FTP adapter - avoid password in plain text

Hello

When we set up a FTP adapter in the pool of connections FTP Oubound enter us password. The password is stored in plain text. It is visible to all users (even to a user who has just monitor access). Can we have the password in protected mode.

Thank you

Sanjay

Create the mapping of credentials under the Security tab of the FTP adapter in the deployment of weblogic console section.

  • Oracle FTP adapter - possibility of using the public key and the password

    Hi all

    One needs to connect to a target SFTP server using the public key and password using the Oracle's FTP adapter. Is it possible and feasible?

    I think it's usually one of them that would be used (the password or public key).

    Could someone help me with this please?

    Hi all

    We checked it with Oracle and it happens that this feature is not available in the product. It is probably considered to be an improvement.

    Hope that this update would be useful at all.

  • plain text avoid sending multipart on BES/Exchange-connected device

    I send email from the blackberry within our application. The outgoing format plain-text-messages that BES (or Exchange) by default uses is multipart. A part in html and plaintext part. Is there any 'magic' parameter which forces the plain text mails do not send multiparted?

    Who is responsible for the multipart-shaped?

    Is your handheld or BES or Exchange?

    Anil cordially

    The BlackBerry Enterprise Server should not change the e-mail sent from a BlackBerry.  It can be Exchange that does this (unless you create a message to multiple parties on the BlackBerry).

  • some messages are distorted and display in plain text, but of different messages!

    It seems that my Inbox file got corrupted. Some State messages were very good days now appear in plain text. The worst is that the content does not match the subject of the message. However, not all messages are affected. What can I do to fix this?

    Thank you!

    PS: I have three separate accounts and only 1 of them has this problem.

    Right-click on the folder of the problem, and then select Properties. Then the Repair folder.

    Be prepared to lose messages if the corruption is too bad.

  • The local users and 'Add Member to group' groups function displays the password in clear text

    Hello

    I saw something strange that happens when you add the connected locally to the domain user to a local security group via lusrmgr.msc. This seems to be repeated in our Organization, and I was wondering if it's something to do with our generation, or if it is more widespread? After you have selected the locally connected user (domain) to be added to a local security group, but before confirming with OK / apply, the user name appears in the ACL in the format:

    Domain\username (password@fulldomain)

    The password appears when the user name should be, which is probably just a minor bug where an incorrect value is selected on the screen, but the fact that it is displayed in plain text rather than a hash of password is a little more disconcerting. There seems to be some caveats: it affects only the users in the domain (local users are displayed differently); It is not affected by the local administrator rights (although /are/ to add the user to the local administrator rights); It doesn't affect that the user logged on locally (I can't reproduce as a runas user).

    The steps to reproduce this are:
    (1) start | Run | lusrmgr.msc
    (2) go to the groups. [Any group] | Right-click | Add to group
    3) click on add
    (4) enter the username of the user locally. Ok

    Anyone else see this behavior?

    See you soon,.

  • \b in the transition from text to text elements. How to get just the plain text?

    I use C++ FDK and get TextItems with FTI_String from the active document. But the text in the text elements contains characters that do not appear in the text. For example, \b. What is this character and how can I get only the plain text without any character of metadata of FrameMaker.

    Ch,

    I think you could see tabs. Presented as an escape sequence, \b translates the BACKSPACE (0x08) ASCII character. For some reason, that's how the tabs are represented when you get the text of a document with the API. You expect to show that \t or ASCII 0 x 09, but they did not.

    There is no way to avoid retrieving a character entered by the user when you F_ApiGetText(). You must simply do a search and replace once you have the string in your code.

    I hope I understand what you're asking here.

    I am trying to create a BPEL process using SOA 11 g 11.1.1.4, that will put the file on the remote site using the ftp adapter. I created JNDI correctly and using portfolio.
    useFtps = True
    walletLocation = correct path of portfolio created in Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)
    walletPassword = walletPassword
    Host = ipaddress
    username = myUsername
    Password = myPassword

    For all this, I followed http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/integration.1111/e10231/adptr_file.htm#BABEBGGD

    Now, whenever I try to test this BPEL process it gives me the error:

    "Exception occurred during invocation of the JCA binding:" JCA binding run reference operations 'Put' failure due to: error in establishing session SSL. " Error in the SSL session establishment. Impossible to establish the SSL session to the control channel. Response string: 530 please login with USER and pass response Code: 530) Please correct the SSL configuration. ". The called JCA adapter threw an exception of resource. Please review the error message above carefully to determine a resolution.

    Any suggestion or resolutions are welcome.

    Thank you!!

    Hello

    When you configure the connection for the FTP adapter factory in Admin Console, provide the following values for attributes such as the host name, user name, password, port and the path of remote as location when
    you want to save the file to remote server, for example, ftpAbsolutePathBegin. Please fill out this
    attribute with the path like/soa/ftp/file (example path). If you write to a remote FTP server you must create a factory for connections for this as shown above.

    Please try this and let me know...

    Thank you

  • plain text files load from an external file

    I created a text file from an external load file. I am facing a problem is that the text does not load unless someone click on the button. I'd like the text is displayed as soon as someone enters the page.

    Here is the link to the website http://hitenkajal.co.uk/our_story.html

    Username: hitenkajal.co.uk

    password: sairam11

    and my screen below codes:

    Plain text files load from an external file

    var textLoader:URLLoader;
    function loadStory(evt:MouseEvent):void
    {

    textLoader = new URLLoader();

    textLoader.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, textLoaded);

    textLoader.load (new URLRequest ("MobyDick.txt assets/Franck"));
    trace ("hit_btn");
    }

    hit_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, loadStory);

    function loadHowwemet(evt:MouseEvent):void
    {

    textLoader = new URLLoader();

    textLoader.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, textLoaded);

    textLoader.load (new URLRequest ("assets/pencil kajal MobyDick.txt"));
    trace ("kaj_btn");
    }

    kaj_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, loadHowwemet);

    function loadProposal(evt:MouseEvent):void
    {

    textLoader = new URLLoader();

    textLoader.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, textLoaded);

    textLoader.load (new URLRequest("assets/proposal.txt"));
    trace ("pro_btn");
    }
    pro_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, loadProposal);

    function textLoaded(evt:Event):void
    {

    Container.info_txt.text = textLoader.data;

    }

    Creation of a ScrollBar to a text field
    var dragRect:Rectangle = new Rectangle(drag.x,drag.y,0,bar.height-drag.height);
    drag.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, dragMouseDown);

    function dragMouseDown(evt:MouseEvent):void
    {
    drag.startDrag (false, dragRect);
    stage.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, dragMouseUp);
    addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, scrolling).
    }

    function dragMouseUp(evt:MouseEvent):void
    {
    drag.stopDrag ();
    stage.removeEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, dragMouseUp);
    removeEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, scrolling).
    }

    function scrollText(evt:Event):void
    {
    var percentScrolled:Number = (drag.y - bar.y)/(bar.height-drag.height);
    Container.y = percentScrolled * (bar.height - container.height) + bar.y;
    }

    I do not know what Maury is trying to say, but the code is very well.  1009 error means your code is trying to target something that does not exist for as far as the code sees it.  In your function textLoaded, add the line I show below and see what appears in the output...

    function textLoaded(evt:Event):void
    {
    trace (container, container.info_txt);

    Container.info_txt.text = textLoader.data;
    }

    If the output shows undefined, then you have a problem insofar as the container or the textfield inside it sucks... most likely a naming problem.

  • Configuring the FTP adapter

  • FTP adapter: Not picking not the file on the remote server

    Hello

    I use the FTP adapter to read the file from the remote server and file ra.xml - oc4j configured with good host, port, username and password.

    Once I have deployed my process, no instance of this process is created and remote directory entry file is not picked up.

    Please help on this issue. Thanks in advance.

    Just checking that you can send via ftp manually from the BPEL server.

    Looks like you can use the ra.xml - oc4j wrong file.

    Also in your BPEL project, take a look on the link partner FTP and see the JNDI location, it will look something like eis/Ftp/sample.

    This may be what you want to rename, generally good naming practices puts the server, for example Ftp/ist/FtpAdapter

    To make sure that you have configured the file ra.xml - correct oc4j we can check through the Manager of the company, even though Marc has specified the correct location.

    EM-> oc4j_soa-> Applications-> Drop down choice list autonomous resource adapters-> FtpAdapter-> connection Pools

    Select the JNDI name, you indicated in your BPEL process, if there is no create a.

    Create connections as needed.

    Also a hint is to start with the base directory, for example when you connect by ftp manually, it will be where you load the files. In your configuration / (oc4j - RA.Xml) is the place of departure and / is the physical or logical path. Download this work so that you know that you have the right connection. Then start working on the location of the directory.

  • Where specify us the connection information for an FTP adapter?

    Hello

    I'm doing a simple ftp using a SOA - ESB service. I created a FTP service using the FTP adapter. The FTP adapter ask abt the file name and the directory. Where can I specify the details of the host as hostname, user name and password?

    Thank you
    RV

    When you start the wizard from the adapter, you specify a JNDI name, it will be something like Ftp/ist/sample.

    You can do this other thing to use the same concept, for example ist/Ftp / [hostname_user]

    You then you connect to Enterprise Manager

    -> applications-> FTP adapter oc4j_soa (maybe it's not accurate)

    Here, you can specify the details of connection to this server. Name the name JNDI eis/Ftp / [hostname_user]

    You can also modify the ra.xml - oc4j directly for the FTP adapter

    This lies

    Oracle_Home\j2ee\ [home or oc4j_soa] \application-deployments\default\FtpAdapter

    see you soon

  • Password in clear text in the settings personal WiFi hotspot?

    is ios10.0.1 - necessary to show wifi password in clear text? Why? Now I have to worry about pwd wifi being exposed to anyone who uses my phone. I can give them the phone to use for other purposes, but not at the risk of password exposure. This is a security hole.

    It's just for the personal hotspot. It is not reveal your password to other wifi wifi that connect. The personal hotspot, it must show for you to know what password to use to connect to it with other devices.
