Friends call me to play games online successfully. Then I installed updates for Vista "recommended" and now, none of them can connect to me

I used http://www.canyouseeme.org/ to check that my port, which is configured to forward correctly, is not accessible.  I took down my firewall, same problem.

Hello

Better, do a system restore:

  • Play games online wireless is sometimes "shocking."

    Hi all

I have an A100-797. When I play a game, it works perfectly. But when I play this same game (UT2004) online or with friends wireless, the game will sometimes Alison (I don't know the right word: P). the game works very well if we play with a cable (LAN). So I think there is a problem with wireless. Can someone help me?

PS. I've just updated the wireless drivers and that no longer works.

    Thank you
    Mathijs

    Hello

For LAN games it is much better to use the connection to the local network. It allows you quick and almost unlimited data transfer. You need to know by LAN game connection must be stable and using WLAN it can works well but you have to negotiate for the interruptions of connection and it is fatal for online games.

I recommend you to use the connection to the local network.

  • Satellite M500 - Mouse pointer disappears when you play games online

I have a brand new, custom configured M500 form Toshiba. It has Windows 7 Professional Enterprise, 64-bit edition. Everything worked great until I spent a lot of money on the game Star Trek Online. When I go in the game, the mouse pointer disappears. I can see on the screen change action items when the mouse hover over them but no pointer. It makes the game difficult. Then I tried another game online, Free Realms, and I have the same problem.

I use a Logitech V220 Wireless mouse. I uninstalled the Logitech driver to see if that was the issue. I allowed Windows to use the default driver provided with the system. It does not work.

I called Toshiba and they had me remove the device and selected Windows generic driver for that. It works no more. The guy on the line said it would enter my service call and that she would go to a senior technician and they would call me within 24 hours. It has been two weeks and not a glance.

Anyone else has this problem or know of any other way I can try to solve it?

    Hello

To me that sounds like this, there is a problem (incompatibility) between this online game and your external mouse...
In your case I remove the mouse and uninstall the driver. Run CCleaner to clean the registry. Now try the touchpad online.

More update the display and DirectX as Al - eX driver already written.

  • Cannot play games online.

When I try to connect to any game online the connection just times out. I'm not having problems with my connection and I did everything that I can think of to fix this. No matter what type of game I try to play, I have this same problem.

    Noel2112,
Here are a few things I suggest that you try if you have not yet.  First turn off clean boot your system and then test and see if you are able to play one of your games.  Here are the instructions to perform a clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936212/

If this does not help then I suggest the System File Checker to verify that it is not a possible problem with the operating system running.  Here is the information on CFS: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

You said it's the only PC having this problem.  Are others that you are using on the network?  If so the router settings are the same for this PC and others? Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers
