Foglight monitoring Windows services

the majority of our servers are running on VM, vFoglight is very convenient on the system and monitoring of resources. But if I have to watch the top and to the bottom of the application processes, without having to install any agent. Any suggestions?

Yes, you need an agent for each host that you want to monitor the services, but these agents can run remotely, which means that you can have multiple agents on a single host FglAM WindowsHost.

  • Someone at - it smart enough to: «host process for Windows Services has stopped working...» » ?

    I have spent a week on this problem, looking all over the internet and doubt that someone knows enough to solve this problem. I've been a software engineer for 30 years and never worked on an operating system such as buggy windows Vista (or windows)

    I got TWO errors. They may be related.

    = The first is with Windows Update

    -If you know, I tried:

    At ran windows BITS difficulty
    ran sfc/scannow (it found and fixed some iexplorer 8 _)
    has ran defrag and
    has ran chkdsk
    drivers replaced with the latest news from Toshiba
    has run hardware diagnostics - no problem

    I tried with and without firewalls and AV running.
    I don't run AVG control and malware - no problem

    Windows Update always fails.

    Machine: Vista 32 Home Premium SP2 on a Toshiba Qosmio computer laptop X 305-Q705 4 Gig Duo P7350 Intel with nvidia

    Otherwise, Windows works fine. Net access is fine using Mozilla. Even correctly downloaded files. BUT

    I get this error: windows update does NOT. It gives an error "failed", whose code is:

    0X80072EFE-2147012866 ERROR_INTERNET_CONNECTION_ABORTED

    Also, sometimes strange, windows displays an error dialog box:

    "Host process for Windows Services stopped working and was closed"

    Hey Joe,

    I see that you have updated your drivers.

    Have you updated your chipset for this PC drivers?

    Are you overclocking PC or running a RAID configuration?

    I suggest to remove all external devices during the diagnostic process, except the keyboard, mouse and monitor.

    If you think this error is with IE, you can try running it without Add - ons.

    Alternatively, you can try to reset the Internet Explorer settings.

  • information on the process for cigars for a windows service

    Is there a way to monitor the process information of type sigar for a process that is running as a windows service?  I have a plugin this info from autodiscovers and measures for the service using perfmon:
    < name metric = "availability".
    model = "win32:Service = ${service_name}": availability ""
    indicator = "true" / >
    < name of the filter = "object" value = "Process" / >
    < name of the filter = 'process '.
    value="Win32:type=formatted,object=${object},instance=%process.name%"/ >
    < name of the filter = 'template '.
    value = "${process}: ${name}" / >
    < name metric = "% privileged time" / >
    I like to shoot in all measures of process - metrics.xml for example:
    < name metric = "size of virtual memory for the process."
    Template="sigar:type=ProcMem,arg=%process.query%:size".
    units = 'B' / >
    I can do this directly, but I really need a way to link the process of return to service.  There are processes with duplicated names (but unique PIDs) with unique service names.

    Hi Chris,

    You can use the name of the service for the ptql query, for example:

    java-jar sigar.jar ps Service.Name.eq = Eventlog
    1036 SYSTEM Nov11 36M 4,2 M - R 11:51 C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe

    Sigar below will search the process pid by using the name of the service.

    You will also find plugins that can use "Pid.Service.eq", which is the same query below.  Has since been replaced by the following:

  • Problem: WebLogic Node Manager under Windows Services

    Hi all

    Details of the environment :
    -Windows Server 2008 R2 - x 64
    -Oracle WebLogic Server 11 g R1 (10.3.6.0) - generic
    -Reports and forms oracle 11g R2 (11.1.2.0) - x 64
    -Oracle JRockit JDK R28.3.0 - x 64

    I have windows servers that we want managers node and managed to run instances. As you can see I would like to run Node Manager under Windows Services.

    I use this guide:

    < a link = http://wlsjavatips.blogspot.com/2009/09/how-to-install-node-manager-as-windows.html >http://wlsjavatips.blogspot.com/2009/09/how-to-install-node-manager-as-windows.html< /a >

    Create boot.properties that include the user name and password:

    - AdminServer (location: < WL_HOME > \user_projects\domains\ < DomainName > \servers\AdminServer\data\nodemanager)
    - WLS_FORMS (location: < WL_HOME > \user_projects\domains\ < DomainName > \servers\WLS_FORMS\data\nodemanager)
    - WLS_REPORTS (location: < WL_HOME > \user_projects\domains\ < DomainName > \servers\WLS_REPORTS\data\nodemanager)

    Results :
    1 are you able to automatically start all servers (AdminServer, WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS) after the server restarted.
    2. I can't access to http:// < hostname >: 7001/console, < hostname > http://: 7001/em, http:// < hostname >: 9001/forms/frmservletand http:// < hostname >: 9002/reports/rwservlet

    Questions :
    1. on WebLogic Console http:// < hostname >: 7001/console, the status of AdminServer, WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS are running, but the State of health is OK just to AdminServer, and others have no status.
    2. as I said before, I can run my form on http:// < hostname >: 9001/forms/frmservlet and run my report on http:// < hostname >: 9002/reports/rwservlet. But when I found
    on Order FM OEM http:// < hostname >: 7001/em, the State of WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS are down. I can't monitor sessions connected to the server and I can not change the configurations via EM.

    Any help is greatly appreciated and sorry for my bad English.

    Thank you and best regards,

    -Rob-

    Hello

    After a reboot the server I had the same problem, also windows environment. AdminServer but OK/console WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS nothing.

    Process Explorer indicated there are 3 java process for each server that had begun the nodemanager (beasvc)
    Also everything worked very well for end users, but not for the side default where forms and reports where "down".

    I added settings offers and reinstalled the service nodemanger. But always without success.

    Finally I solved it by stopping the servers (WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS) in the / console and by them from the option default (fusion middleware control)

    Everything is 'healthy' and 'OK' again!

    I think that nodemanager and the opmn obtained in a "things are complicated" after the break-up... I mean :) server restart

    Do you offer a lighter solution?

    It's strange, but what you mean with batch mode?
    You can start in safe mode?

    I think the best way is to reinstall Windows with the recovery disk. It only takes a few minutes and then you have the new installation of Windows with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba.

  • Pavilion 140 550 - t: unable to connect to the windows service

    Not sure if it's the good advice of post, but here goes.

    Just got the HP computer yesterday and installed Norton Security, Malwarebytes, and Windows Live Mail (do not like the version of Mail). Now, when I start it, I get "Unable to connect to the Windows Service" pop up and WLM crashes when I try to open it. What the DEVIL?

    Had the same problem on the one I just replaced. My laptop became the 'Group Policy' error thing, but I think I fixed it.

    Any suggestions? Windows is a joke!

    If it is Norton Security, then it's a firewall as well and firewalls blocking things, it's that they are supposed to do. So demand for three, you said that this is probably the cause.

    But if you do not want to test it, then try the system restore I've mentioned or reload the image origin, then just put in place the email again and see if it works without the other two installed, first to see if it will work with anything else in the picture.

    If these procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, good reputation and stand-alone computer (that is, not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) repair facility.

  • Download Windows Service Pack 2

    I have trouble downloading SP2. When I try to download it via windows update, the download starts then I get an error screen saying "The Installation was not successful." Below that was "Item could not be found."

    I tried to download the standalone windows Download Center service pack, but it still doesn't work.

    Can someone help me please? I'm doing something wrong? Someone at - it similar problems?
