Format and clean VISTA install...

Is there an easy way to reformat and recover the storage used by the RESTORE partition on my new laptop?

You have my XPS410 year last February and the first thing I did was format the HD and reinstall VISTA.

Have now come INSPIRION 1725.  Intention to make even if it runs without problem for 21 days.

I have difficulties that reclaim rememer restoring.  Since I do not understand why someone would want to restore their computer to the bloatware that it comes with I want back on my Inspirion 1725.

A DELL representative who actually spoke English with me through it last year.  But I forgot how.

Is there an easy way to reformat and lose the RECOVERY partition on my new laptop?

The fact is that both applications are part of the recovery image, and these applications are available if you plant only settings. They cannot be downloaded and installed as well.

If you want to have them again, you must install OS using Toshiba DVD recovery.

  • SDHC card do not work on the Satellite A200-1J0 with a clean Vista install

    Greetings,

When I bought this laptop he had 32-bit Vista preinstalled and as usual some Toshiba drivers and software. As I remember there wasn't that no problem with no built in memory card reader, he read regular SD and SDHC cards.

One day I had to reinstall the operating system (without using the recovery disc) and I downloaded the drivers for my laptop's official website, install and the card reader now is not able to read SDHC cards. Is it me?

That's what I installed for the reader:

-Toshiba Value Added Package, where is TOSHIBA Flash Cards inside
    -Flashmedia driver
    Utilities - SD

I just want to underline that there is no problem with reading mmc or normal sd cards.
My sdhc card is 100% works correctly with other card readers.
Another sdhc card I have does not work, it's just that I put anything inside the player.

    Just nothing happens.
Is there something else that I missed, and it is the reason for my problem?

No fix for Vista or something like that?

    Hello

You the problem with SD cards are certainly related to the software I think that your drivers/utilities are installed isn't properly (in order) or on Vista may miss something.

    Maybe you don t know what important thing;
It is very important to install the driver (no matter that drivers;) XP or Vista) in the right order.
For most an installation instruction is placed on the page of the European driver Toshiba, which contains the essential installation order.

As I m not wrong not the A200-1J0 belongs to the series PSAE6E and you must choose this series first to get all the compatible drivers for you series.

    By the way;

The Flash Media Driver is a bridge Media Slot driver. This slot allows you to insert an SD card, Memory Stick (Pro) or xD picture cards.
The SD utilities contains utility Format SD Memory Card and other SD functions like utility of SD memory.

These three applications are very important to use SD cards.

  • Copy of the user folders to clean Vista install

I did a clean install of Vista on a new 500 GB drive and download updates 100plus, but now I need to copy it to my user (data and user settings) files to the new drive. I've connected the old disk with a shell of external drive to the laptop via the USB port and can see the data, but I remember that it cannot be simply copied on because there are special folders (for example, images).

    How should I proceed?

I tried to use Windows Easy Transfer, but he seemed to only move from one computer to another, not original hard drive to the new hard drive on a computer.

  • Try to format and do a clean install of Windows Vista on an old my computer HARD drive at home to be placed in a new Tower. The installation does not start.

Try to format and do a clean install of Vitsa on an old my computer HARD drive at home to be placed in a new Tower. DVD starts up fine and then goes into an endless loop of the repair system that continues to check the c: / drive to find errors. Why is the installation does not start? I know that the folder c: / drive has Vista OS on it from my old compuetr. I want to wipe off immediately and start cleaning up.

original title: try to install clean vista

You must set your BIOS to start on the DVD from the beginning to the top.

You have a good DVD of Vista (OEM/upgrade or full version) and NOT only a recovery disk provided by the manufacturer of the PC (or you burn you).

For a DVD upgrade, follow the method here and make sure you format your HARD drive thanks to the tools of "advanced install" on the DVD.

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/68767-clean-install-upgrade-Vista.html

If you have a full version of Vista rather than a version upgrade then just do the first part of the above procedure.

you do. Just boot from the CD and follow the prompts for a

  • Windows XP is installed on C: / and Windows Vista on E:. Is it safe to delete the partition of Windows XP? I'll still be able to boot Windows Vista?

    I have a 500 GB sata HDD and it is partitioned into 4 volume (C: E: - 97 GB, d - 122 GB, GB-122, F: - 123 Go). my windows xp is installed in the C drive
and I recently install windows vista on the E drive.

is - it safe format the c drive where windows xp is installed?

If I format it will damage my system?

    original title: Dual Boot Format

    Hello

It is not safe to remove Windows XP from drive C. If an earlier version of the Windows operating system is installed in a dual-boot with Windows Vista or Windows 7 configuration, the Windows Boot Manager program transfers control to the Ntldr program for the earlier version of the Windows operating system.

If you remove Windows XP, you may not be able to start Windows Vista as well.

    Refer to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919529

The ideal way is to reinstall Windows Vista.

Note: Be sure to back up data before formatting the hard disk.

  • Problem with windows update and get Vista service Pack2 installed

I'm running Windows Vista Home premium with service pack 1 installed. I have 2.00 GB of memory and running a 32-bit operating system

When I open some websites it comes immediately closes and you said "Internet explorer cannot open this site" then the cottage site and says '' abandoned operation. ''

So I thought I would upgrade my system. Whenever I have shut down my computer it asks to install updates - I have let that happen, it always lists the same updates and even though it shows that they have been correctly installed. Next time I'll look in the list of updates - the same updates appear. When I try to update to Internet explorer 6 to 8 or 9 it says I need service pack 2. When I try to install service pack 2, I thought after I have started to install pack 2, service pack 1 must be installed. When I download and try to install service pack 1, it indicates that service pack 1 is already installed.

Any ideas on how to get my internet explore updated would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    I have version 6.0 (build 6001: Service Pack 1)

    My internet Explorer is:

    Version 7.0.6001.18000

    Thanks for your help.

When downloding a new application, applet, or executable file or program msi, I always choose to SAVE them to the DESKTOP, then I make a folder and copy the downloaded file to the new folder when the program is fully downloaded, I then run my hand registered antivirus program to ensure that it is virus-free. (right click, then choose scan with "antivirus program").

Once I know it's clean and stored safely, I disconnect from the internet, disable my antivirus program, & close all processes not essential in the Task Manager.

Then go to the folder "New folder" and double-click the new application to install it without interference.

Once it is installed, restart your computer to start your antivirus program and already completed process automatically and then if it needs to access the INet activation or registration, it can do so safely.

It a new application and ask you if that's OK, you know is very well since you just installed it will say your firewall.

I've never had a problem with failed facilities or other interference from program using this simple step-by-step process.

Methods to download the latest service pack (VISTA SP2)

Method 1: Turn on automatic updates (recommended for most users)

Method 2: Check the updates on Windows Update (same method 1 but not automatic)

Method 3: obtain the latest Windows Vista from Microsoft Download Center (full file) service pack http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/935791/#Method3 >

(Good to use if the computer on which you want to install the service pack is not connected to the Internet)

Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/dd262148.aspx> and look right.

Things to know about SP2 and FAQs.

Examine them carefully and see if it meets most or all of your questions.

You will also notice the site available for full download download which can be used instead of the Windows Update. service

As you can see Vista SP2 contains all updates released since SP1, download via AU (automatic updates) you get only what you need, by downloading the full file all you and you have it if you like for later if you need IT.

For Service Packs, I prefer to download the entire file and then install offline after you have prepared the system first.

  • Ultimate from Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium or professional clean to install the new SSD

I put my turn to level. It came with Vista Ultimate. I bought an SSD that will become my c drive. I want to do a clean installation in each Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional 64 bit on this player.  My drive/d has a backup of the Vista operating system. My drive is resumed. Do I have to buy a new copy of version single charge? If so, how will I know the source of what I buy sells an authentic copy or download? If not, what are the steps I need to take to upgrade? There is a number on the back of the workstation that would allow me to do it with the new drive installed? I don't want to have non-essential files on the SSD.

Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.

    Full version (retail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-Does not require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

    -Expensive

    Upgrade version (detail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

-Expensive, but less expensive full version

    OEM System Builder version:

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

There is nothing wrong to use it too, especially that all future versions of Windows will be full versions.

    http://www.Amazon.com/Microsoft-Windows-7-8-software/b?ie=UTF8&node=1286119011

If you choose to buy the upgraded version:

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

usually it is booting by pressing the C key to start from the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.

or start by pressing the Option key to get a list of the bootable devices that you can choose from.

See <Startup for Mac - Apple Support combinations>

NOTE: This does not imply that you run your Mac mini Snow Leopard.  I guess that your wording she used to run Snow Leopard, and that your Mac mini still has a DVD/CD player are good signs.
