaded twice the software and driver (165 MB) for this machine to my Lenovo Netbook Win 7 Home Premium. Configuration USB connection for the first time, then couldn't find a way to change the WIFI so downloaded again to establish a WIFI connection. On each occaision, I was able to connect and print but do not seem to have the HP Solutions software and some of the desktop icons is also never appeared on either occaision. Can someone tell me why? Ta! KS

      Hi neon, seems I have solved the problem. File - Program files (64-bit) / HP/Imaging Digital/CCD42CCf-/ HPZSTUB and clicked on it, unpacked and installed everything I wanted. I now have more icons on the desktop - ' picture Creation, "Solutions Center" & "HP supplies Shopping." Also have a small widget called 'Drop pictures to print' that I will investigate. Everything else works OK wireless. Do not understand why I had to do it with all the frustration! I'm glad that I bought an iMac! KS

  25. Photosmart 6520 - ePrint-pilot

      I installed the HP ePrint driver on my laptop (W7 Home Premium 64 - bit), that made me a printer named "HP ePrint. Use the printer on the network works fine.

      It's just that I can't change a great many properties of the printer using this driver. If I try, I just get the choice: [1] #copies to print, [2] 1 or 2 pages per sheet, [3] print grayscale (or not) and [4] printing single or double sided. That's all.

      This is how it is supposed to be (with ePrint)? Is there maybe something that will give me control paper-size, use of colours etc etc? All the things I can control when using the printer via a USB connection.

  26. HP Photosmart 7150 don't like new color cart PLS HLP

      I just bought a pack double black/color for my printer.  Put the black cart, works very well.  Equip the color cart and yellow ink just flashing.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

      I tried to put the old cartridges in, they still work fine despite its seriously low on ink.  I also tried cleaning the contacts.

      If the color cartridge is faulty, is it possible that HP can it guarantee?

      Yes, the cartridges have their own dates of warranty on the cartridges. Dial 800-HP-Invent. They can help you determine if the cartridge is defective and then replace it if it needs to be replaced.

  27. dv2620us: Nvidia GeForce 7150 m/nForce630m is not compatible with Windows 10

      I know I had this discussion before, but I was hoping someone might have an update or new discovery.

      Upgrade Windows 10 stipulates that this computer is not compatible because of the Nvidia display.

      I checked to see if HP had an update for this driver and concluded that the recommended solution was to go to Nvidia.

      NVIDIA indicates that the manufacturer's laptop should do the update, which makes kind of sense to me.

      So, if HP does not want to do the update, it seems to be a catch 22, I probably can't upgrade (for one of the most beautiful laptops never facts) to 10 Windows because there is no compatible video driver.

      I look on the forum and the only thing I found was an instance "resolved" from Scott1234, but it was for a 32-bit installation and had a few bugs (see below). The link is on a UK site, so I think that I'm not comfortable to do it for my machine, at least not not yet.

      Would appreciate any comment that someone might solve this problem.

      SDF15, it has been a while since we talked last.  I found a solution to the Nvidia GeForce 7150/nForce630M pilot questions posted by 'msddjd' can't find GeForce 7150 M/nForce 630 M Driver for Windows 10.  In this post the simple answer is just to reinstall the original Nvidia drivers.

      Only a step I found necessary to install Windows 10 via an ISO image because Microsoft has refused to allow the automatic update for this platform (dv2620us).  Once this was accomplished, and all the warnings about display problems have been laid off, I downloaded and installed display drivers Nvidia Vista/Win7 origin for this computer.

      It was of course a good solution for the computer laptop dv2620us and msddjd material dealt with.  Not sure this is a solution for everyone, but well worth a try.  I have not found anything in 10 Windows which does not work with this configuration.  So, I consider this a solved problem... Finally! Wohoo!
