  net.rim.device.api.system.Display.getWidth () and getHeight() are the recommended way to do it now.

  Note that the view class requires the signature - when I needed this information and wanted to quickly test something at home, I used the obsolete (but not requiring not signature) graphics... methods and then replaced by display... methods to work.

• Icon does not appear on the apk or Cordova class not found

  I can't get the build.phonegap.com site to build my Android apk and use the icons specified in my file config.xml. I tried several paths for the default icon and none of them does not seem to work. On several occasions, I have confirmed that each path is valid in all elements defined < icon >. I tried to use ConfiGAP to generate my config.xml but it produces a malformed .xml file, so I no longer use it.

  I followed Cordova documentation regarding to the customization of the icons found here: Customize app icons - Cordova Apache , but the site doesn't seem to work when you use these conventions. (?)

  The weird part is that, when I build the app using the CLI interface on my local machine, the icon appears correctly. "The problem there is that the application does not run properly and get an error" [ERROR] Cordova initialization error: class not found. So it seems that my config.xml file is correct somehow locally but does not when used by the site build.phonegap.com.

  Nevertheless, something is not quite right, and what I've read, the issue of the icon and the specific error that I get when the icon is OK are somehow related to something to go wrong in the config.xml file

  What I am doing wrong? Advice/thoughts/ridiculous/instructions on how I missed something obvious/etc would be appreciated.

  Here are a few comments:

  1. you create to the BMP version 3.7.0.  This application will not be approved by Google.

  Use the cli version - 6.3.0

  2. remove the element feature of your config. It is obsolete.

  3. do not use the old, obsolete bmp plugins. Instead, use the latest versions of the plugins of the NPM. Be aware that they are named differently, usually cordova-plugin-xxxxx

  4. you have not any spill for Android. Don't forget to include mdpi - dimensions xxxhdpi

  5. you need the dimensions large projections of iOS. See the docs for Apple iOS on "images of launch.

  6. you have specified for landscape and portrait. Yet, you have only a landscape splashscreen iOS. Add all the others.

  And for your zip file: can you confirm that you have config.xml and index.html in the root directory of the zip?

  When I use the AdfConnectionFacade class to access the University Complutense of MADRID "Main connection" thanks to connections.xml (following these instructions), the connection test always fails. I have deployed the app to a managed to webcenter stand-alone server as well. The code is as follows:

  I can surely use a db based property or a text file to find the coordinates of connection socket Complutense University of MADRID, but, in this way, I think it will be more configurable from the Console of EM.

  Yet, can someone enlighten me on which is the standard approach to access the connection details and also, how to set up the connection details in the EM console, because I saw no connection of type "Content Server" in the list.

  I don't know if RIDC façade class is the right path to follow because of the entry of the next development team:

  The RIDC based (oracle.stellent.ridc.convenience.adf.connection.RidcConnection) connection seems to be associated with the obsolete RIDC connection management code that was created previously,http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e10807/c23_ridc.htm#sthref1487

  This older technology did not meet code of connection appropriate ADF patterns and does not support MDS for customizations after deployment.

  The client should try to avoid using this older connection RIDC management framework code.

  I work in the skeleton of an enterprisse application in javafx. Generally (in the past), I used swing with InternalFrames MDI form. Search in the web site on how can he do this, I found that the concept of the MDI form is obsolete, is recommended to use a tabpanel structure. I started to develop the application with this concept, but I have a question.

  In the early days of my development career, I learned that 'Vectors' & 'hashing' SHOULD be used when programming of applications that those that can be accessed simultaneously by multiple users. We use EJB components and we always use vectors and hash tables when returning collections of objects of EJB methods, inside business methods and inside servlets. Most of my elders advised me not to use all the other collections, leaving a chance to provoke conflict and interference of information. I hesitated to accept this, but I just did what they asked, because I didn't want to take this responsibility.
  
  But now I see that Vector and Hashtable are supposed to be obsolete collections and should probably not be used in new development. So now, I have a question about these.
  
  1. why they were ranked as the ancients?
  2. What are the alternatives we have to use instead?
  3. should I risk by using other collection objects in an application simultaneously accessible? (information jam, unexpected manipulations on information, etc.).

  WTF is 'interference information '? And what specific conflicts they claim will lead to and how?

  The Collections Framework is out with Java 1.2 in 1998. Its classes are unsynchronized by default, but there are methods to provide a synchronized version of each of them. Your elders don't know what they are talking about.

  But now I see that vector and Hashtable are supposed to be obsolete collections and probably should not be used in the development of new.

  Functionally they still work very well. The reason for preferring the ArrayList and HashMap is that these classes were created as part of Collections from the beginning. Vector and Hashtable was modernized in it. Most people use the most recent classes, and I would personally never use the old categories, unless I had to for reasons of backward compatibility. They still work perfectly well.

  In fact I don't think there's a particular doc just to list the deprecated classes. But if you open the document I mentioned earlier and search for class OAViewObjectException, you will find the following description:

  Deprecated. From 11.5.56 OA framework, this exception is no longer supported. For the exceptions attribute and line, please use OAAttrValException and OARowValException, respectively.

• Problems with Apple in class

  We have a classroom set of successful however iPads Meraki.  We have imported the information class and the teachers of the school of Apple.  Watching iPads I can see that the profile of education has been eliminated from the MDM, but the teacher still cannot start the App class.  Suggestions for troubleshooting?

  Even if we do not Meraki, (we use OS X Profile Manager), we can get the training profiles to load on our iPad pros.  Loads on everything...

  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I've updated to the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, but Firefox has always said that it is obsolete.   Obsolete false warning for Adobe Acrobat Reader is a known problem, but unfortunately there is no way to repair at the moment (we are not the developers on this forum, just guys who want to help users).
