  Answering my own question:

  A couple firmware updates, this EWS feature has been removed from my P4014n printers but added to my printers LaserJet Enterprise M601n.

But today, I accidently clicked on 'Remote Control Panel' and got a double chart of the front of the printer with all the buttons (OK, up/down arrows, red X, home, back and a numeric keypad). There is also an option "restart".

  Are you try right click on empty office > view > change the size of icons it (use Classic icons for the smaller)?

  Or use your mouse wheel and the Ctrl Key to do so.

  You get only the HP Logo on the screen of the printer, but you can still print.

  I have serious doubts. Often, models that use the higher resolution screen also use a different motherboard and the new Panel will not work.   I checked the issue described on Satellite M100-188 with TruBrite screen. It is visible on the white and clear areas, but on Start button while that turn off everything is OK.

  I'm really interested about service information, but I'm sure that there are no bugs and according to me, there is not much to do. I know it's much worse on a Satellite phone, and because of this, it has been updated from the BIOS.

  By the way: on my old Tecra M1 with LCD panel normal white background is also not 100% clear. But I must say that TryBrite on Qosmio laptops display is bright and much better than on M100. I really put t know what difference it there but perhaps portable multimedia expencive were simply better display.

  I recently bought the evaluation of embedded software package that comes with the trial version of FPGA, RT LV8.6 90 days... and even though I have sucessfully worked through the tutorial, with the kit I came across a problem when you try to run a remote web site, Panel as it list loading 0% but never proceeded beyond this point.

  After fishing trawl through many discussion forums, I came across a post that gave one of the reasons for this as being due to having a later version of LabVIEW run time engine installed on the PC - only by removing LabVIEW 2011 could I get the web to run Panel.

  My question is how to manage several versions of LabVIEW if I wish (and) to install multiple versions of LabVIEW and still be able to run a command remotely through LV8.6?

  With LabVIEW development versions, you can disable (using the License Manager OR), but given that the engines of execution are not allowed you can not disable that.

  You could try one of your LabVIEW versions running on a virtual machine, what separates them from the other.

  I was wondering if there is a way to determine the IP address of a computer connected to a remote panel vi? I have a vi that can be controlled via the remote control.  I want to be able to send files from my computer to the server computer. I have written a Subvi ftp, but quickly learned why they call it "remote panel.  Basically, the idea is to get the ip address of the computer connected to the remote control.  When the user selects the files on their computer, I want to ftp the files they choose on their computer to the thread to the host of the remote panel.
