  I'm downloading a new site FTP of Muse on the former site of the FTP of Dreamweaver. It downloads fine, but the old pages of HTML in Dreamweaver are still on the site. Although not visible in a browser they are always picked up by the search engines. How can I go about removing the old HTML Dreamweaver pages?

  Just upload another like FileZilla FTP client and manage the site.

  Since the Dreamweaver CC update, the Mac and PC software in our studio versions have missing modification dates in panel FTP of Dreamweaver.

  Tried as below.

  1. Exit DW CC and the rest of the applications.

  2 reset the preferences from the registry and Appdata.

  3. I restart you.

  4. launch DW CC.

  If this is not enough, try to create a new user account or use built in admin account.

• Cannot use FTP with Dreamweaver

  Hi all
  
  I've got the Dreamweaver FTP connected to my site, but I'm having some trouble. I can download the pages of my host via the FTP of Dreamweaver, but I can't I download just get a timed message. I tried CuteFTP and I can upload and download without any problem at all. Is there a way I can configure the FTP of Dreamweaver to check if I have the etc good port open and someone had this problem? If so, what is wrong?

  If you go to site settings, and then click Advanced at the top then click Remote Info. Here, you should note the FTP information. Make sure that the box for passive FTP mode is enabled and you should be good to go.

• Problems with FTP in Dreamweaver 4 connection

  I hope someone can help me with the following:
  
  Recently I can only connect to the host FTP in Dreamweaver once per day.
  
  I have two sites defined in my Dreamweaver 4 and before I was able to connect several times a day the two don't sites - no problem.
  But now he connects once and then what is trying to connect to the other set of site or maybe some time later on the first site again (where I connected on the same day already) I get the error message: "error FTP - connection to the host cannot be madet.
  Basically it now always only will link every day once.
  
  Anyone any idea what is the cause?

  These issues are more often associated with your firewall. Please try
  Turn it off completely.

• Can not ftp from Dreamweaver 8 for 1 & amp; 1 web hosting

  I use Dreamweaver 8 to create html Web sites.
  
  I have two different ISPS. Troy cable is a local ISP and I am able to connect through the button 'Connect to a remote host' Dreamweaver, which is above all the files to the right. Then, I am able to select the file and click the blue arrow to download the file.
  
  But when I connect with 1 & 1 web hosting, I connect and am able to see my files on their server, but I don't see any icons such as "Get Files" 'put files' and all those who are normally on this line.
  
  Thus, the only way that I could upload files to 1 & 1 is through Drag and Drop, which defeats the purpose of ftp of Dreamweaver. It would be much easier that way.
  
  How can I get Dreamweaver to display this bar with these icons? Should I maybe wrong parameters?

• Unable to connect via FTP in Dreamweaver

  This morning, Dreamweaver connects using ftp very well.  All of a sudden, it stopped working.  I called my host to make sure that my IP has not been blocked, and they said it was fine.  I called my internet service provider to check on a firewall, and they said it was fine, no firewall and no change on their end.   I can connect to the internet just fine and use other FTP agents very well.  Dreamweaver only not working.  I've updated to create clouds because I thought my CS6 was the cause of the problem.   Always impossible to use Dreamweaver FTP, I need to work so I can work. Sad, does anyone have a solution?  Error message is attached as a screenshot.

• A FTP with Dreamweaver CC transfer constantly hang up

  I'm a long time Dreamweaver user.  Try the evaluation version of DW cc.  I'm on an Imac, new installation of Yosemite - no previous version of DW on this machine.

  When you download the files to my remote server, if intermittently connects to the server.  Then, if not intermittently from connect-it downloads files - usually it says "file transfer" then stops and says ftp cannot be completed-check firewall.  I have all the firewall off.

  I enabled FTP options in the section more options of the server configuration tab.  I deleted the MacFileCache.dat file... I have re-set up my remote server a bunch of times... Still does not work.  I really don't see myself paying for this software if it does not work!

  I have no problem downloading files with TextWrangler, so I guess it's a matter of DW.  I spent at least 15 hours dealing with this issue - HELP!

  I have no problem with the FTP of DW, but some people have reported problems with some hosts.  Make sure that you send to the correct site root directory.  Passive FTP mode seems to work for me better.

• WordPress for the FTP of Dreamweaver problems

  So I created Wordpress with MAMP, and it worked really well. I downloaded my Wordpress site on Dreamweaver and it's all great work. I finished my website and tried to download using a FTP server. The server connected very well and when I open it I see all the files of Wordpress. But when I go to the website it says, 'Error establishing a database connection'. My Wordpress site works in localhost, but not online. If someone could help me that would be great. The site is northernleisure.co.uk (for not very useful)

  The database is not transferred by FTP.

  Normally you install Wordpress on the server (usually the host provides a simple automated process for this) and you work directly on the server when you create pages, etc.

  Are you themes editing or WordPress code? Those who would be the reasons to host a local copy of wordpress.

• Problems with FTP of Dreamweaver and Yosemite [subject edited by Moderator]

  Please follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Quit Dreamweaver runs.
  2. Go to the Spotlight (magnifying glass icon on the far right of the menu bar) and type "keychain". Locate the "Keychain Access" application, then click on to start.
  3. In Keychain Access, you should see a list of keychain items.  Look in the 'Name' column for an affected item named with the name of the Site from your site. It will look something like this: ' sitename-SiteServer 0. It will also say 'application password' in the column 'Genre '.
  4. Click the item to select. You should see a few properties of the Keychain item appears at the top of the Keychain Access window. As a double check, make sure that the value for the 'account' is the name of the FTP user.  If this isn't the case, then you can have the wrong item.
  5. Once you are happy, you have the correct item, and it is selected, press the delete key to remove it. Leave the application open for now.
  6. Start Dreamweaver, go to the "Manage Sites" dialog (Site > Manage Sites...) and modify the affected site. Click on the servers section and double-click the server in the list to edit it.
  7. Enter the FTP username and password, and then click Save to close the editing server box and click on save again to close the site box.
  8. You should now see that a new element of Keychain has been created in Keychain Access (it must have the same name).
  9. You can quit Keychain Access and Dreamweaver now and then restart Dreamweaver and check if it works now without having to re - enter the FTP details.

  Please let us know if you still face problems.

  Today, I tried to establish an FTP connection to the serveradress "ftp.mobelverwandlung.com", but I get the error message that the program could not connect to host. Dreamweaver works perfectly with the other serveradresses and I managed to connect to "ftp.mobelverwandlung.com" with other programs, I think the problem is the German 'Umlaut' 'o'. Anyone who recognized the same problem, and does anyone know a solution?

  ICH hab ' evil bei meinem provider nachgesehen. Ublicherweise muss man sleeps die ursprungliche für die Zeit Vergleichen und eine neue vereinbaren minutes field. However show sie sich kulant EIB so kurzen "Laufzeiten" von ein paar Stunden wie bei dir. Versuche den Support Deines Providers by Telefon zu Berge.

• Connection FTP of Dreamweaver Info

  When Dreamweaver CS5 stores FTP log in info for the defined sites? I deleted by hard drive and reinstalled my OS and worked with a senior Apple technician to restore my settings and programs from a time Machine backup. Dreamweaver is there and works well, but the site definitions are missing, the login and password for you connect via ftp. Where is this info stored? Is there a Preferences file somewhere?

• Problems connecting to the remote host via FTP from DreamWeaver

  I have problems to connect to my remote host in DreamWeaver.  I can connect via the Client File Zilla and was able to connect until my hard drive crashed.  Now w/new drive, I get an error msg. I tried to create a new site, which connets when I test the connection, but when I go to view the files, a dialog box appears saying "(cannont get info dossier distant, accès refusé, etc) I tried selecting the different settings and combines following parameters: use firewall, secure ftp, ftp passive mode." Don't know what else to try at this point. I have WIN XP, Adobe Creative Suite CS3.  I'd appreciate any help, thanks!

  OK - it's good. I noticed that your host directory contains only the character ' / ' and that could be the source of your problems.  What happens if you remove that, just leave this field blank?

• Log FTP of Dreamweaver CS4 is not accessible

  I'm not an expert in Dreamweaver to apolgies if this is a silly question, just googling and pasted on it all night...

  I can't open the site FTP log. When I select the 'Site Files' view and "Log FTP Site" options are silent on.

  I want to run a CHMOD on a .pl script which I am downloading. I don't know that I've done it before entering "site CHMOD 755/file.pl" in the section of the Site FTP log command. But for some reason any I can't seem to him now.

  Anyone know why that I have to change some settings or something?

  In DW window 'Files', select 'Remote server', then click "connects to the remote host", right-click your "file.pl" and click on "Set permissions" the "File properties" box opens, click on the "Run all" button and then 'OK' and then CHMOD 755 will be applied.

• Why is FTP of dreamweaver so slow!

  Why is it so slow to open the view a Dreamweaver web site server-side? Thought it was my slow website or the connection. After the script has expired finally claiming that the server was taking too long, I tried to Transmit.

  Guess what? She APPEARED just opened.

  There are several reasons why you may get into trouble, and they are not related to dreamweaver.  Dreamweaver has permission to receive traffic through the firewall?  Are your using the correct connection type (active/passive)?
