• Pavilion DV5-1015nr: How can I activate the connection Wireless on laptop DV5-1015nr?

  After upgrading my laptop DV-5-1015nr (x 64) from Vista to Win 7 wireless switch (just above the 'Insert' key) stays red, no matter how many times I press on this subject. In Device Manager, I see the Networl cards drivers I installed Win 7' work properly': Broadcom 4321AG 802.11a/b/g/draft-n Wi - Fi (sp45524) adapter and Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller (Realtec v7.003.0213.2009).  HP does not offer a x 64 driver for the latter, so I got it from Realtek.

  Here are the steps I've tried so far:

  1 makes sure that Windows Explorer has been implemented.

  2 start-> Control Panel-> Network Sharing Center-> manage network wireless-> add-> manually create a profile network-> used the settings on my smart phone which is able to connect to the Internet:

  ~ Network name: 52GT6

  ~ Type of security: WPA2-Personal

  ~ Encryptiontype: AES

  ~ Security key: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  ~ Start this connection automatically: Yes

  ~ Connect even if the network is not broadcasting: No.

  3. click on 52GT6-connection > tab-> select as follows.

  ~ Automatically connect...: Yes

  ~ Connect to a more preferred...: No.

  ~ Connect even if the network is not broadcasting...: No.

  ~ Activate the WLAN connection setting: Yes

  4 OK.

  I click on 'Connect to a network' and receive a notification that "no connection is available. Running a diagnostic feature of "Troubleshooting" reports that the 'wireless capability is turned off." By pressing the switch wireless does not turn on the wireless feature.

  I went to this problem all day. Anyone able to help me?

• Dv5-1015nr: need graphics driver for nVidia GeForce for DV5-1015nr (Win7)

  I upgraded my laptop DV5-1015nr (x 64) from Vista to Windows 7 but am unable to find a driver for Windows 7 64 bit video. The relevant HP support page does not offer one for Win 7 (wow!), or not nVidia (hard to believe). I tried a few packs of series of other sites but none the GeForce 9 M were compatible. It's very disappointing. Does anyone know if or where I could find a driver for the nVidia 9200M GS graphics card / 9600M GT for my laptop DV5-1015nr?

  First, install all Windows Update

  Problem: After installing the drivers updated on HP site, the touchpad is not working.

  Action: remove the synaptics driver and reinstall the synaptics touchpad driver 55665.exe sp. While trying to installit, I received the message: "this program could not have installed correctly". I repeated the procedure without success.

  Welcome to the HP Forum.

  If you are satisfied with the version of the driver that you downloaded, and then follow these steps to relax things in working order.

  Be aware: this method of reset does NOT erase or change your data.  The Hard Reset simply erases the memory for the drivers and software are read from charge in the operating system installed.

  Perform the Hard Reset .  Start the computer and connect

  ===========================================================================================

  The following driver is newer than the one that you just installed.

  • Download and do not install this driver:

  Synaptics TouchPad Driver V16.0.5.1 sp57302

  • Remove the driver you have installed using this program: Fixit
  • Restart the computer and log in.  A driver can install, let that happen.
  • Install the downloaded driver.
  • Restart the computer and log in.

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! I read your post on the Forums of HP Support and see that you are curious about the Folio 13-1053 laptop computer that HP and replacing the battery for her because she does not last as long he uses for.

  You could try the HP troubleshooting documentation called first test and calibrate the battery (10 of Windows). Sometimes the battery just needs to be tested and calibrated with Notepad.

  If the tests and calibration does not work, you can use HP PartSurfer website to find a spare battery. Here is the information of the spare part you need to be able to order the correct spare part.

  This is Service and Maintenance Guide for your laptop. If you look at Chapter 4, pages 35 and 36, you will see that it shows you step by step instructions on how to replace the battery.

• HP Folio13: Reset Bios Password Folio 13

  After that 3 failure tent I get system disabled and code 84608061.  It is a Folio 13 running Windows 7

  Please try this password = 31760067

  Steps to follow:

  1. use the posted above unlock code to access the BIOS

  2 disable all passwords that are enabled

  3. If the request for current password - enter the unlock code

  4. for the new password, simply press the ENTER key

  5. repeat the same thing to check the password column.

  6. then exit the BIOS saving & exit option to save the changes.

  Troubleshooting:

  Incase if the password does not work please try a Hard Reset as follows.

  1. power off the laptop

  2 disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery

  3. press the Power button for 30 seconds

  4. connect the power supply/AC adapter (leave the battery for now) & start Notepad

  5. If now see you a password, please enter the same password I've shared before and press on enter

  According to the laptop from HP Folio 13 - specifications Folio 13 HP Bluetooth supports Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). If you have problems to operate I advise you to try the next steps and re-post if you still continue to have problems.

  Step 1. Go to Device Manager
  Step 2. Right click on "Bluetooth device" you want
  Step 3. Select "update driver software... »
  Step 4. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software".
  Step 5. Choose "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.
  Step 6. Select "Ports (COM & LPT)"
  Step 7. Select "Microsoft" to the list of "manufacturers".
  Step 8. Finally select "Standard series via a Bluetooth connection.

I KNOW USB 2.0 had problems on these laptops since the date of manufacture.  My cell phone is always underwarrenty, I need an address to send it in to fix it.
