  It's the hard drive.

  You need to go to Device Manager, and then click to expand the category of DC/DVD player.

  If the name of the dvd player does not have a BD in the model, it is just a standard dvd player and cannot play blue ray discs.

  Try to check the advanced boot options to solve your problem by;

  By clicking on the Windows Start 'Orb', then in the bar look for msconfig and press enter
  The "System Configuration" window opens on the screen
  Click on the tab "Boot".
  Click on the 'Advanced Options' button and then uncheck the 'Maximum memory'

  Click 'OK', click 'Apply', ' OK and finally click "restart."

• 650 HP laptop with Windows 7 32 bit Home premium RAM problem

  Hello.

  I recently purchase a new HP650 notebook that came with Windows 8.  I have this wiped and reinstalled windows 7 32 bit edition Home premium and downloaded all the drivers/software relevant on the HP site.

  However, the machine is supplied with 4 GB of RAM, including the BIOS see' good sas.  Windows 7 recognizes that 4 GB but it says that only 969 MB is usable.

  There is nothing of configurable in BIOS for the use of video memory or information about the reserved addresses.

  I am aware that 32 bits will use about 3.5 GB but wow can get this machine to use all 3.5 GB?

  Any advice would be apreciated.

  I suggest that you uninstall the Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit) and switch on Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) version to treat memory problems.

  The Microsoft Windows 7 activation key on the certificate of authenticity you have for the 32-bit version will work with the 64-bit operating system. The caveats are that you can have only a single installation active with the license key at a time and you must have an installed processor that is capable of 64-bit OS.  You will find that the 64-bit version is far superior to the 32-bit version for stability. Of course, there is the increased ability to recognize more memory installed up to limits of the motherboard.

In addition, extend your Application and install The Application Dell Quickset.

  If your laptop is the Intel 5 series chipset, the max memory is 8 GB.

  The service manual indicates your PC a series Intel 5 (HM55) chipset (Chapter 1, page 2)

  If it has the Intel 6 series chipset, the maximum memory is 16 GB.

  Normally, if the PC is shipped with processors intel generation second, it can take 16 GB of memory.  Your i - 5 450 is an Intel 1st generation of processor.

  The information you read on this link you posted affect how the operating system memory can answer, not how much memory material can respond.
