  Now, it won't save my picture library on DHM (to remove Mac) as some pic (s?) (among the 35000) are corrupt (but I have no idea of who or how many). I tried to restore the library several times, but then it freezes and says it cannot open the library, it can in fact - but not when restoring it.

  I have now to turn my new SMT in another time machine and saved everything on there. Should I try and remove my library on Mac and then restore from time machine? What this will do to my corrupted files? And it is likely to be able to register then EHD?

  What size is the drive?  For Photos, it may be only Mac OS extended (journaled)

  and you can't have photo library on the same amount of time Machine backup

  You can probably clone the library for the EHD with SuperDuper or CarbonCopyCloner or other clone software

  I just installed October 6 update Photoshop and all of my computer freezes as soon as I open any window dialog in Photoshop. I use a Mac Pro with installed 10.7.5. I had a similar problem with the updated InDesign. For that I removed the WhatsNewBundle (or something of the same name) and that fixed things. I tried to remove the folder com.photoshop.welcome in the contents of the package, but that did not help. So, I uninstalled the thing and I'm going to re-install the earlier version.

  My lightroom keep to overwrite/no response and turn in a gray screen after that some loading which lasted forever. It is right after I start and as soon as I open a file for editing or for export, it goes all blurry and then well, then there is nothing.

  I use a Mac Book Pro, which is new and an external hard drive with plenty of space to this topic. My lightroom is updated, I use Lightroom 5.7.1, and I'm not a user of creative cloud.

  I searched the forum for an answer but all I found were a ton of other users have reported the same problem but no solution at all. Needless to say, it's quite annoying and frustrating. If anyone knows a reliable alternative to Lightroom then please let me know as Adobe problems become ridiculous. In fact, I'm at a point where I plan to go again 100% analog.

  • Disconnect all external devices (such as the phone, Tablet, external hard drives, memory cards)
  • Then reset Preferences with Lightroom recover the catalog and images after resetting preferences
  • Restart Lightroom.
  • Also to optimize Lightroom catalog file > Optimize catalog see Optimize performance

• El Capitan 10.11.6 freezes on MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid-2012)
