• APEX Forum get spammed

  Thought I would try to do to the attention of the admins/mods here.

  There is currently an important flow of spam messages in the APEX forum: Oracle Application Express (APEX)

  Earlier today when I checked (hours), there were 20 + pages of these positions.

  Looking at the first page, it seems to be mainly a few users:

  (1) sometimes, the forum software has problems, or is down for maintenance.

  (2) I've seen, "solved" or "answered" the discussions are never deleted.

  (3) it is not due to slow Internet, but Oracle infrastructure problems (or Jive software, not sure which) that causes this. Moderators will usually remove duplicates if they see them.

  (4) don't know--you have an example of what was the topic? He could be the permutation or announcement on the wrong of your forum.

  Ah ok.  I think I knew what needed to change.  What version of inputing I've changed six point a point a point one to have v6.1.1.1 have the v in front of the numbers and the points seems to count. I think it was the 'hang up' with presentation of the post.

• Don't know where to post this, but I get spammed by VMware forums.

  I answered an ad in VMware workstation forum yesterday, not my first post or reply. Now I get notifications of people posting all sorts of discussions on these forums that I have ever visited. There is no 'stop send me a notification email' option in the mails.

  Maybe the e-mail notifications for the forum of the workstation have been enabled for a reason any. Please visit VMware Workstation to see if ' Stop e-mail notifications "are available in the"Actions"pane

  If this isn't the case and that all notifications are messages to a dedicated user, visit their profile and check there "Stop email notifications".

  Whenever I start thunderbird, spamfighter appears in the toolbar but is shaded out is block, unblock, move, etc.. and this message "you are not currently logged in. However, gmail, that's what I use with thunderbird and I continue to receive new messages.

  Today when checking my messages. There were quite a few messages as SPAM. When I checked those I wanted to mark it as SPAM. The button is disabled, so I can't click on it to send the messages in the SPAM folder. What is happening with this?

• Receiver fake spam on Thunderbird myself.

  Turned on my computer at work and I get an avalanche of spam from my own email every minute Thunderbird checks for new emails. Each message is titled "MyFax message 'unknown' from - 3 page (s)" with at: [email protected]. It doesn't make sense as to why I get these emails if To: address is not my address and From: address is my address. I don't know what else I have avast home edition and wtf.

  I created for a filter to delete messages with when: is [email protected]. I also don't see anything extraordinary in the Task Manager.

  It is likely that someone is just abusing your email address and send to any e-mail in your name. If there is no such thing as the Envoy to address then the mail is not delivered and you get a message Mailor Daemon. This will probably be the first of what happens, you will know.

  What to do:
  Do not respond to one of these emails - delete them.
  Add your own personal signature to your emails and send an email to all your friends saying that someone was abusing your email address. Tell them that real e-mails on your part will always be the special signature, as shown in this e-mail. Apologize for any inconvenience and then always use the signature in your emails.
