Function group with CLOB fields in the Select statement

I try to query our following sql database. Remove the Clob (a.description) field I managed. But I need the Clob (a.description) field. Here is my sql class
select  a.id_number, a.id_owner,  MAX (n.next_action_required)
KEEP (DENSE_RANK LAST ORDER BY n.modified_date),
MAX (n.modified_date) KEEP (DENSE_RANK LAST ORDER BY n.modified_date)
from table1 a, table2 n
where a.id_number = n.id_number
group by a.id_number, a.id_owner
I tried the following which works sometimes, but not always because the Clob field length (a.description) varies; anywhere from 10 characters up to 12 000 characters. I get a few drafts with the following and some where the text is cut off. I can not write the correct dbms_lob.substr function.
select  a.id_number, a.id_owner,  MAX (n.next_action_required)
KEEP (DENSE_RANK LAST ORDER BY n.modified_date),
         MAX (n.modified_date) KEEP (DENSE_RANK LAST ORDER BY n.modified_date) , DBMS_LOB.SUBSTR (a.description, 8001, 10000)
from table1 a, table2 n
where a.id_number = n.id_number
group by a.id_number, a.id_owner, DBMS_LOB.SUBSTR (a.description, 8001, 10000)
Help, please. Thank you

Maybe

select id_number,
       id_owner,

  • Is it possible to have several buttons send grouped with different fields in the subforms on a single page?

    Hello world

I have a form with two sections. Each section is a subform (the green boxes represent subforms in the screenshot) and each subform contains three required fields and a release button (the button submit to an e-mail address). The problem is that I can't seem to keep them separate. If I fill in the fields required in Subform1 and then click on the button 'Submit to regional HR', he took over the fields required in the subform 2. Is there a way to 'point' or 'group' these fields to each Submit button in their respective subforms?

I can not be understanding the appropriate function or expects subform correctly. I learned designer of the life cycle on my own and with the help of this forum. Thank you very much for your help. -Chris

    submit_different_subforms_question.png

I'm an amateur, but I decided to start helping as much as possible on these forums.

I had a similar problem in the past and found a solution. I can't say with certainty that it is the best solution, but since each button has only 3 mandatory fields, it's a workable solution.

So this is complicated but also somewhat simple solution that works. Please keep in mind my script experience is limited.

For the first submit button allow the script to remain in its natural state. Make sure that your email presentation is correct. You will create a second button which will be a standard button. Change the text to be the same as the text for the first submit button. Within this button, the click event, puts a script like this.

    (

    If

    Required.Field.1.rawValue == null or

    Required.FIeld.2.rawValue == null or

    Required.FIeld.3.rawValue is nothing

    then

xfa.host.messageBox = ("If you please fill all required fields")

    on the other

    Submit.Button.execEvent ("mouseUp")

    endif

Repeat this step for the second button on the subform.

now do the real hidden submit button and place the second button in its place. He will check the required fields have entered values and if they entered it will be then press the button to send real otherwise it will put in place the error message. This method requires that the mandatory fields are not marked as required by the value tab. They must be optional, if not built in scripts will interfere with the written order. This is a work around, but I found that it allows better control of the required fields. You can add a floating asterisk or perhaps a border coloured fields so that users are aware of what fields are mandatory.

I really hope this helps. I know this can be confusing, but I understand that sometimes it can be difficult to get a response, so if I can be useful, I'll try.

  • [JDev12c, ADF] How to get the value of a field from the selected line in af:table and...

    Hallo,

I want to double click on a line of an af:table to call a page that displays a form (based on a View object) with the details of the selected line.

I need to go to the second page the value of a field on the line that is selected on the first page.

How can I do this? In particular, how can I get the value of a field from the selected line? How can I call the second page on double-click on the af line: table?

    Thank you

    F.

Why would user, you need to pass a value of the line to the shape?

The framework selects the line you want to display in the form. All you have to do is to show the form with the selected line. It is the framework automatically as long as you use e vo even the same data control.

  • How to pass parameter in the function using the select statement?

    Hello

I had a problem. I can't pass as parameter to the function by using the select statement. But it can pass as a parameter using the "code". How can I solve this problem?

    For example,.
    Select * from table (SplitFunction ('HS750020, HS750021')) < < < this work.

    but

    Select * from table (SplitFunction (select LOT_NO in the TRACER_SEARCH_SCHEDULE where JOB_ID = '36')) < < < do not work.

Thank you for trying to help him. Thank you.

    Select * from table (SplitFunction (select LOT_NO in the TRACER_SEARCH_SCHEDULE where JOB_ID = '36'))< do="" not="">

    Try like this

    select * from table(select splitfunction(lot_no) from tracer_search_schedule where job_id='36')

Just make sure that your subquery returns only 1 row.

  • EXTRACT function can be used directly in the CASE statement WHEN

I wrote the following SELECT statement. The function 'calc_time_diff' is a stored function that subtracts two timestamps and returns the result to the total number of seconds. My DBA does not 'calc_time_diff' as a stored function, then, I replaced the third line (in bold) in the SELECT statement with this:

    COUNTY ( BOX WHEN (extract (DAY OF v_end_ts-v_st_ts) * 24 * 60 * 60) +)

You don't need a function defined by the user or the EXTRACT to find the difference between two timestamps.

return of two or more lines, using subquery on implementation day you can use only the single row function.

I tried to use a statement select count nested inside the original SELECT statement but without success.

    Jeff

You should be able to use a CASE statement for this in collaboration with the County. COUNTY does not indicate that null instances no I have not specified a part to the CASE ELSE (so the default value is NULL).

    COUNT(CASE ST.GENDER WHEN 'F' THEN 1 END) as Female_count,
    COUNT(CASE ST.GENDER WHEN 'M' THEN 1 END) as Male_count,

Note that you need to remove the Gender of your query column.

  • MV without ROWID specified in the select statement

    Hello

Can we create a ROWID specified in the statement select the DDL with out MV when we create a MV with 2 tables join.
It comes to my requirement but, apparently, this is not possible. Are there opportunities to achieve.

    Thank you
    Pramod

Can we create a MV that can be updated FAST with the ROWID specified in the select statement in the DDL when we create a MV with 2 tables join.

As mentioned previous you are best to check the documentation. Here is an excerpt from the documentation on this topic (emphasis added):

Limitation to fast refresh materialized views with joins only

Definition of materialized views with joints only and no aggregate queries have the following restrictions on fast refresh:

    * All 'General Restrictions on Fast Refresh' restrictions.
    * They cannot have aggregate or GROUP BY clauses.
    * The ROWID of all tables in the list must appear in the SELECT list of the query.*
    >

For example, if the problem is that when you describe the view you have ROWID and you don't want them there, then I suggest to implement a regular vision on top of the materialized view that hides these columns.

Can' are you use PIVOT here since you do not know from the start what values OTBOOKEDDATE. So use:

            max(
                case weekday
