Frame adding flash Media Encoder
Using Media Encoder to create a .m2v for use in creation of DVD. Import a QT, and in encoding, it adds a random image that occurs about 32 minutes in the program to the 35 minute. I restarted, with the same result. I checked the original QT image by image and there is no such framework inside flash. The parameters are 2-pass VBR, target Bit rate 4.2 for a file which is long 1 h 43 min. Encoder would be glitching, and are there settings I can adjust to avoid it?
UPDATE:
A new QT from Final Cut (ProRes 422 instead of LT). Which worked well in the SOUL, no flash framework. We used this instead of compressor, because who added other artifacts in this specific case, but not a flash framework as TEA has done.
So, problem solved for now, but a few tips to avoid future problems would be appreciated.

Flash Media Encoder 3.2 installation failed - Code 7 of output
Trying to install Flash Media Encoder on Osx 10.11.2 (i7 El Capitan) 16g ram
Activity log shows:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Since a few days now with no luck and no taken Adobe supported this.

Flash Media Encoder .f4v file .avi after conversion more
This is my first time using Flash Media Encoder.
I converted a 168 MB. Video to AVI. F4V and the file that results is 302 MB.
Is this normal?
What could I have done wrong?
I'm not familiar with the CamStudio compression settings, but it seems to me that AVI bitrate is lower than your rate target for new coding. If this is the case, it makes sense that the new file is bigger.
It would be better to start with a high quality AVI if possible. Do not forget that you are compress again when you transcode the file, so in order to maintain the quality of the source, you have no choice but to encode with very high throughput. If you start with a source of high quality, you can reduce the speed of transmission during the encoding of the flv/f4v

Custom Resotluions within Flash Media Encoder 2.5?
I just spent the Logitech Fusion to the Logitech Quickcam pro 9000 Webcam. The 9000 pro has video recording HD (960 x 720 at least) capabilities. I plugged everything but inside FME 2.5 it lists up to 640 x 480 in resolution drop down. My old webcam (fusion) that is about 3 years old could be 720 x 576. So I was wondering if there are parameters to enable custom resolutions and unlock (for lack of better term) the higher resolutions, this camera is supposed to be able to do. Any help would be appreciated!Here is an answer to my question by an employee of logitech on the QuickcamTeam Web site.
We have done some tests and were able to confirm this behavior. Flash Media Encoder seems to use Video for Windows, a very old and obsolete API. For many reasons resolutions are not supported by VfW and unfortunately that includes resolutions > 640 x 480, which supports the QuickCam Pro 9000. (704 x 576 is not supported by the QuickCam Pro 9000, that's why the Flash Media Encoder do not.) We will check if there is an easy solution for this. If there is, it can be fixed in a later version of the QuickCam.
In the meantime, you can use any application that uses DirectShow. DirectShow exposes correctly all resolutions up to 1600 x 1200.

Poster frame ignored by Media Encoder
Hello
I'm having a bad day with the "Set poster Time' in AE. All my compositions are made to Media Encoder and the poster frame is completely ignored. My client is chewing a new because "it wasn't like that before... you ruined.
If indeed, the player used to display the last frame of the video when the player finishes, but now he plays at the end of the video and when it ceases grabs a frame in the middle of the animation as it displays. I look like an idiot because I can't fix it.
I even tried making it in AE and sending the Media Encoder .avi... same thing. There must be a way to override this setting.

Flash Media Server - easy download tool?

Currently, my company uses FMS 3.5 and uses fairly regularly for the video stream to clients on the web. I am currently the only user with access to the FTP root to place the video files on the FMS. What we would like to know; Y at - it an easy way for others to download videos on the FMS without giving them direct access. That is to say a download tool that puts a video on the server.
I found a tutorial here:

that seems to solve a problem, but it appears to require Flash Media Encoding Server, which no longer exists and we have not.

I recently installed the Flash Media Server 4.5 on my Windows 2008 x 64 R2
Whenever I try to restart the service as an administrator he starts giving problems such as making connection authenticated with Flash Media Encoder Live (I installed the x 64 plugin for authentication which is with v3.2 FMEL)
Please can someone guide me why FMS 4.5 becomes unstable and buggy once I restart the Apache Server and Flash Media Service as an administrator! I need to host files on network drives so I need administrator access... If adobe don't like the administrator name then whats the alternative workaround, for example create usernames?

One of the solutions I've found is it's to say try doing all the three Services of Windows FMS ( Flash Media Server (FMS) ,Flash Media Administration Serverand FMSHttpd) in the few controller domain or at least the same administrator account.
After doing this first manually stop Flash Media Administration Server. After the Administration Server stops now run the Flash Media Server (FMS), which should automatically launch the FMSHttpd (Apache) Service. Once the two are started, then try to start the Flash media Administration Server.
To make sure that Flash Media Administration Service always begins LAST you can either use the manual Batch file in the boot sequence or can set the "Delayed start" option in the settings of Services.

Thanks for the information. I doubt that services not started at all.
You should check the FMS logs @ FMS installation directory\logs folder, and this installation directory is by default c:\program files\adobe\flash media server.
If you are using Windows 7, you need start services to run as an administrator. Open a prompt with administrator privileges and then start the services fms as below:
net start fms
net start fmsadmin
So now you're able to connect.

Can do anything on the Red frames on export of Prem Pro or via Media Encoder encoding?
Red images to be displayed when you export directly from Prem Pro or through Media Encoder. Always on the C300 mxf files and totally, completely at random.
I produce documentary and concert film. I need the confidence that each export I do on these long form projects are 100% solid in terms of quality. Have been times recently when I QC had a film only for a red frame Flash upward in the last 5 minutes. Then requires a different export and another session QC.
I am aware that it is a known problem. Everything was done on this subject he or y at - he of the workarounds that anyone can share?

What first version are you on? It was a problem in 2014.0 but was supposed to be resolved in 2015.0.1. I don't have the problem with my C300 files in the latest version.

I want to convert my video files in FLV format as im eager to export the video in flash, this seems to be the only format that it will accept. Media Encoder is more to this format, how can I get around this?
I could be wrong, but in my research for this issue, I learned that there is no solution from Adobe to convert an F4V or a FLV. I talked to Adobe support directly and they told me to buy a 3rd party conversion program. I find absolutely stupid that the only way to embed a video in Animate using a FLV or F4V, and there is no codec to convert video in this format.
