  You can create fusions of field fields existing on another object.  If you want to create a fusion of field, you must either would also create these fields on the contact record or a custom object.  On your form, include a processing step that updates the registration of contact or the LCO (depending on which route you choose).

• glitching form fields

  I have problems with two form fields.

  1. the signatory name field. It is unbearable and doesn't seem to be either auto-fill for this particular customer.

  2. a large text box does not allow my client to fill with multiple lines. It creates just huge text. It makes no sense at all. How can I give them some space to write their mailing address?

  This of course creates the question if I can cancel this contract and redo the fields in the form, I lost one of my shipments allowed for the month. Certainly not preferable because it is enforcement difficulties which may result in a need to return. Very disappointing as I can't speak with ANYONE at Adobe, when the program misbehaves.

  I can help you with your questions here:

  1 signatory name should be generated automatically AFTER your customer signs. It will not be able to see his name being generated automatically. But once he signs the document, you will see her name being filled in the agreement signed automatically.

  2. There is an option to enable multi data entry line if you double-click the text field on the Create page. It looks like this:

  I am new to acrobat and impossible to find a starting point for what I want to accomplish.  I have a directory with 1000's single-page PDF files (file names are data_0001.pdf, data_0002.pdf, etc.).

  For each single page pdf, I want to integrate a form with a list of radio button containing several options and a comment text box.

  Every page needs a single form ID that may be associated with the original PDF, one page.

  I want to merge all the single page with format pdf files embedded in a single multiple page pdf file.

  A user views the pdf file of several page and selects the option button and adds comments on each page and saves the pdf file.

  I would then like to export a spreadsheet file or csv of three columns with columns from the saved pdf file

  'the original pdf file name' 'result of the list of the radio button' 'zone comment text '.

  I need to make at least 100 times, so that each step must be scripted.

  Can someone provide a link to what anyone remotely close to the workflow steps needed to achieve this with acrobat.

  You can use a batch process to add form fields to each PDF. You should do field for each unique page names, so that when you combine individual pages in a single PDF file, the form will behave properly. You can base the field names in each PDF file on the name of the original file to achieve this. To add field with a script in a batch sequence, use the JavaScript doc.addField method: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.435.html

  You can then combine the single page PDF files with fields of form in a single PDF file, or by using an external script (for example, VBScript) or a script in Acrobat, but you would need the list of files to be combined, especially if you care about the order of the pages. Acrobat also has the function of "file > combine > merge files into a single PDF", but I can't say that it will work to combine that several shapes at once, so you'll just have to see.

  Regarding the export of data, this may also be film script. I would say that the script can create the data file that is added to the document as an attached file (data object), which can then be extracted. Creating a tab separated text file is simpler that ensuring a properly built CSV, that's what I'd be inclined to do. A user is not able to enter a tab character into a form field, so you shouldn't have a problem with that. • Automatic scrolling of text possible in combination with the text form field

  We would like to know if it is possible to align the text automatically with a form field that can contain different amounts of characters.

  For example:

  We have a form with a text field for currency at the end of a paragraph of text. The period to mark the end of the sentence should always be printed just behind the currency field. For now, the comma character has a fixed place, just outside the scope of the currency field. It doesn't look good when the currency field contains only 2 characters (due to the white space).

  Is there a solution to this problem?

  It is only possible if the time text is also part of a text field, preferably the same one. You can use a format or script validation to automatically add this custom text to text from the user, assuming that it is a fixed value or you can know in advance. If it is a value entered by the user, then it becomes almost impossible to do it gently.

• State form field to display the drop-down list of all States

  My client has an interest in having the STATE form field in the withdrawal form store a string to a field conversion menu drop-down displays the list of States. He only sells to the United States, so there are 50 lists. I don't think it's necessary, but is it possible?

  As long as her select field name is the same as it is for the text field (and just good to do the same thing for ID) then you can change it.

  Options whose value. Then come by in admin.

  Note that if the customer ships internationally is not a viable edition.

• Required form fields

  Anyone has any type of work around that.  We do not use the Eloqua model and it seems that it is the only way to have required fileds on one form other that write javascript code yourself... any ideas or help would be apprecaited...

  Hi Paul, I have a half-turn of the solution to avoid writing javascript for validation (not sure one can as), just try this

  1. Create a dummy form in Eloqua
  2. Click on the new master standard
  3. Add the new form field
  4. Necessitate in additional proerties
  5. Save as draft
  6. Under Actions, select the HTML view
  7. Copy the Validation code and paste it into your form.

  I know it is quite messy but can avoid writing the script and can be sure that this code/script will be accurate.

  I'm trying to use 1 generic form on all landing pages we create for Webinar sign.  in order for me to pass the correct form by webinar data via the form of treatment to the module of the event concerned, I need to have a hidden field that contains the identifier of unique landing page.  What would it be?  If that's the name of the destination page, then what is the real call tag and how that I insert in the hidden field?

  Quick question - is the landing page for each webinar on a canvas of separate campaign? If so, you can use the URL that contains the elqcampaignid to delimit the module in which Webinar to send it to. You simply need to add as a hidden field on the form, and then add the code to extract the value of the URL.   If they are not on separate canvases, you can use the same method as above, but it would just come with your own query string parameter to add to the url. Example: http://www.url.com?webinar=A

  In the example above, you just have to then a hidden form field "webinar" and update the code to reflect this hidden field. The key he ensure that's connecting to these landing pages then have this added query string.

  I recently got help on the forums and was able to write javascript to change the form fill and border based on an entry of individuals (thanks!).  I am now to experience the problems that I continue to work on this document.  I drew a picture that illustrates 3 different results, its located above.  To explain what I need, here is how the form is supposed to work:

  1. a user enters the State of equipment on page 2, I make sure that only AAA, BBB, CCC or s/o became acceptable.  Each value changes the field of form as shown above and n/d is no change on the ground at all.

  2. based on the user to page 2 input, I'm trying to get a form field only read to a "general status" page to change the color and change its value based on these entries.

  The three columns above show the 3 possible outcomes of the general State of page 1, that is to say:

  1: date of AAA [BACKSPACE] page 2 Date1 field. (all user entries are AAA (n/a which is not taken into account))

  2: date of BBB [BACKSPACE] page 2 Date1 field. (user input contained one or more of the values BBB or CCC)

  3: date of CCC [BACKSPACE] page 2 Date1 field. (all user input were CCC)

  I do this train to work and don't have adobe Adobe Acrobat XI worm: 11.0.13 at home.  Thanks for the help and if my description or photo is confusing, let me know and I can try to explain it differently.  Each column is a document, the document possible self doesn't have a 3 columns.

  Let's see if I understand:

  1. the user enters 'AAA', and the color of the background/outline field turns green.

  2. the user enters "BBB", and the color of the background/outline field turn yellow.

  3. the user enters "CCC", and the color of the background/outline field turns red.

  4. the user enters "S/o", and the default color (it looks like teal) will be used

  4. If all the entries on page 2 are of the same color or the value "N/a", this color will be used for the field page 1

  5. If all the entries on page 2 are not the same color or the 'N/a', 'yellow' color value will be used for the field page 1

  Describes the behavior of the form?

  I would use a document level function to manage both the validation of the seizure and the choice of colors. The first part of the function (validation) is quite simple. The second part (setting the current color of field) is something that you already know how to do it. The third part, determine the color of a field of the general State is a little more complicated. I would like to look at all the fields that are not current on the ground - loop - (because you can just make a call to Doc.getField ()), then take the current information in the field of the event object in the validation script and determine what should be the status of the output (and then set the color accordingly).

  Something like this should work:

• How can you change the name of the custom form fields?

  I made a form that required me to add a few custom fields.  When the form sends an email, custom fields appear as "Custom".  I need them to say what is the form field.  Can we achieve this by Muse?

  I tried to change the name of the script in DreamWeaver, but it caused the form to fail.

  I made a form for one of my colleagues in InDesign/Acrobat.  Whenever she completes the form in Acrobat, and sends it to a colleague, the forms appear in white on mobile phones.  Is there a fix or some kind of option I check when I gave her the form. I was curious to know if the forms are not compatible with mobile phones.  They seem to work when you check them from a computer.

  Staff just need to view the form and does not interact with the form fields, it can flatten the fields of the form before sending it to his colleague. When the fields are flattened, their appearances are converted to ordinary page content, which means that the 'fields' and more displays any PDF reader. • A web site can generate PDFS filled by downloading a PDF file with empty form fields?

  In other words, if I provide my web developer with a standard form PDF file that is ready to be filled, can code the site to "fill" the form fields with the data generated by a release of the database?

  Here's the goal: I need to have nice aesthetically "certificates" generated by the web site for the print client. The design is approved, but the customer does not want to have to fill them all individually. We have the data, and I'd love to be able to 'plug in' on individual PDF files. The question is, can 'take' the data that a user in Acrobat Pro/Reader/DC of PDF software? A web site "tool" can be coded to fill the fields of the PDF format and save a printable file?

  Keep in mind, I'm a designer, so I probably don't have a response technical, more just one "Yes, you can do this using the...» "or a 'of course not, silly designer guy, it would be a huge security risk' or whatever, so that I can know whether or not to have my web devs continue this as a solution.

  Yes, it is possible, but not with Acrobat, which cannot be used on a server.

  There are other tools that can do it, even if the side server.

• Manually convert a text field to a form field in Acrobat Pro XI

  I have an existing PDF that must have a number of existing text converted into fields of form fields (e.g., name, date, etc.).  What is the best way to do this without deletion and recreation of each element?  Recognition of the form fields Acrobat (automatic detection) is not picking them up.

• Blank form fields

  Have spent days by completing a grant application 22 page on my powerbook to partners. Ive opened, closed, he saved several times without problem. Went to send to my phone/ipad so I could discuss/review with colleagues. Send it but when I open it, days, I spent the filled form fields, are all white.  It's just an empty application. Not a single response in there. I tried to re - register under a different name in a different folder and sending. Same thing. I need to share this document as soon as possible! What is going on. Never had this happen before. Even through echo-sign, the captain shows the first page correctly, then I hit the download, and when it opens, only blank form fields.

  Did you use Acrobat or Reader to fill out and save the form, or have you used the app on Mac? This PDF reader that you use on iOS? The default PDF on iOS Viewer does not support forms at all, so you should be sure to use Adobe Reader or something capable as Expert PDF.
