• Publish on HTML5: weird span out of tab stops

  FM2015 using publish on reactive HTML5: I am creating the output that is programming code, spaces and characters must therefore fixed-width. Any suggestions on the best way to do it?

  I created a simple test FM doc that contains a fixed text that is supposed to be programming code. GGX

  

  I created a paragraph format named "source Code" and applied to the programming of text. It uses a monospace font "Consolas" tab stop and chaque.5 thumb. Note the tab stops used in the source code for indentation.

  In the publishing settings, I traced the paragraph format "source Code" to the HTML tag "PRE".

  

  When I publish to HTML, indentation is messed up:

  Why is that in there? Why should I use inline style to substitute for the family of fonts and size? How the tabs supposed to be handled in the output of the edition?

  Ideally it would simply omit the redundant span and released a number of white spaces using the . Is there a way to control this?

  Which also contains the unwanted scope as well as style unwanted inline for the font family. Why is that it does not have the font family in the FM_SourceCode CSS class?

  Thanks for reporting this.

  I think you have essentially two questions:

  1. why the period corresponding to several?

  HTML doesn't have a tab stop equivalent characters, can be achieved either through hard space or use margin instead, space FM currently use to replace tabs in the document of the FM. Even though we have plans to improve something that can be controlled by CSS. Another way might be that we can simply use styles/formats with margin.

  2. why font family is coming in the output as inline style?

  In the case of replacements of format, FM generate as a style inline in output to get design look. If you remove substitutions of document FM format, it will go away.

• How to change margins in PDF format?

  Thanks in advance for your help. I'm evaluating Professional 8.0 on my pc (XP SP2 w / 3.5 GB of RAM and 2.5 GHZ CPU). I want to see if the professional can change the margins of the pdf files I get from various places, but I'm not finding anything in the documentation or via google. This should be an easy thing to do, as in MS Word you go to "Layout" and change the margins. I can't find this feature in Acrobat 8.0. Can someone tell me please how to change the margins? The document in its configuration current waste paper and leaves a lot of him in white when it can be printed on. Trying to be a conscientious worker by not wasting paper and Acrobat is not cooperating with me.

  Erik,
  Others have (I hope) he made it clear to you that Acrobat is not a word processor or a documents page layout program. (as said by Geo) is a document display program. If you have access to the source file of which is from the PDF file, and then change the margins in this file.

  If no source, then - at the risk of stating the obvious - if you try to save paper, is police large enough document that you can print two pages (cropped out) of your document per physical page? It is an option for many printers. In addition, two-sided printing. Just look at the properties of your printer - I hope you find one or two of these options.

• How to set paragraph margins in a document

  I would like to define paragraph L & R margins in a word processing document, but I find only the margins of the Document in the Inspector.  If I try and create a new section for paragraphs with new margins, a page break is created.

  Help pages 'Definition place outside' talking about click the layout button.  I can't find a page layout button.

  Paragraph margins are controlled by the sovereign or the settings in the sidebar. Drag the markers to end on the rule. They cannot go outside the margins of the Document and apply to the paragraphs, not pages.

  In Pages ' 09 you can use the set break to set INSET, including the top and bottom, over large areas within pages and on multiple pages.

• Installed Enigmail. Some "writing". The toolbar (fonts, change color, margins etc is missing? How to get the toolbar?

  Before installing Enigmail, there was the bar containing the fonts (increase or decrease) change of color, margins (left, Center, right) tool etc..
  In the menu by selecting "special characters", etc. was present. Now, nothing! No way to select menus toolbar with these elements.
  A real disappointment! Any help to restore the toolbar of composition would be greatly appreciated.

• Research and open web pages in a blue underlined wrong format

  I have a new computer with windows 10 and added firefox as my browser. I tried to change the way in which a new page will open and you've got something screwed up. I refreshed firefox, uninstalled and reinstalled and even changed the subject: config failure on those who said user reset. Now when I pick up and sometimes when I type a new address in the new page (and all the search pages) open in a different format - this is the left margin all with lots of underlined blue writing and I can't tell where I'm going. I went back to IE which I hate and you really want to use firefox, but have to deal with that. Can you help me please?
  Just noticed that when I click on tools and then add ons format is not the same as before - a lot of blue writing and especially since everything is on the left margin. If I do a Yahoo search, it says failed to secure connection - swagbucks search does not load anything.
  I can't add troubleshooting information because I am doing this in Internet Explorer. Cannot get there in Firefox.

  Hi, in case, you're an avast user, please try to disable https scanning in avast:

  1. Open the Avast dashboard on an affected system.
  2. Select settings in the left side menu.
  3. Adopt a Protection Active.
  4. Click on customize next to the Web Shield.
  5. Uncheck the option "Enable HTTPS analysis", and then click ok.

• How can I change the formats for left and right pages?

  First timer here in the Apple community so forgive my mistakes.

  Works with Apple Pages 5.6.1 on a MacBook Air, try to format a book for automatic printing. I want to do different for left and right pages headers and footers, and margins so that, for example, the page numbers appear outside of the page rather than all the beings in the lower right.

  Is it possible? I googled around and it seems page was once able to do, but the feature was removed thereafter. I have reviewed in the Document and Format menus and sought help, but no joy so far.

  Any help much appreciated.

  Not possible on Pages 5.6.1 which is absent from the reams of features.

  I have purposely left for info OS 'unknown', because I have this same question if I use my Mac, my Windows machines, or simply walk over to the machine and copy something.

  The minimum margins announced for this printer are something like 1/8 "without going without borders.  No matter what I print, I get approximately 5/8 "high and low and 1/2" on the sides.  I have this same problem when copying, that is simply built into the machine - no computer involved.  If I try to copy both side on a single sheet of double-sided sheets, it crops out of the margins to adapt to these ridiculously high default settings.

  I searched through the forums and found many others have this problem.  The son always look like this:

  A: go to the tab 'Advanced' in the printer driver, then select "Minimize margins".

  Q: How do I do that?  I can't find this option anywhere...

  To try to solve this problem, HP went up to sell me a replacement printer reduced at a reduced price, even if mine was out of warranty. Their thinking was that I had a defective hardware. Unfortunately, new printer = identical questions.
  
  In the end, they admitted that margin problems are directly related to the duplex unit. Their duplexer requires, apparently, a LOT of paper to hang on to MUCH - in my opinion, possibly a lot and a half. I studied other brands and found that most of them have this same problem.

  I finally found that printer large format of brother did a duplexer that keeps the small margin when you work 2 faces. So, I own one of these now - works great.
  
  I have been a fervent and loyal HP - ite for literally decades. It saddens me that they let slip until the brother surpassed them - but that's what I found. I hope that HP will turn around and stop to accept half-solutions such as 'negotiable' - but in the meantime, the only way to solve my problem was to jump brands...
