  You can resolve many issues by restoring Logic Pro X back to its original settings. This will not affect your media files. To reset your settings preferences of the user to Logic Pro X to their original state, do the following:

  1. Logic Pro X to quit smoking
  2. In the Finder, select go to folder menu reach.
  3. Type ~/Library/Preferences in the field 'go to folder '.
  4. Press the Go button.
  5. Delete the com.apple.logic10.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you set custom shortcuts, it will reset to the default values. You can export your custom key as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro X user manual for details on how to do this.
  6. If you are having problems with a control surface in Logic Pro X, you can also delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file in the Preferences folder.
  7. Restart the computer.

  Note: If you cannot find the files listed above, you don't follow the instructions properly!

• Fusion 3 running in 32-bit mode only?

  I tried a clean install, I started in snow leopard 64-bit kernel, I tried the 32 bit kernel, I also tried to upgrade from version 2 to version 3.

  I have a new MBP, and fusion runs only in 32 bits, why is this?

  The UI manages settings and others, it is not processor intensive. The engine of VMware, vmware-vmx when you show all processes, is 64-bit native and it does all the heavy lifting and rendered graphic. In fact, we run in 64-bit on Mac 64-bit mode regardless of the chosen core.

• Command bar of fusion (top of screen) meets while mode full-screen Win XP vm

  I have looked around the blogs for a similar problem but haven't found any, maybe because I'm not using the right terminology, so please tell me the existing relevant documents or post it here. Thanks in advance for any help.

  I upgraded my Windows VM to Windows XP SP3, about two months ago, then updated my installation of Fusion to 2.0.1 a month ago. I use my Win XP VM to a programme on Access 2003 VBA and generally run in mode full screen to simplify the use of the PF keys, with the command bar top of page in auto-hide mode. The only other programs I run on my VM is Security Suite that comes free with Fusion 2.0 and Microsoft OneNote 2003, I use actively in taking notes that I work. Sometimes, I use IE to check the Microsoft security updates. Given that I've enabled auto-update from Microsoft, I rarely feel the need to manually check Microsoft Update. Almost always, I would have i-Tunes streaming background music on Mac OS X, and sometimes I would switch in Unity mode so I can start a browser in Mac OS to search for information on the web. Because I'm in development of access code mode, I sometimes cause program crashes of the window, not forcing me to restart my computer virtual when that particular problem surfaces. My preference of Fusion is configured to optimize the performance of the host, based on some tip I've read in this blog some time ago.

  Some time after XP SP3 installed and update of Fusion 2.0.1 top I believe VM fullscreen command bar randomly becomes unresponsive, leaving me with no way to access my OS X applications. However, my VM would still be sensitive if not, and I can always close. Usually, I stopped my WIndows VM, then merge and raise the Fusion and my WIndows VM. Since the command bar is usually in hide mode automatic when he becomes insensitive, he appears before the eyes and blocking application windows that I work with, so I know generally as soon as it happens.

  I think that I always had this kind of problem, but it doesn't happen often and I chalk up to the cost of working with a virtual machine, but now its happening too often I want to check if I did something wrong in the software upgrade. So, here are a few questions:

  1. my understanding is that VM Tools give me the ability to run in Unity Mode. The only documentation I've read on VM Tools for Fusion says that it need Windows XP SP2. I guess this note means that VM Tools for Fusion does not support Windows XP SP1. No problem, but are there any problem using the tools in the virtual machine with Windows XP SP3?

  2 when I upgraded to Fusion 2.0.1 recently, in the hope that it can clear up this particular problem, I downloaded the upgrade of the VMware download page. My question is: I have to reinstall explicitly VM Tools when I merge 2.0 to Fusion 2.0.1?

  The UI element that is at the top of the OS X Desktop is called a menu bar and you be a programmer, I'm surprised that you don't know something as fundamental as that.

• Focus fusion 5.0.3 problem unit Mode window

  I'm having a problem with the Mode of the unit in merger 5.0.3.  He appears in a few places, but the most annoying is in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.  Basically, the active window will lose focus when some tool tips or pop ups comes in the application.  When an intellisense prompt, the window loses focus, and I can type is no longer.  This allows to work in Visual Studio completely unbearable.

  Everything seemed to work in 5.0.1.  I tried 5.0.2 and it has not fixed this issue, and it seems to stay unchanged in 5.0.3.  I am attaching a video showing the problem.  (The youtube version was clear enough to see what was going on)

  He regularly and makes me crazy.  I went back down to 5.0.1 for now.

  My configuration is:

  • iMac mid 2011 (3.4 GHz Core i7, 16 GB of RAM)
  • VM is Windows 7 Professional, running Visual Studio 2010.

  I tried to submit a request for help, but it seems that since someone else in the office buys the software I can't send one of my account... so that's all I could think to do.

• Fusion 2.0 (question) Mac sliders mode full-screen.

  When I enter the mode full screen, I always get the OSX cursors instead of the sliders of the window. When I exit full screen, I recover the Windows cursors. A minor problem, but it can be real annoying after awhile. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Dragging several media in vertically stacked tracks clips in the timeline? Is this possible?

  Hoping that some Adobe Premiere Guru might be able to lend insight into what apparently should be a fairly simple thing to do... but despite scouring the web, I can't seem to find a glance of a solution for this.

  My neighbor (who, either by the way, I got to go with first CS5.5 as its NLE of choice as a result of uncertainty FCPX) working on a project of 'reality-style' where they have a massive amount of cameras working simultaniouisly hours and hours on end. think that the style of the Big Brother House.

  Essentially for every hour of the sequence, he creates a project in which all the multiple camera (MOV) of the images of this time are listed/linked to the thread in the project Panel. For example, for the TIME being ONE, it has images of all 20 cameras (or other) currently one that there are listed.

  BASICALLY what he wants to be able to do is to grab ALL the sequences of these different cameras AT the SAME TIME, drag them on the timeline, and when he leaves fall there, the video (and, conversely, audio) clips STACKED vertically, one above the other, each taking its own course in the timeline panel.

  Currently, of course, when he does the images organizes itself in the end-to-end scenario. In the case of my HOUR ONE, 20 example of CAMERA, this essentially creates a long clip of 20 hours, as unlike a clip of an hour with 20 tracks, stacked one on the other.

  As far as we can tell, have there is no shortcut to get there. I VAGUELY remember being able to do this in FCP (maybe?) so I'll be dazed and more than just a little disappointed if there isn't a way to pull this off in first.

  Does anyone have an idea if this mode to automatically fall of clips in the timeline as superimposed tracks is possible? It, literally, to save him hours and hours of work if he can understand the secret. And I don't feel as guilty for him after having turned on the creation of this special project!

  And if someone knows that it is NOT possible, it would be great to know as well. At least, we can put the concept of room one way or another.

  You can do this with the command sequence camera make multiple source in Premiere Pro CS6 (note that this has been posted before CS6 launch):

  1. Mark clips
  2. Select the clips
  3. Choose item > create sequence multiple camera Source
  4. Choose the style of synchronization, and then click OK
  5. Right-click on the camera sequence multiple source and choose > open in the timeline.
  6. Clips are now stacked inside a sequence

• Mode cycle with Autopunch

  I am unable to do with cycle mode autopunch to work properly in 10.2.0 logic.  I think remember it worked well with Logic 9.  The other post on this subject I see is from 2008.

  You have active files and you use audio (instead of noon)?

  If you are, there is a problem.  You can use them together, but not after the first (if I remember).

  workaround was to stop automatic punch, use the cycle bar and shorten the interval cycle that you want after registration.

  No - open the project tree, and you will see each recorded in this region. Just drag one you want on a new track in the arrange window.

  

• How to save on multiple audio tracks?

  I'm going by Apple Logic help to try and learn how to use it.  I am currently in the recording section, learn how to record on multiple tracks at once.  Here's what helps:

  Save on multiple audio tracks at once

  1. Do one of the following:
     • Choose file > Audio recordings overlap > Cycle Mode on > create titles and silent.
     • Choose file > Project Settings > save, then choose the Cycle > create titles and Mute from the pop-up menu, overlapping Audio recordings.
     • CTRL-click on the Record button in the control bar, choose Save settings from the context menu, and then choose Cycle > create titles and Mute from the pop-up menu, overlapping Audio recordings.
  2. Set the input source instrument or microphone for each track you want to record.
  3. Click on the button Activate in the track header of each track you want to record.
  4. Move the playhead to the point in the rule where you want to begin recording.
  5. Logic Pro includes a metronome, which plays a steady beat to help you play in time while recording. You can disable this active or disabled using the metronome button in the control bar.
  6. Click the Count button in the control bar so that the metronome play a preset count-in before the start of the recording. Note: For initial configuration, choose registration > plug-in software component count, and select a measure.
  7. Click on the record button in the bar control (or press R) to start recording.
  8. Start to sing or play your instrument. A new audio region appears on each of the active record tracks.
  9. Click on the Stop button in the bar control (or press the space bar) to stop recording.

  I did, but it does not work.  I created two tracks.  I go to a track and click the button Save, then go the other way and click on save, but when I click on the button Save on the Panel at the top, it records only to the last track, I selected the folder it does not save to the other channel.  It seems that as soon as I go to another track and arm to save, it disables the recording on the previous track.  Apparently, help left something in the process.  If anyone can solve this?

• Make the midi recording when the track is not selected

  Hi, asking for my friend and will try and find a solution when I get home, but...

  My friend (using logic 9.1.8) made some record with about 12 actors/singers alive. I suggested to him that he must save the midi for keyboard player (who is also the composer of all parts) as well as the audio just to give them some flexibility later. It is a great keyboard player and uses its own external keyboard. (i.e. not logic instrument). All the other singers/actors are all audio.

  So it is easy to implement but as such sessions can become a little hectic and although the midi for keyboard track is in record mode, the midi does not record unless the track is selected on the left. Sometimes, in the madness of him the entire midi track remains not selected and if the midi data does not get saved. Is it possible to routing in the environment where the midi will get recorded although the midi track is not selected? Don't forget, the midi track is always made armed.

• In Audition 3 MIDI tracks does not

  As of today, when I try to create a track MIDI in multitrack mode, nothing happens. I can import MIDI, but if I try to drag it to the timeline that hearing crashes with a runtime error. If I try to open a previous session containing a MIDI track, the "Open" dialog box stops loading halfway through, with the grey button "Cancel". I restarted the program and the computer, and the bug persists.

  The last time I used the MIDI in Audition was at the beginning of June, the date on which he was still working as usual. I'm on a Windows 7 laptop and use A3 for years without problem. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

  Unfortunately, it is unlikely that many people still use AA3 for lunch because it has been abandoned long ago. So unless you are very lucky, you're not likely to get many answers here.

  The only thing I can suggest is to rest your Audition 3 default settings. This you can do this by renaming the folder settings of AA 3 by adding something like .bak for the name of the folder. Hearing will recreate the folder with settings by default when you open then hearing. The folder can be found at "C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\3.0".

• Fusion Pro 8.1.1 VM hangs for minutes at a time

  Hi all

  I ran a virtual from Windows 7 machine that I've migrated to version 12.

  Recently, I run the virtual machine and it completely stops responding on a regular basis for periods of 1 minute. I stop hearing the hard drive is accessible, and it's like fusion itself does not receive cycles the Mac CPU.

  Finally the VM responds, for periods of 10 seconds to 30 seconds, and the computer freezes again.

  I tried to change what I can settings bit, but nothing seems to help... I don't know even where to start looking for the cause of this.

  The problem has been resolved. Apparently, the gel caused by Fusion, trying to get control of the DVD-ROM. I disconnected the virtual machine, and it now works normally.

• Volume of a track continues to change?

  Hi I started recently with the help of hearing to mix the outputs track. Years form came from the mixture in Florida and I am really enjoying hearing since I made the switch.

  I have a little trouble with one of my .wav tracks. Whenever I try to lower the volume on the mixer slider, it just automatically slides back up to an arbitrary decibel I never specified.

  Can someone tell me why it keeps this and how can I stop it? Otherwise, I'm really enjoying the program.

  FL there is a button on the specified mixer track the combination of an effect (such as reverb) or fundamentally how it hits the track, hearing has a similar feature. OI find that some of the plugins affect the good way for pretty strongly (Chorus to be exact) and I would make it less obvious.

  I suspect it is because you have your Automation track for the track involved in "read" mode.  If you make the track you want to work on a scale sufficient to show all that in the Panel at the left end, will be one of the low points control of tracks of automation that will likely say either off or read.  If you click the arrow next to the word, you will get other options including "write" which is what you want if you want to change levels and have the change to recall. You have the same option in the mixer window just above the attenuator.   BTW, to the left of the Panel is another arrow (to the right) where you can select the option to show the automation track so you can see what is happening in your automation.   Alternatively, you can automate things like Pan, some parameters on the effects, etc etc.   It is useful to have a play.

  If you don't want to just lower the level of the entire track, I might not bother with the mixer or... just automation using the Volume envelope (the horizontal yellow line on the track itself) and pulling it upwards or downwards can be a quick way to work.
