  • Firefox drops letters when using Franklin Gothic times, but not Safari

I bought the web version of Franklin Gothic Book, Medium and half of MyFont - and began to use them in my new site in development.

We hit a few problems that brought me to re-examine the whole issue - unless we help to accomplish:

Problem 1 - Firefox drops several letters/characters and is therefore no use to me at all as it is.

The problem does not occur in Safari.

Problem 2 - police seems poor at 20px size - in any browser on Windows XP - see attached 3

I would really like the fonts on my new site - and was not anticipating any problems having in mind the fonts of the advertising on the sites has been doing in the past 12 months. However, I may need to ask for my money back, unless we can get this version of Franklin Gothic Book, Medium and a half at work.

It is a problem with the police.

The police has the ligature characters removed, but ligature tables are still there. MyFonts says that you should be able to regenerate the police with the full character set:

You should be able to log into your account, go to "Your order history", select the appropriate purchase, then select "time Kit Builder', just to the right of 'Easy' and 'Office police downloads '. If you click on the sample of fonts (the quick brown fox), you will see the advanced character options. Please choose to keep the pattern of open Type (all the characters will be automatically selected) and download the file. (If this option is available for your font, you will want to choose the police under "Webfonts" available on the page 'Time Kit Builder', then, under 'Webfonts selected-> OpenType layout', check the option 'keep all available OpenType.'.) ***

If the problem persists, or if you are unable to regenerate the time and that you only need to support Firefox 4 +, you can work around the problem by adding - moz-font-feature-settings: "calt = 0, liga = 0; to your @font-face.

If you need also to support Firefox 3.6, you can use text-rendering: optimizeSpeed; as an alternative.

  • Missing a "Showcard Gothic" font!

I have a new PC, old was Win 7 Win 8 is new. I'm missing a font Showcard 'Gothic', where I can downloaded from? I've also seen FAQ: fonts changed when changing operating system! Is this true?

I contacted Microsoft technical support to see the availability of the police, and told me that Photoshop use their own fonts! Help, please. Thank you.

OK, I contacted the technical support of Adobe Photoshop, and the response has been: the police you speak, do not come with the operating system or in Photoshop CS6. Photoshop uses the fonts available from any other software installed on the same PC. In my case, the police "Showcard Gothic" was available in my old PC of Microsoft Office 2010. Currently, in my new PC, I bought Office 2013, which it is not the police.

The solution: disable MS Office 2010 from old PC and install it in the new PC. You can't use MS Office 2010 in the new PC, but fonts that will be available for Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Gee, I thought that if I've updated to the latest and greatest, everything will be wonderful... bad.

I hope that my experience with this issue will help someone read this post and allowing them to save time looking for a solution. My wife always tells me when I update whatever it is 'no, I don't. "I want only ON and OFF. : >

There are many fonts supplied with your operating system (Windows 7 or 8). Other applications will install additional fonts when you install.

In your case, Showcard Gothic does not come with your operating system. Nor does it come with Adobe products. Instead, it comes to Microsoft Office products.

When you started to work on the new computer, it has all of the same applications that are installed, including the fact that is missing applications that install Showcard Gothic. You need to install an application on your computer that includes Showcard Gothic. Here is a list provided by Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/font.aspx?FMID=599

Photoshop and other Adobe will allow you to use the fonts installed on your system. If the font is not installed on your system, you won't be able to use it in Photoshop.

The information that you have previously provided is correct and that fact that you don't have a Gothic Showcar installed on your new computer has nothing to do with Photoshop or Adobe.

  • I need the century Gothic fonts for my windows XP

Does anyone have the files of fonts for Windows XP "century gothic"?

I need to reinstall my computer for a specific program work. (treated receipts)

It is not a font of Windows XP by default, you will need to get it from another source or program.  See here for the default fonts in Windows XP:

The police is included with other products from Microsoft that you already have, see here: http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/font.aspx?FMID=643

  • How to open an EPS file with embedded fonts / missing without losing the appearance of these fonts?

I often work with graphics created by others in a variety of programs (Matlab, GnuPlot,...). Sometimes, they're sending me EPS files with fonts "embedded", but when I go to open them in the CS6, I get the box alerts missing fonts / substituted.

I also tried ' site > flatten transparency...» "as you can do with a PDF file, but I encounter an error indicating"related work that interacts with transparency can be flattened. Incorporate the work (using the links Panel) before flattening. "When I try this, I get once the box alert missing fonts / substituted.

Someone at - he encountered the same problem and find their way around it?

I solved the problem, so I just came back to share:

I open the EPS file in Mac preview and it has exported to PDF.

I then followed the procedure that I listed above to open the PDF files.

    Hope this helps everyone.

  • Fonts missing after migration to InDesign CS3

After migration to InDesign CS to a new PC, a font is missing: Arial Narrow family. I've used this for large number of tables in a book, I need to find a method to retrieve this font. Arial Narrow police is listed in the installation of Windows fonts (Vista). The police is also listed in the font list of InDesigne CS3 on my old PC.

Is there a way to fix this?

    Thanks, Joop

If this does not work, you will need to copy the old policies of the other system and reinstall new versions.

  • The option 'Install new font' missing from the file menu.

I did a "search forum" and has not found the solution to my problem, so I apologize if it's here somewhere under a different title. I looked on the microsoft site itself, as well as Google search. Here's my problem:

I am trying to install a new font, but do not have the option in the file menu of police record. It's just not there. I am running Windows 7.

Thanks for any help you can give!

    Brandi

Too bad! I googled some more and found my answer.

For those who overlook the obvious like me, once you download a new font, open it, and there is a button 'install new font' just there. Yay!

  • Fonts missing error when compiling.

I use the Output Designer 5.7. For presentment targets I PDF more all HP PCL5 and PCL6 most all printers Xerox PCL5, except that I removed targets Asian presentment. When I compile I get messages on the fonts of various sizes of Arial to Arial 10 pt. These messages mean that the police has been changed for all targets of presentation or just one? Is there anyway to say what targets presentment has modified fonts?

Here is an example of a compilation of JFBatch message. A similar problem appears when compiling the GUI.

    MSG #: 100 police passed: ' Arial (W1) 8.0 PT - Regular "to:" (W1) Arial PT. 10.0 - Regular'.

In fact, I thought that this one myself. If you compile from the user interface dialog box indicates which printer does not support the policy in question. If these printers were removed the presentation targets then the error disappears.

In my case, the question was HP 4 L, 5 L and 6 L printers.

  • Calibri fonts missing on the new iMac

Hi all, thanks for your support.

I'm an amateur edition of a newsletter of club with InDesign (Creative Cloud 2015). It's a very simple four-page document that I export to PDF and send it to a small local printer. I inherited the previous editor three years InDesign file; I simply copy the file and void content each month. The file has always used Calibri and time of fonts.

Today, I started my first edition of the newsletter with a new iMac (OS 10.11). Uh-oh: the entire text of Calibri is highlighted pink.

I'm not at all a design pro, and I don't know how to work the fonts.

    Other factors:

    • I had my old iMac, Office: Mac 2008.
    • I don't feel strongly want you with Calibri, if there is an easy way to move on.
    • I see Typekit in 2015 of CC app. He can help me?

Can you give me simple steps to activate certain font without serifs in this file, so I can spend?

    Thank you!

    Sylvia

Very easy, actually. In the Type menu, select search for a police... Highlight Calibri in the list and choose replace from the list below. Check the box "Redefine Style when changing all", too. Click on change all. You may need to perform some replacement operations, replacement of each style or weight of Calibri with Museo (Calibri italic, bold, etc.).

  • F16, F17, F2 etc fonts "missing."

Help, please! I'm composition orginated in Latex and Word tricks and have problems with ligatures and characters not displaying and give me the cross-pink box. When determining the file, I am out of the police errors that are not displayed in the preflight or where to find the fonts in the document. These fonts are called: F16, F18, F43, F17, F2. What is the problem? How to solve this?

Maybe you used different fonts for extended characters. InDesign can work with OTF, you need to use. Better would be to use a Pro, which includes the characters of that language. InDesign comes with a lot of extended fonts, such as Minion Pro and Myriad Pro.

Not every font includes these characters, but if these characters in a font, InDesign works very well:

I strongly recommend NOT to use Apple system fonts as you did today.

  • Regular Helvetica font missing in Photoshop CS3, but not in CS5 on the same computer

I have two Photoshop CS3 and CS5 installed on a Windows 7 64 - bit system.  Photoshop CS5 has two fonts Helvetica: a TrueType and Type 1.  The TT version offers only italic and bold italic styles.  Police T1 offers the full suite of the bold, italic, bold italic (or oblique) and medium (or ordinary).  Sounds strange, but it's enough.  Photoshop CS3 on the same computer, only offers me the Helvetica TT police, with only two styles mentioned above.  Why CS3 can not see the Helvetica T1?  Why the Helvetica TT only shows me two styles?  In case it is relevant, I think that the version of Type 1 is the only one I have installed deliberately, and I recently upgraded to a 2010 version of the police made available by Adobe (to solve another problem with Microsoft Word 2010).

    Thanks in advance!

It is by default no Helvetica on PCs. everywhere where these fonts, is somewhere else. Install another program or you bought the fron of Linotype fonts. The latetr is doubtful, of course, in the light of what you said. Aside from that, you can check your directory of Adobe (C:\Programm Common Files Fiels\Adobe\Fonts) fonts from your system fonts directory. For CS3, this would be relevant. Fonts are usually means that several fonts have the same name or the system of police can't understand things for other reasons...

  • Import Layout in Muse

    Hello

I have an icon that I received from the Director of import in muse.

It's 6 type layers (titles) that use different types of Franklin Gothic fonts. He is originally an Illustrator file. I also did in Photoshop one.

First of all, I thought there was a way (hoping, rather), just copy and past them in Muse. This does not seem possible?

Secondly, not all fonts on my system appear on the list of fonts available for Muse.

I want as a separate element type (not not bringing in jpeg format) I want to do is highlight or shine on turnover. Or is there a way I can make in a layered file in muse? It would be nice too, I suppose?

    Hello

You can add your Illustrator or Photoshop layered file to your Muse. Please see the following links:

  • How to solve a problem of missing fonts?

Hello. I want to know why Adobe think that I don't have League Gothic fonts when I do? I even uninstalled and reinstalled the kit type, but in the psd with this font file, it shows the yellow triangles and a box that says I lack of fonts. Cancel or do not resolve. Is there more than Gothic League? I have the whole family.

I consider a private matter. I went to the model that I mentioned and scrolls to the bottom of my fonts menu and selected LGR I got a box pops up that says make this word is missing and font substitution will occur. HE asks me if I want to continue in that said yes.  As a result, I was able to keep the same font used in the model. Just replace the parentheses with no brackets. Thanks for your help!

  • Missing fonts in all menus of fonts?

I've recently updated to OSX and Freehand MX (I use Freehand 8 and 9). Everything works fine, but one of the main policies of my company does not appear in the menu. ITC Franklin Gothic Book is simply disappeared, although it shows in Photoshop and Word and all other programs I checked.

And this isn't a problem with the fonts in alphabetical order, strangely. I know where the police should be (F) and he's not here. Is there some sort of bug with the free and font management programs? Also, does anyone know of a good utility that does what Adobe Type meeting does OS9?

    Thanks for any help

    Judy-

Thanks for the tip. The manufacturers of the Pro said the same police officer. And even if the police could be "verified" successfully, something was clearly wrong. A new version of the police has worked very well!
