Error checksum weekly or almost

My computer has been crashing almost every week for the last month or two.

When it crashes I get a message on reboot that says:

"the file is maybe damaged. the file header checksum does not match the checksum calculated. »

I usually get to restart after leaving the machine off for half an hour.

the message was most recently concerning the following file information:

"file: windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe.

status: 0 x 0000221

Info: windows failed to load because the kernel is missing or damaged. "

any ideas on why this keeps happening and what I can do about it?

In the control panel select Problem Reports and Solutions (problem of type in)
The START searchbox), go to the history of the problem, your mistake right click and choose

    I have 3 Toshiba Portege R100s running Windows XP SP1/SP2. They all suffer from a checksum on boot up error which of course disappears once you press F1 and end in the BIOS. Utility Tester memory from Toshiba has been run on each of them and all 3 of the laptop fell into the range of laptops that need repair under the Exchange program memory from Toshiba.

    While being repaired by Toshiba, 2 laptops had their replace RTC battery (either the battery has been replaced by an authorized Toshiba repair shop). Within 2 days after their return, all laptops still raised an error at startup control. Each laptop is running the latest BIOS, the same software, and I went through the list posted checksum errors troubleshooting of Toshiba.

    Anyone out there suffering from that? I have a laptop on the way just in case.

    Hi Bruno.

    The error message indicates there is a problem with the BIOS of your laptop, maybe because the CMOS battery running or failed. Thus the system startup by using a default configuration.

    I suggest that you try to update your BIOS to the latest available in the download section of Toshiba and allow also your laptop to resist a few hours connected to AC power (but not under tension) in order to allow the battery CMOS fully recharge.

    If you still get the same problem after that, then it is likely that the CMOS battery should be replaced by your nearest ASP.

    Hi all!

    We had the problem after upgrade to 5.0 APEX, we got an 'error in checksum message Notification content"instead of the login message failed when entering a wrong user name or password when you connect to our application. We could reproduce the problem on our own servers, apex.oracle.com and www.maxapex.com with application created under the APEX 4.2. After a while the search for the cause, I compared a sample application by a faulty filter and discovered that the automatic time zone setting (Modify Application Properties globalization) has been set to 'yes' instead of 'no' of the sample application. After changing the value 'no', after a connection failure error messages has worked very well. But I couldn't not to turn the defective application example be Auto setting of the time zone to "yes". So I guess it's a problem of upgrading legacy applications 5.0 and 5.0.1. Try https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=43399 and enter some users of nonsense / pw.

    Does anyone else have this problem?

    Hi Christian,

    Thanks for the research of this issue. I filed bug #21435330 for that matter. It is caused by escaping into the JavaScript code for the detection zone, which modifies the text of the notification and makes it so different from the original text that has been calculated for the checksum for.

    I'm on APEX 4.1. Before 4.1 APEX, I was able to generate a link with apex_util.prepare_url and use it as a public link with parameters in the url and a checksum to avoid that the values of the parameters are updated by users.

    To generate the link I use the code:

    Could it be caused by an add-on? You might want to try the Mode without failure of Firefox. It is a standard diagnostic tool in order to avoid interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

    Hello everyone, I have a Laserjet CP1525 who I am troubleshooting for a colleague, and no matter what we do whenever we try to print, we get "paper jam in tray 2" "clear jam and then press {OK}."

    I checked this printer up and down and everything autour and there is no jams, there is not a coward or a sheet of paper, the platters, and linings are very clean, I opened all the doors on the printer, but we still have this isse. Toners are all fine, black, it becomes weak, but it is quite the impression that I was able to print a single test page.  I don't know what else to do. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    How old is this printer.  How it was used.  On this engine, I saw a lot where the roller is worn and it won't pick up the paper.  The roll is kind of a pain to change, but on what I laid out with this issue, once I have change the roll everything works fine.  Remove the tray paper and printing tilt up and with a flashlight he will shine on the roll.  Do not touch the roller.  There should be steps on the roll that you can see.  Most of the time there are only steps on the outside or the inside only and the rest of the roll is smooth.  If this is the case, you will need to change the roll.

    Optionally, you can also skip verification of checksum, but it is not recommended because it could lead to a malfunction of applications after the installation process.

    The APEX 4 on hidden object new field is called 'protected value' and by default it is set to yes. You can try this Setup, or none. This cannot help as you said you did this a text field but its probably worth a try.

    If I then manually manipulate the url to change my P3_WORK_PACKAGE_ID from 1179 to 1180 to:

    I get an error of:
    Error checksum calculated on demand, clear the cache, argument names and values of the argument (P3_WORK_PACKAGE_ID1180 [01BE394775DB7B5A861BEA77B6637A46]) does not match the checksum passed to the procedure of show (CC0C97D3A8B114D2E40EDF158C0AECFB).

    All well and good, but it tells me what should be the checksum. I can now update the url to use the checksum shown to make the url:

    I'm not sure but maybe this detailed message is coming if you're connected at the Apex and otherwise, it's show error message with no checksum more general?

  • couldn't update for windows XP / IE Script errors

    My OS is XP Professional 2003 and there has never been an automatic priority update Windows do not install so far. The update is KB981793. I looked and it is essentially an update of time thingy for the computer, however, since the first failure to load it keeps loading in my bar, next to my clock and tells me that the updates are ready for my computer and it is constantly the same one that fails.     I get an error message; It happens almost everytime I start any program.

    I use the A100 with XP o/s.
    There were no recently installed programs even if there was a recent update of Windows installed.

    It seems that some of your installed applications need a disc inserted correctly running.

    Are you using the original applications (no copy) and you have installed it correctly?

    By the way;
    I've goggled a bit and someone suggested to disable autorun on your CD-ROM drive.
    This solves this problem.

  • Satellite M40-129 Harddrive Bluescreen Error

    I got a M40-129 last year, created 2 Partitions and installed XP Pro SP2. Everything worked very well, but a few months I drive hard-error-Bluescreens. When I run Chkdsk afterwards, I get messages about bad securities Index or orphan data segments (translated from German). Normally I reinstall my laptop then go to a backup Image and all is well again. But these errors occurring weekly/daily now.

    I called the support, but I was told that the support would be only grab the laptop and see if the problem still occurs. But that's what I'm already doing. Is it possible to fix this?
