  We are looking for install Oracle Forms 12 c on a box of Microsoft Windows 2012 r2 . When we look at what browsers are certified, I found mixed results.

  Outcome 1:

  When you use the matrix certification from the following link, I see the following browsers being certified.

  When you use the My Oracle Support certification matrix, I see that Safari 8.* being certified for Windows 2012 r2.

  

  But if I look at the matrix certification of the My Oracle Support for Windows 2012 (NOT r2) then I see more than one of the above browsers.

  Which is correct? What browsers are certified in fact on my box of r2 Windows 2012?

  The worksheet is accurate data.  There is a known issue in MOS that is currently under review.

  It is being tested for Windows 10. If successful, the plan is to update Certification matrix with the details.  Exactly when that will be available may not be shared at this time.

  You cannot and should not attempt to use a any forms on Windows 8.1 or newer version at this time.  Yes, this is not supported, but in addition there are known problems with the help of more recent than 7 versions of Windows.  Win8.1 certification testing is underway.  Once completed and final approval, the matrix certification forms/reports will be updated with details.  These details likely will include information on the patches required and/or configurations.  Monitor the forms/States 11.1.2.2 Certification Matrix for the latest information.

• Is it possible to configure jpi_codebase to autodownload JRE for Oracle Forms 11.1.2.2.0 8?

  We are currently working with Oracle Forms and reports 11.1.2.2.0 (64-bit) using Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6 (64-bit) installed with the 64-bit JDK 1.7.0_40. Currently, we configure the YPI parameters (jpi_download_page, jpi_codebase, etc.) to use Java 7. Here is an excerpt from formsweb.cfg of that we deploy to end users to download a 7 Java JRE (Java 7u67 taking as an example):

Even if it works well for JRE 6 and 7 of the JRE, if we were to use the configuration settings following parameter changed to 8 JRE:

  Use the jpi_codebase setting, if we go directly to http://Java.Sun.com/update/1.8.0/jinstall-8u25-Windows-i586.cab to download the JRE, we get an error saying: "File not found."

  We went to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/autodownload-140472.html on the Oracle Web site, which explains the more information on the identification of the URL appropriate for auto-download of JRE, it only shows the URL for JRE 7u71 and 7u71 structure. We used this provision to JRE 8, but we get the "File not found" error when you use the URL directly.

  According to these results, someone happens to know if 8 JRE is currently available (or even supported) for automatic download by using the parameters of YPI in formsweb.cfg? We know that anyone can download the latest Java 7 or 8 Java JRE manually from Oracle, but it would be convenient if he could be auto-téléchargé if it is currently possible. • Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g R2 installation problem reports and forms

  Hi all

  I am installing Oracle Fusion Middleware 11 g R2 forms and States (install version 11.1.2.2.0). It gives me following error by specifying various 'installation locations"(step 5):

  INST-07248: rental house Middleware specified is not a valid location (for the location of the Middleware Oracle home: C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home)

  INST-07248: rental house Weblogic specified is not a valid location (for the location of the Weblogic Server: C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\wlserver)

  I installed WebLogic server worm 12.1.2.0.0 in these places. No idea how to do this setup forms and reports program recognize Weblogic version 12.x OR should I install ver Weblogic 10.3 only to work? (The value in the Weblogic Server location field to step "Install location", by default Weblogic 10.3 worm).

  WebLogic 12 c is not certified with forms & reports 11.1.2.2.

  You need to install the earlier version 10.3 (10.3.6).

  I have installed 11.1.2.1 forms and you want to use the latest Java 7 plugin for IE and Firefox. Can someone tell me what formsweb.cfg parameters should be for Java 7 update 45?

  Before using Java 7 with 11.1.2.1.0 forms, I'll make sure that you use Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS) 10.3.6 because this is the only version supported with Java 7 WLS. For more information, refer to the Oracle Certification Matrix for forms 11.1.2.1.0 to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/oracle-forms-111210certmatrix-1886127.xls.

  If you use WLS 10.3.6, these are the parameters for formsweb.cfg use for Java 7 update 45:

  jpi_download_page =http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/7u45/index.html

  jpi_classid = clsid:CAFEEFAC-0017-0000-0045-ABCDEFFEDCBA

  The settings above will require the end-user to install Java 7 update 45.

  If you only want so that end users to use Java 7 update 45 for a single application, put these settings in your configuration in formsweb.cfg section. If you have any applications use Java 7 update 45, place them in the [default] section of formsweb.cfg. If you place them in the [default] section, do not forget to comment parameters four already present YPI pointing to Java 6 Update 12.

• GR 11, 2 forms config failed.

  I have following platform;
  
  Windows Server 2008 ent (64-bit).
  WebLogic 10.3.6.
  JDK 7u9 (64-bit).
  Forms 11 GR 2.
  
  When I configure Forms/Reports 11 GR 2.
  first step creation area - does not, although the other steps are successful.
  Is without this step, the shapes will run successfully?
  
  I tried several times and non-installing/re-installing Weblogic, JAVA, forms, States,
  but the same error is contnueing.
  
  I also checked that there are no spaces in the PATH variable.
  
  PL guide me, its urgency.

  Try changing your version of the jdk 1.6, since jdk 1.7 is not yet certified with 11 GR 2 as said certification matrix

  also, if you have installed Manager nodes as a service check, it is not started or it will fail during the creation of the field.

  According to the [certification matrix | http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/10gR2/clientsod_forms10gR2.html] Forms 10.1.2.3 is certified for Sun YPI 1.6.0_04 (on IE7/FF2).
  Means that it is also certified for higher versions of YPI, like 1.6.0_07 or 1.6.0_12?

  I think that if he would be certified with + + 1.6.0_07 then there will be an entry in the matrix of certification for that specific version...

  Are you running problems if you use MAF with these new versions of apple?

  The fact that we certify them (because they were not available in the latest version of MAF went production) does not mean that they do not work.

  More than 20 years ago my little business started using the stream of Delrina form to fill in forms on a computer, and then to print data only preprinted multipart forms paper via a matrix printer.  I understand through a series of acquisitions, Delrina was eventually bought by Adobe and form Flow was abandoned in the early 2000s.

  What is the product that I use today to accomplish this same task?

  You can create a PDF form with Acrobat and when you print, choose to print only the form fields. Only the print areas is a feature of Acrobat, not reader.
