Fuzzy imports of PowerPoint

When I import PowerPoint 2010 or PowerPoint 2003 slides in Captivate 4, the blades are a bit blurry. I think it's because the PowerPoint presentation is 960 x 720 and I create a 1024 x 768 Captivate demo.

My screen resolution is 1024 x 768. I optimize my web browser, display the web page that I want to use in Captivate and press < Alt + PRTSCN > send it to the Clipboard. I have then create a new blank slide in PowerPoint and paste. Using this technique I end up with several PowerPoint slides which must become a Captivate demo.

I then create a Captivate project using the option "of MS PowerPoint'. The dialog box "Convert PowerPoint presentations" shows that the size is 960 x 720. When I click on the button "Preset sizes", it shows that it is the "PowerPoint Original project size." When I change to "1024 x 768 full screen", I get a message saying "the size of the PowerPoint presentation differ from chosen... size of the Captivate project. "When I go, I end up with Captivate slides that are a bit blurry.

How can I get clear 1024 x 768 screens Captivate imported from PowerPoint?

As noted the definition of PP size will be a better job: PP 2010 goto to the slide show tab, select the resolution and 1024 * 768.

As an alternative to keep private data private etc, you can also capture directly into Captivate, then place a text caption above the text to change and finally merge in the background.  The loss of quality of PP is resolved, and you can still achieve the goal of any personal or private etc.  This process is probably more than what you're doing.

[After a re-reading the original post]

You mention that it is quicker to do this in PP in Cp, but I suggest the following approach:

1 make the change to all places, you need to change the slide 1

2. Select and copy these

3 select slides a moment that have the same data

4 paste the slide, all objects are added in the same positions as the source

5. then 'Merge in the background.

If you use Cp5, then create an object style that had formatting depending on your text capture screen formats would be an easy way to keep this process through several slides and also projects (by exporting styles)

Having problems inserting JPG photos of 'Photos' Power point - they become much too dark after the transfer. Gamma-ing the JPG or upping lightness does not work. I imported the same impages using other PC and there is no problem with images in PowerPoint. The photos are A1 and taken on SLR cameras the top of the page.

Someone had similar probs? I am using Windows 7 on my Satellite L550

    Hello

Sometimes I have the PowerPoint user, but I've never had such a problem that pictures will get more dark after import in PowerPoint.

In your case, I recommend you to install the latest ServicePack for your Office suite. You can get it on the Microsoft Web site. Moreover, download also all patches for the version of PowerPoint you have.

If it doesn t work I would try reinstalling PowerPoint.

Finally and most importantly, I think you should ask Microsoft directly on this issue. I think that it s not Toshiba associated

  • Importation of PowerPoint in Captivate 9 text

From what I've read all the text imported from PowerPoint to Captivate is imported as an image.

I tried to change the text in the 'Edit in Microsoft PowerPoint', but it always ends with an error message or the plant or hanging - just really disappointed.

Most of the content we use for e-Learning is available in PowerPoint format and looks like I have to Cut ' paste (via Notepad) text of hundreds of slides — unless one of you smart guys can think otherwise?

Made me regret picking Captivate over the history

The good news is your assertion is not entirely correct.

The bad news is: text on the slides ARE the IMAGES AS IMPORTED, after being merged with the background and imported as a background SWF CP with timing as indicated in the Panel animation in PPT.

    Possible workaround:

Elsewhere in these forums, I did on how to extract graphic elements of a PPT by conversion to a PPTx and rename a zip and navigate through the folders of messages. You will be rewarded with graphics, you can drag the library of Cp and animate at will.

Make sure that your operating system (Windows or Mac), an office / version PowerPoint and Cp are up-to-date.  But there are incompatible versions.

  • CP8: import from powerpoint - keep the individual objects on the slide

I did an import of PowerPoint and chose the high fidelity, but it is always also bring the slide as a single object, so I can't manipulate objects on the screen. I thought that each form would incorporate as a smart form that I could handle individually. Is there a way to get there?

Indeed, nothing has changed on the import, you are not individual objects. High-fidelity means that animations etc will play with more precision. Captivate is not a PPT-plug-in as many users seem to think so. Ago real autour plugins if you think that a TPP can make a good e-Learning course (you think that I am not convinced that a presentation tool is a tool of e-Learning, sorry for that).

  • Background image import not PowerPoint correctly CP6

I imported a PowerPoint presentation in Captivate 6. All the images have been imported successfully... except for a background image. The blue background appears as white in both the preview and in Captivate.  It is a jpg - like all the others. It's the same thing when I saved this specific background image as a bitmap of the original psd Photoshop file - white in the preview and the Captivate slide.

Then I tried to save it as a png file. This time, he appeared in the preview in blue, but always present as a white in the Captivate slide. I can do to make it work? Thank you!

Thank you. I didn't do that, and I'll certainly keep it in mind.

However, I suspect now that the problem could have file size. I never looked at the size of the image in Photoshop until it happened and found that those who created it has 31 inches wide and about 20 inches in height. It was huge. So I reduced the size and images that had not worked earlier done suddenly. Thank you!

  • Can I add a button in Captivate 5 imported from PowerPoint?

I imported a PowerPoint in Captivate and add a button.  When the user clicks the button, it is supposed to open a URL.  When I publish the movie, nothing happens when I click on the button.  I tried this on several different computers.  I also tried to insert a blank slide in Captivate and adding the button to this slide and nothing happens.  I checked that I can add a button similar to a Captivate presentation which is not composed of PowerPoint slides.

I'd be able to do this?

    Thank you.

  • Need help: fuzzy imported files

    Hey all -

I imported some powerpoint (in JPEG format) files in Premiere Pro CS4.

When I put the slides in the source control panel (the one on the left, do not know if it's the right name), they look thin and crispy. However when I put them in the monitor program (right) and therefore in my sequence, they become a bit blurry. It's not terrible, just enough where it seems slightly off and the text is not clear.

The format of the pixels is 1.0 (square files) which I think is fair, because the correct appearance slides on the source control panel.

Anyone knows what is the cause and how can I solve this problem?

In any case, thanks for your help. It is much appreciated.

    Victor

    Victor,

We will study your project/sequence Preset - whichever you choose, when you have made a new sequence. What are the parameters?

You mention a DV tape, so I assume you're a Capture in PrPro through FW of miniDV tapes. Is this correct? If Yes, then your sequence should be PAL or NTSC DV and with NORMAL = 0.9, should be a Standard (4:3).

Now, let's examine the TIFF. When export you from PowerPoint, which is their pixel x pixel size? If much larger than your frame size of 720 x 480, you will get best results scaling them in Photoshop and then import into PrPro. PS scaling algorithms are better than PrPro, plus you get more control with parameters such as bicubic smoother and Bicubic Sharper - your source images could dictate a being better than the other. It's only once, where the bigger is NOT better.

Hope it gets sharper things even.

  • Overview and distort the imported publication Powerpoint

    Hello

I work with CP6.0.1.240, and I'm trying to import a pptx 2007 high fidelity.  The blades of great import in 1024 x 768 and everything looks great in the film and in the field of vision.  However, when I saw or that you post, I'm a slight distortion with the text (see image below for an example).  As you can see the 'a' was moved to the next line.  This does not seem like a huge problem, but it is undoubtedly affecting the layout of certain content.

One thing to note, that html5 does not have the same distortion affects. However, the publication in this way is not currently an option for me.

I've upgraded to PowerPoint 2010 and it's helped a lot with this problem.  Do not know what has changed exactly on the side of PowerPoint, but it is much better.

  • Fuzzy imported films

Just bought a new iMac and import all the files of past (from old iMac) in the new computer film and now everyone is so blurry in iMovie they are unusable. When the movies are seen in photo, they play well, the problem is just in the iMovie program. Could use a little help here please...

They are high definition?  Are they blurred only while playing in a project timeline?  If this is the case it may be simply due to the computer is not fast enough to render in real time.  Try sharing - shared file plays OK in Quicktime Player?

  • Fuzzy importing video to iPhone

I took some pictures of super-slo-mo 240 fps in my iPhone 6. I would like to import it and manipulate the FCPX (latest version).

I imported the media, then created a new project, with the video properties "defined according to first clip." Then I did drag the video file in the project. I got an error that says: "this video clip properties are not recognized. Click OK to use the settings below... "and it is pre-set at 60 p and 720 p HD 1280 x 720.

This isn't quite what I want, and I want to preserve the best quality as possible, so I changed it to 1080 p. (I don't know why he didn't know already, but...)

Once I started working with images, it is obviously blurry. When I export it as a master file (with default settings) and look at its results, it is extremely blurry.

    What I've done wrong?

IOpen the original clip in the QT player and report exactly what it says in the Inspector.

  • Windows Live Movie Maker plays a fuzzy imported .wmv file, which plays totally fine on Media Player

    Hello

I have Windows 7 and I'm trying to 'sting' 3 whole .wmv files in a movie. (You know, a very basic edition!) One of the files (once registered online or webinar) .wmv appears blurry on Live Movie Maker, but totally fine, clear plays in the drive Media.  Why?  Here are the properties of the file.

Can someone help me solve this?  Thank you!

Another possibility is that Movie Maker is just having trouble viewing clip Webinar.  Webinar clips using a different compression standard since they do not have a lot of changing information.  In addition, your screenshot, it is clear that the clip is in 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio, then maybe when Movie Maker it resizes to the preview, it causes content to blurs.  This is highly visible when you have the text slides where there are many small details.

As noted by J of volunteer work, you can try to convert and combine clips using Freemake Video Converter.  That could help.  In addition, you never said if you saw this blur in the preview, in the final movie, or both.  If the problem is in the preview, you could ignore it, especially if the video arrived at the final is very good.

  • Impossible to import PowerPoint file in Windows Movie Maker - codec error

I am tryping to import a PowerPoint file into Windows Movie Maker to burn it to a DVD, but I get a codec error

Cannot import the file C:\Users\Karen\Documents\2009 Fundraiser\Yellow Rose 2009.ppt MWP because the necessary codec to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to re-import the file.

How can I find this codec and install it?

    Blond highlights Hello,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft answers Forum.  Usually, when you try to play a video in Media Player if you do not have the right codec Media Player will automatically download and install the correct codec if it is available.  Since this is a Power Point presentation has video embedded in it?  If so, try to play the video file outside the Power Point presentation and Media Player will go out and get the correct codec if you are connected to the internet.  Here is an article from the Microsoft Knowledge base that explains Media player codecs and configuration to automatically download:

I hope this information is useful.
