Fusion account GFWL with Microsoft account

When I created the account you want to use in Windows 8, I used the same email address I had for my GFWL account.

I can access is no longer the GFWL account. Trying to connect in the results in me logging in with my Microsoft account.

Is the GFWL account now just dead, or there at - it a way to merge the two accounts?

It's very embarrassing.

I had actually used a different email initially.

I don't know how I was still able to login using my current email (or maybe I'm remember even that bad).

Maybe that I've linked my current email with my GFWL account, and it has been accepted when I logged GFWL, but not because it is now used for a new account. I don't know if this is the case of if it's still possible, but in any case, it is now resolved.

Edit: How mark this question an answer?

I can't do my own answer, but had to wait for someone else to decide instead?

Edit2: Wait, who has not answered the question in the title.

I do not want to merge the two accounts, but simply remove the most recent one and linking the former to my Live account.

When I made this question I had forgotten that the Windows Live and Xbox Live accounts were created separately and not are not the same thing, but are GFWL and Xbox Live accounts.

  • My computer won't let me connect to one of my accounts. The screen remains blue or said: "this product must be activated with microsoft" why is this?

My computer crashed on me and when I tried to reboot, the computer would not let me connect to my own account, nor my accounts of family members. I tried to use the System Restore tool, but the computer says that the menu command / I'm trying to use does not exist. I don't have the CD or the floppy to boot. When I try to log in to my administrator account on the computer says, "this product must be activated with Microsoft."  Can anyone help?

    Hello

If you are unable to connect to any user account then, how did you try the System Restore tool?

We will try these steps and check.
Step 1: Use know last good Configuration option and check.

Step 2: Check to see if the problem persists in safe mode. If the problem persists not in safe mode and then try to perform the clean boot.

I just had a call from emergency PC that says that my computer has been severely compromised.  A technician told that they are under contract with Microsoft to call and correct critical errors.  Someone had a call like this before?  I just ran a scan and it said that there is no virus.  I stopped the call because it seemed fishy to me.

It's a SCAM! Not to follow their instructions or advice and not to provide ANY information to them. Do not install the software on your computer and if you have done so, begin to cancel your credit cards immediately.

Because they use the internet lines and/or phone to complete their fraud, there may be federal agencies in your country who are interested in discovering their calls. Their report directly to the appropriate agency if you feel you can contribute to their arrest and the charges.

Microsoft do NOT pick up the phone and start dialing customers and never phones/e-mails asking for personal information or asking them to visit a web site! Please do not take into account these calls and hang up immediately.

Avoid scams that use the Microsoft name fraudulently

  • I received recent phone calls from someone who says they are with Microsoft

I received phone calls recently from a person saying they are with Microsoft and that my computer has been downloading unnecessary files.  They claim they know because the error and warning messages are sent to the Inbox of Microsofts.  I am reluctant to talk more with them.

How can I be sure of who's calling?  In addition, if it is true, how can I check my computer?

    Hello

Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

    Please see:

    https://www.Microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.

These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.
