Footer positioned absolutly do not stick to bottom of page

My site is http://thedrink.org/drupaltest2/?q=node/4

The div #block - block - 2 is absolutely positioned downwards. Is its only div containing the value relative positioing #page. #page, body and html are all set min-height of 100%.

Why is #block - block - 2 not pinned to the bottom of the page?

Thank you

    When I do a select on your websites homepage I noticed that there are some images being selected from outside your mode of creation (approximately 150 pixels to the right of the main menu) and a little on the bottom left,

    that could push the page to the right. When I do a select on another page there are now images outside of your main design field.

  • Absolute positioned div does not display do not properly on the iPad/mobile devices

    Hi guys,.

    I made a website that works in the usual web browsers and seems fine. However, my customer brought to my attention that the logo shifts on the far right during a test on an iPad or mobile phone. I checked on my HTC and the customer seems to be just.

    The div tag that the logo is in is positioned absolutely with a value of 'left' to make him sit on the navigation bar and doesn't interfere with anything else. I thought about using a style alternative and added the code...

    < link rel = "stylesheet" href = "scripts/styleAlt.css" type = "text/css" media = "Pocket" / > "

    .. .but it made no difference.

    I was wondering if someone else would be able to take a look and see if we can come up with a solution please is the website here - as I say, that's good in FF or IE, but screw upwards on mobile devices, I think.

    Thank you very much and I hope to hear from you.

    All the best,

    SM

    In fact, the logo is not spend but what does elsewhere on the page.  When you use position: absolute, you delete the content of the normal flow of the document.  The AP element is positioned compared to the next positioned parent element.  And if none is declared in your CSS, the element is from the top of the browser, and to the right.

    By the way, if you resize your viewport in Firefox, IE, etc... you will see the same thing happen.

    A quick fix is to add the position: relative to your division #container.

    #container {}

    Width: 859px;

    margin: 0 auto;

    position: relative;

    }

    In addition, you need to set again positioning of the logo.

  • Problems during the withdrawal of position: absolute

    Hi all

    I was hired as a graphic designer for a lighting wholesaler not too long ago and have been invited to rethink our old site "my & pa" since. I'm not very practiced in the DW, even though I have a lot of experience of Photoshop and Illustrator. I first started slice graphic in PS and export the HTML, but after looking at the interpretation of the browser and referring to these forums here, I learned it's a nightmare and not something I have to do.

    So, when I read a lot of guides and forum messages and watched a bunch of tutorials on Adobe TV. I think I'm more in understanding (once I separated CSS and HTML in my mind things became more easy), but I'm still a novice.

    Right now, I'm trying to layout our pages and avoid the tables. This seems to be a simple gets pretty combination of images in the text that I can get in shape, the problem I have and keep it in place. Now I'm drawing APDivs and dropping in what I want. However, it becomes a problem when you test the site in browsers - my space body, header, and footer will move when I resize it, but all the content of these div tags still in place. That is should do with the tag position: absolute, but when I remove it, it changes where my content is intended to be on my page. Here are a few screens to help:

    help3.jpghelp4.jpg

    At this point, I've read about positioning and absolute page available here:

    http://www.apptools.com/examples/pagelayout101.php

    So, I thought I'd do what has been proposed in this tutorial - try using the static positioning or play with pads of margin to get the content "sink" with the rest of the page if the user has resized the window. When I tried to use the "position: static" on this subject, so what she did with the page content stream as I predicted, he wouldn't let me move to where I wanted it to be. So, I tried using the page margins, as the proposed help page. I gave, the bar margin 'left' first and got this, which seemed right:

    help5.jpg

    Unfortunately, when I asked the "top margin" if he gets in, we want it to, disaster:

    help6.jpg

    To me, it seems that it is the application of the upper margin of the lower part of the header, instead of the top of the page. When I saw in the browsers, it seems he would work in the case.

    Here is my current code with what looks like my screen of this last one:

  • How to Center a div positioned absolute sensitive

    Hello

    I can't Center a div that I have position: absolute on. The width of the element, because it takes account of the 75% of margin auto is: 0; does not work. I do not know the width of the element container, the one with the position: relative to this subject. Its "bootstrap" reactive col-md-12 :) Thank you

    I tried and it doesn't work:

    {#HomeBoxWrapper}

    Width: 75%;

    position: absolute;

    bottom: 60px banner;

    Left: auto;

    right: auto;

    z-index: 10;

    }

    And it does not work

    {#HomeBoxWrapper}

    Width: 75%;

    position: absolute;

    bottom: 60px banner;

    margin-left: auto;

    margin-right: auto;

    z-index: 10;

    }

    I thought about it. My div occupies 75% of the width of the viewport. There is 25% of the width of viewport remaining. So 25/2 = 12.5. For me to get 12.5% of the empty on each side of my div display window, I need the value left or right to 12.5%. Not both. I went with the right. Worked perfectly.

    {#HomeBoxWrapper}

    Width: 75%;

    position: absolute;

    bottom: 60px banner;

    Right:12.5%;

    z-index: 10;

    }

  • Sticky feet do not stick down on the Web page by using a template!

    I created a template in muse to use for a blog on the website of our company. He was perfectly fine until today of loading (or at least I first noticed today). The footer does not stick to the bottom of the page, instead, it remains in the original location behind the content of the blog.

    Is the Web/blog site where the question is: http://www.couparconsulting.com/blog

    How can I fix it?

    Another issue is that many of these images on the blog suddenly disappeared... don't know when or how it happened, but that the problem is not as critical as the foot issue.

    Hello couparconsulting,

    I'm not really a user of Muse, but if you can get in your code, I want to change.

    http://jsfiddle.NET/chaddidthis/JbKS3/

    Basically you need to encapsulate the copyright from the footer and social footer links in a single div, I called .footer-wrapper. While giving a class of: clear: both;

    Who will get your footer to the bottom, but there are margins, push it downwards, so the other ID's should have their margin-top edited 41px that they rest with copyright.

    Test it first on a test page, so if it doesn't work you get no worse.

    Again, I'm sorry I'm not a guy from muse, but if you can just make these small changes in your code, you should be good.

    It will be useful,

    Chad Smith

  • How to position my tag div with top, bottom, left and right attributes?

    So I have my background image and then I want only the sides to display so I put my div tag in the Center and does it extend to the edges of the top and bottom of the page, then theres a little bit of the background image on the sides of the white div. Than perfect, but when I focus I had to remove the position attribute. Now, I can not use the up, down, left and right attributes.

    OLD CODE WITHOUT A CENTER:

    {#whitediv}

    position: absolute;

    Top: 0px;

    Width: 930px;

    height: 100%;

    z-index: 1;

    background-color: #FFF;

    }

    NEW CODE WITH CENTER POSITION BUT CANT IT:

    {#whitediv}

    position:;

    Top: 0px;

    margin: 0px auto;

    Width: 930px;

    height: 100%;

    z-index: 1;

    background-color: #FFF;

    }

    To Center elements with CSS, you need 4 basic things.

    1. A document type is valid,
    2. width in pixels, % or ems, container
    3. a margin left and right of the automobile,
    4. default positioning (static or not specified).

    For example, the following page has a centered division.

    http://ALT-Web.com/test/resizable-BG.shtml

    The background image is applied to the CSS body selector.

    / * DIV CENTERED * /.

    {#page online purchase

    Width: 70%;
    margin: 5th auto;
    Padding: 3em;
    background: rgba (0,0,0, 0.70);
    color: #FFF;
    }

  • CSS; position: absolute in IE

    Hello

    I experience some display problems with IE. Everything works perfectly on FF and Safari, but nothing is good on IE.

    I think the problem comes from the "position: absolute" in my CSS. I read on different forum that IE cannot correctly read the absolute position.

    All the solutions for that?

    (1) build your HTML content so that it flows naturally from the top to the bottom of the page.

    (2) use the default CSS positioning (which is not at all positioning).

    (3) align items on your page using CSS properties:

    margin: top | good | bottom | left;

    float: left or right

    padding: top | good | bottom | on the left,

    text-align: left, Center, or right.

  • How to code in DW w/o the use of tags to position: absolute?

    I noticed that a lot of research shows that Dreamweavers Div tags position: absolute in CSS is absolute trash and demolishes havoc in browsers. Is there a way to get around this? If so how can I go about creating my Web page in Dreamweaver without the help of this method? Thank you

    Dreamweaver always puts this style in when you draw tags div etc.

    Nope.  You can't draw a div tag  But you can draw a 'layer' (apDiv).  So stop doing that.  But DW is just do what you tell him.

    I've placed a template in dreamweaver and it was absolute positioning.

    Where do you have the model.  Garbage in, you know?

    all of this has to do with positioning that is bugging me.

    Yes - then stop using the positioning, and read the article I suggested - as these:

    thx for all answers.

    Hello

    I've already answered the similar question here in the forum in this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=18703

    In any case, the Toshiba Virtual sound utility has been pre-installed on this laptop. Am I wrong?
    This utility controls certain audio functions.
    There you can change and set the audio settings for example: level trueBass.
    I think you should open this utility and if you n t know the simple options to use the help of this utility. (You have to press F1 to launch the help document)

    PS: If you have connected the laptop to stereo and use the stereo settings you should try to disable the virtual sound utility on the laptop.

  • Try to copy a newspaper online article, but it will not stick to a word document.

    I'm trying to copy a newspaper online article, but it will not stick to a word document.  Have done this for years without problem. Windows want to now restore to an earlier date and send an error report.  I use Windows XP

    The problem is that the NTN online newspaper is displayed as a Flash video, which essentially cannot be copied and pasted.  Because you said that you have been copying things over the years, I guess RTN has recently changed how they provide the journal online.

    You have two options.

    1. you can print the pages in which you are interested and keep in a file or loose-leaf notebook.  Use the 'print' in the journal view, not your browser file > print menu or the browser print icon.

    2. download and install free CutePDF Writer and the free converter of GPL Ghostscript of CutePDF.  It's probably better log on as a user with "computer administrator" privileges to proceed with the installation.  Check the FAQ.

    After installing CutePDF Writer, whenever you print something, will be one of the choices for the printer to use CutePDF Writer.

    Then, print the pages of the newspaper online RTN 1 above, but use CutePDF Writer rather than your 'real' printer  A dialog box opens asking you to designate a file name and a location where the result will be stored.  After a while, you will have a PDF of your selected pages (rather than a Word document).

    Most people have already installed the Adobe Reader app for free.  If you do not, you can get it here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/ don't forget to UNCHECK the box which installs McAfee Security Plus.  Or, if you want a smaller, faster, less intrusive pdf reader, Foxit Readerfree software.
