• Import graphics in Keynote

  I'm creating a presentation for a customer in Keynote.

  They have a very specific color palette, I've used throughout the document.

  I created elements in the document that I applied the color palette in without incident.

  Everything is good so far.

  Unfortunately, every time I import the graphic into the document, the colors (of imported graphics) are everywhere.

  I'm generating content in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, both using RGB color spaces.

  I did some research and I understand that it's something to do with the monitor profile and that all imported in Keynote is converted.

  I've updated the profiles selected within each program in Adobe RGB (1998) profile in the display panel, but it does not seem to make a difference.

  Has anyone encountered this problem themselves?

  I'm doing something wrong?

  Any advice would be much appreciated.

  With Keynote, use generic RGB in System Preferences > monitors > color

  If the graphics are created specifically for the speech, imaging requests can also be set to generic RGB.

  Generic RGB is the color profile used in the screen and video from Apple applications, which includes the Keynote.

  Adobe RGB is designed for photographic images that will be printed on paper.

• How can I change the color of an imported graphic?

  I have been using Motion under and turned off for a while now and have never figured out how to change the color of an imported graphic. Can I change font colors but what on a jpeg logo imported. I need to just change the color of the face of the logo. I have no idea. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

• How to remove invisible reference to the imported graphic?

  I recently moved a book in a new folder, now when I open my accompanying document, framework asks for the location of an imported graphic, that it does not. As far as I know, I deleted this graph imported for a long time. I don't see a paragraph mark for this on the page the list of references gives for this. It is not visible on the body or template pages. No gray rectangle anywhere.

  How can I find and delete this invisible reference?

  John, I think if I were you I would recreate the terms of coverage. It shouldn't take too long-

  • Create a new file of FM.
  • Save the new file as "coverNew.fm" (or other)
  • With only these two files open on the FM band and the new file as the 'active' file, make file > import > Formats. Don't forget that the ' import to ' at the top of the dialog box specifies the old file. Import all formats. Save the new file.
  • If you have a text on the old file, click the cursor anywhere in the text and do Ctl + a to select all the text in the stream.
  • In the new file, click the cursor in the empty text frame and do Ctl + v to paste. Save the new file.
  • For the new graphic, draw a graphic image on the page where you want to be placed.
  • In the old file, select the chart by clicking on it - don't forget to click just above, don't do Ctl + a or you might get inadvertently old graphics too. Do Ctrl + c to copy.
  • In the new file, select the empty graphic block, you just create and do Ctl + v to paste. Save the new file.
  • Then, when you have your new file with all the transferred content, close the old file. Make file save as to name the new file the same name as the old file.

• Size imported graphics

  How can learn the best way to import graphics images in order for use to fill the full screen video? I would get the highest image quality on the graphic file to a sequence of HDV 1080 p 30 in CS4. My graphics are usually charts. Occaisionally, the source of the cards are draw programs that can display in svg, png, tiff and jpg. I can display as svg and then resize within the first without losing quality, or is there a more optimal method?

  This ARTICLE will help you get started on the sizing of your assets again in PS, before importation in PrPro. A few of the exact size will depend on what you need to do, but if you don't need a pan on a Zoomed image, I had size in "Preset" to your project to get the best results.

• Automatic integration of imported graphics

  Is it possible to configure InDesign to automatically incorporate imported graphics?

  It seems that if I want to do, I must integrate everything manually through the context menu of the links palette.

  PageMaker prefer a setting allowing graphs imported to auto-intégrer, but InDesign seems to lack this feature.

  I know that some people will wonder why on earth I would want to do and quickly will offer several reasons on why linking is the best practice. But not all workflows are the same. Mine is better suited to have everything integrated because I have are mainly about the business card layouts. Because these files are usually very few large, it makes no sense to have the logos in a separate file somewhere.

  In fact I am using graphics incorporated into my PageMaker files for ten years with no problems it either - until InDesign came it is!

  While I fully understand the value of binding - it just is not sensible in my situation.  I almost feel as if InDesign developers are forcing their ideas of workflow on me! Give back me my automatic incorporation, please!

  Rant side-someone ' can one suggest a work around?  I thought maybe script could save the day, but I have not found a way to do that, yet.

  There is not enough for me to write a script that does exactly what you need. I don't know if you want to incorporate all links, or only certain types of links, etc.

  But here's my first attempt.

  1. Create this folder "Adobe InDesign CS3\Scripts\Startup Scripts"
  2. Place the script inside.
  3. Restart InDesign

  Delete: delete the script and restart InDesign

• Wrong width for the imported graphics to frame 9

  Anyone else had problems with Framemaker detecting the wrong width when you import graphics?  For example, when I import a jpg of a button which must be 21 x 21 pixels, Framemaker displays the 24 PX width and height than 21px.  This translates into a broken graph.  If I adjust the dimensions of the chart in FrameMaker for the right size, then print the PDF, the right border of the image is disabled.

  I tried to capture the graph a variety of different ways, and I still feel the same results.  I can import the graphic into Captivate or Word and the sizing is correct.  Any ideas?  Thank you!

  I use FrameMaker version 9.0p237 as part of the Technical Communication Suite 2.

  I just tested this with a sample file dimensions 21 x 21, and you are perfectly right. FM9 live upwards the size (and default dpi resolution) for PNG and GIF files. I also tried BMP and TIF equivalents and they were ok. FM8 does not have this problem, it seems that Adobe has played with filters PNG and GIF a little (maybe to get rid of all the extra colors coming).

  For an import JPG or PNG to a 21 x 21 to 96 DPI, FM9 seems to think it is 24 x 21-110dpi. FM8 is good.

  For a GIF of the same import, FM9 think it's 22 x 21-75dpi. FM8 had right.

  Also, what is strange, is that if the dimensions are both even, for example 20 x 20 to 96 DPI, then FM9 gets it right of JPG, PNG and GIF. However, if the * first * dimension is odd, for example 21 x 20 it he gets hurt again as before, but if the second dimesion is odd, for example 20 x 21, it just gets it. VERY STRANGE!

  This is certainly a BUG.

  I suggest that you should use BMP or TIF for now OR try increasing your 1-pixel icons to make them the same size, for example 22 x 22.

  I also recommend that you do not use JPG for the latter, but the GIF or PNG, because you can produce unwanted artifacts in the JPG because of used lossy compression.

  I have problems bitmap graphics from Photoshop to import dryly in Flash. I use the highest quality PNG codec, but graphics appear jaggy, once they are in Flash.

  Can someone share tips for crisp graphics in Flash?

  My train for sizes is 992 x 692 or smaller, and I go to 100%, so not waiting not graphics to be sharp and clean to the maximum magnification...

  As Ned, you can adapt it in flash with very good results. It will be not as sharp to make the graphics to be perfectly sized for flash, but it will be either Pixelize.

  What you can do is drag the image on your stage and then (F8) convert to symbol. If you change the properties of the symbol, you will see a smoothing check box.

• Imported graphics appears on my content

  I have a huge textfield extending all across my page. Earlier I tried to import this graphic Illustrator in it, but it manifests itself on my content as oppose to above or below. I tried a paste up well, but that has not worked. Any ideas how I might solve this problem?

  OK, I see the problem.

  You have defined a fixed attack for the text. Your graph is considered as just another character and is inserted with its lower edge on the baseline. If you used automatic spacing key maturities adjust for this line and the following text should be pushed down.

  A way to deal with this would be to apply the dressing to the chart, then select it and drag it down on the line. If you have a large number of them, you can make a style of object for them.

  You mean like the refresh from scratch?

  No, I don't have the figures for the chart. Most of the time I start with something that has been stuck in a Word from Excel file. If I can get the numbers, then it is usually easier to just remake the chart in Illustrator using graphical tool Illustrator. But without the numbers I usually end up copying and pasting from Word to Illustrator and then manipulate (drawing a) graphic of what I want to (change the fonts, character, STROKE, color, size etc. and then resize it to final print size and then resize the type even once).

  I don't know what you mean by "dealing with the actual graphics in Indesign. InDesign is not a graphical tool. Similarly, I don't know what you mean by vectorize. Create outlines is a way to convert the type of vector art. A graph is already (or should be) vector art (with a small cast type).

• Internal error - writing of imported graphics

  We packed the Framemaker document and the last time we used it was in 2007.
  Now, we are on a new version of the software and need to update the manual in Framemaker.
  When I open my saved framemaker documents I get an internal error occurred during writing of graphics imported into this document.  Report this error to Adobe Technical Support.
  I can't make changes or save my Framemaker documents.
  Anyone know what I can do to get rid of this error?

  It is a well known for more than a year... Since shipped SP3 problem. It contains a security fix that broke the import OLE mechanism, which is what you use to import a slide as an object.

  You have two options to solve the problem - update to FM 9; 9 uses a different mechanism to import OLE that seems to work well. (Given the inherant OLE desquamation.)

  Or convert your graphic slides by saving outside of TPP or doing screen clings and then import in the doc of FM as graphics referenced.

• Fuzzy imported films

  Just bought a new iMac and import all the files of past (from old iMac) in the new computer film and now everyone is so blurry in iMovie they are unusable. When the movies are seen in photo, they play well, the problem is just in the iMovie program. Could use a little help here please...

  They are high definition?  Are they blurred only while playing in a project timeline?  If this is the case it may be simply due to the computer is not fast enough to render in real time.  Try sharing - shared file plays OK in Quicktime Player?

• Fuzzy importing video to iPhone

  I took some pictures of super-slo-mo 240 fps in my iPhone 6. I would like to import it and manipulate the FCPX (latest version).

  I imported the media, then created a new project, with the video properties "defined according to first clip." Then I did drag the video file in the project. I got an error that says: "this video clip properties are not recognized. Click OK to use the settings below... "and it is pre-set at 60 p and 720 p HD 1280 x 720.

  This isn't quite what I want, and I want to preserve the best quality as possible, so I changed it to 1080 p. (I don't know why he didn't know already, but...)

  Once I started working with images, it is obviously blurry. When I export it as a master file (with default settings) and look at its results, it is extremely blurry.

  What I've done wrong?

  IOpen the original clip in the QT player and report exactly what it says in the Inspector.

• Import graphics, unexpected swap

  Hi, I have 2015.2 run on win7.

  I have a character to cut made animation animate as a graphic, inside there is a reversal of the character with a large number of graphic symbols, like hand arms legs feet eyes blink and so on. the file is called TA.fla
  In the library of ALL the symbols are in a folder called ALBA.

  I have another fla (walk.fla) created after TA.fla, with a few of my character, to make the market, market cycle we take the character of TA.fla and we made animations.
  Keep exactly the same element name.

  The element of the walk.fla are in a folder called CYCLE.

  So far so good.

  We place the character of TA.fla in walk.fla;  NO popup appears on the conflicts of duplicates, so apparently not there is no conflict.

  Now in the library inside the walk.fla, there are 2 folder CYCLE and ALBA.

  We expect to have 2 sets of separate components (the one inside ALBA, one inside the CYCLES), but for some reason any animate left a number of graphics ALBA for CYCLE, without asking.

  What I want, is to keep a copy of each item in its how folder, to be clear I want 2 symbols i ALBA HEADS a CYCLE.

  In the past, in flash CC his works as I want, but now it seems that animate "recognize" graphics as "source" and automatically take from one folder to another.

  The moved element are the graphics card that does not change, as eye blinks or others.

  I would like to know how to say keep animate ALL items in a folder, so I can have, for example, in the walk.fla library 2 head symbol an ALBA record a record CYCLES. Even if are identical, I want that it separated.

  Hi m, I solved thank you, I did essentially a script jsfl that rename all library items with the addition of a suffix '_copy' and added another one who withdraws the name of '_copy' again, this things "simply" solve the problem. Questions I've heard was the fact that I have to change the name of the elements (it is not mandatory the name change just edit Likei dd with the script).

  You are right the assets in folders usually should not give conflict, but at least I solved.
