G62 - 320ca double beep

Recently, this laptop has started to randomly take a double beep. Sometimes it happens a few times a day, and sometimes it happens at all.  I don't know if it's the speakers, because it doesn't happen often, and I have not noticed still occur with its judgment.

The laptop works always normally, no errors or anything weird. Anything on the beeps that I found was on boot, so I don't know how to look for help on this.

Thank you

    Hi guys,.

I have a Tecra M1, which starts with a double beep, which continues for almost a count of 28 or 30. At the same time between the power lights and the battery light flashes to the rhythm of 6 seconds on and 6 seconds off. Nothing else happens.

Where can I get information about such error codes only displayed by these symptoms?

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hello

Unfortunately there is no public record of these codes. What happens when you try to start your Tecra without battery and connected to the power supply current only

What I know for sure, is that when the microcontroller detects certain defects in the power supply flashing code will be sent. You can not do anything alone. Contact the partner Service of your country and you ask what is the best solution.

    Hello Larso

Did you install own OS or you are using already preinstalled at the factory?

In my opinion these things should not happen, and if I were you I would dealer and him to confront these issues. The device is new and before starting any kind of troubleshooting check that with garage.

The only thing you can try is to preinstall unit with recovery media. On this way the OS will be own pre-installed and you can check if the problem persists.

When I try to start the system I get a quick double beep and a message on the screen says "this bios is exclusively for Acer only" Copyright 202-2011 Acer Inc., but I can't enter BIOS using Delete or F10. What should I try to get into the BIOS or get the system started?
There is no disc in the DVD player and any connected USB disk. That means a double beep? I tried to use P2 mouse and keyboard and USB mouse then KB but still 2 beeps. Most computers have 1 beep at startup upward.

Well, I gave up trying to solve the MB. Instead, I just bought a new MB of Ebay, it costs $72 but was worth it. I installed the MB easily and it starts right up normally with just 1 quick beep, BIOS opens and everything works except that I had to order a new Acer E-recovery disk to reinstall Windows 7 but it's worth the $19 to have the original software from Acer for this particular PC. I always tell people to keep the system disks because you always in the future need, but most of the people who bring in it PC always loses, lol. Well, for those of you who responded to thank you for the advice.

  • Inspiron 546 double beep, orange, no video, flashing continues with the new ram

    Hello

A few years ago my girlfriend's dog struck his computer on the ground. It is that big of a fall, but ever since, while the computer will not start.

I have described the events here-> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120322170711AAmNz9o a few years ago. Never, I solved the problem.

I finally had time to purchase new ram that matches the specifications (DDR2 / 800 mhz) and I'm still having the same problem.

    • AFTER two beeps repeating and flashing lights
    • CPU fan comes on
    • No video

I bought new RAM, tried the individual stick in each housing always without success, tried a new monitor, new vga cable.

I am all of these ideas. Would it be possible, it's a motherboard problem? I do not see how, given that the motherboard seems operational with all LEDS work and fans. Maybe the slots where the ram is going have been damaged? I don't know, it doesn't seem likely, because the fall was not that big of a drop of water.

Thanks for any help in advance

    -Nick

    Hi Nick,

The diagnosis could be executed if the memory is not the issue, and after emptying the residual power, you are able to get the display; However, in the case of a failure of memory, you get to any screen.

As known good memory sticks give the same results, it could be the memory slots on the motherboard does not detect not memory modules.

The motherboard has 4 connectors of memory, and you can try to connect the memory to a location at once to see if one of the ports work if not yet tried.

Please do not hesitate to answer for any further assistance. I'll be happy to help you further.

  • My left shift key beeps twice when you press on--NOT STICKY KEYS

My left shift key does not work. The law works fine. When you press it, it sounds twice. Has Ive restore my computer to an earlier point and that did not fix the problem, any more than to disable and turn off StickyKeys. The key itself is sensitive, it leads me to believe that it cannot be the entire keyboard. Any ideas would be useful.

BTW, I am running Windows 7 on a laptop Asus U43F

    1. See manual ASUS [service] to see if there is any special significance to it. http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/p/post.htm I thought, but it seems not applicable since it is not starting, it is when running.
    2. check the sticky keys for accessibility-related technologies starting with F1 for help. There are a number of them. start going through one by one to see if something is on. You may have accidentally market something (there are combinations of keys that do this). Control Panel, display small icons, accessibility.
    3. buy a $5 or $22 USB keyboard. IBM makes a mechanical keyboard nice $79, classic, I believe to be a joy to type on (they make them for IBM). http://www.pckeyboard.com/page/category/UKBD
    4. Plug it in
    5. Try the left SHIFT key
    6. If she still double beeps {is your installation of windows or something in the laptop, not your keyboard. you can try reinstalling windows using a repair, which is less expensive, you need to reinstall your programs and drivers, but you keep your data. you can keep this configuration, my mother a.} otherwise, {hardware of the laptop may be in need of repair could cost between $200 (replace keyboard)-800 $ (motherboard).}

There are more expensive mechanical keyboards, but they are for games.

  • Roger tone "Beep" after the audio file

I have a question; I got files of VO that have been recorded on hearing 5.5 and 6, and they have a "roger beep" (maybe the best way to describe it) between each 'holding' sound used as an indication of separate or stop a recording of this script before going on the other. It's actually a double beep beep like a walkie talkie when you release the button send/transmit. I googled the effect but only Protools seems to have a record that... Can you help make me wiser?

The closest you can get to that is to use the dough Mix that you can set insertion and a file. Once you've done when you can F3 to repeat the action everywhere where you stopped recording or where you have placed the playback cursor.

Alternatively, if you can live with a single beep you can generate a short tone in the Generate/effects/tones and then save it as a favorite by clicking on the icon star in the component generate. You can then assign a keyboard shortcut to this favorite to be able to insert the beep whenever the playback cursor is located.

  • Satellite A200 starts more (Vista preinstalled)

    Hello

Turned on my laptop today. Has passed the screen toshiba but then nothing. Did the following:

1 switched OFF and hit the function (2) button on the screen Tosihiba.
    2. restore default - Save and Exit values.

Then switched on again and now I get a double beep and a cautionary: 0251 checksum of CMOS bad - default configuration system used.

Is there anyway that I can get the thing to boot. I saved most of my data and I did the recovery disks, but there are a couple of files stiil there that I would have.

The laptop came with Vista pre-installed. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

This problem can be the cause of various reasons. Maybe is CMOS battery fault or weak.
What you can try is to connect your laptop to the power supply and leave at least 24 hours. Now battery CMOS will be loaded and then try to check if the laptop starts properly.

If this message will be shown again and again I fear, you need professional help of Mr. contact Toshiba service and ask for help. I imagine that they will replace the CMOS battery.

  • Motherboard model H535 failure - the type of machine and the serial number invalid after replacement

Does anyone know how to set the new Type of Machine and the serial number after a motherboard for a replacement model H535?

The motherboard has recently failed on my model H535 (7 months after the expiration of the warranty - thanks, Lenovo). No local garage would agree to replace due to its nature of owners (thanks, Lenovo). I spent about four hours on the phone being bounced into back-and-forth between the many support staff (usually combined) Lenovo in sales, technical support, support of parts of IBM and various other departments (thanks, Lenovo), which one has suggested that I might have to try to find a motherboard on Ebay or Amazon for my computer in less-than-2-year-old. However, I finally get to someone at Lenovo, which has been able to sell a motherboard - for 2/3 of the cost of the original computer.

Now, I installed the motherboard, and it works. However, during each boot, I get a POST with two beeps error which reads as follows:

00CE error: Machine Type and serial number is INVALID

Start of manufacturing sequence is taken if no selection is made

I presume that the BIOS on the new motherboard must be programmed with the right Type of Machine and the serial number of my computer. I've read various things on the Internet about what to do, as updating the BIOS (I can not even find a BIOS under "downloads" of support for the H535 - thanks, Lenovo model), using WinPhlash (I apparently need one kind of BIOS ROM file to make it work, I don't have), getting a Lenovo hardware maintenance disk for my model (which apparently isn't available for other special people only me - thanks Lenovo), etc.

The waiting time for Lenovo support are ridiculously long, and almost every customer support person is ridiculously uninformed on the difference between one of their computer models, and even less their motherboards (thanks, Lenovo). I am amazed and extremely frustrated. It shouldn't be rocket science.

On a side note, I initially bought the computer from Staples with a credit card with extended warranty protection, which means I can get a refund for repair. Although the motherboard came with a packing list, no Bill has been provided by Lenovo, and I couldn't make them send one - or maybe even with success to explain what a Bill is (thanks, Lenovo).

Well, Lenovo support was useless, and any alleged authorized suppliers were in fact still suppliers or could help with my problem. But I was finally able to fix it myself. Once I found the right piece of software, it has been fixed in less than a minute.

My BIOS is by American Megatrends, and I discovered that they have a set of utilities that includes a called AMIDEDOS. It is intended for manufacturers to be able to change the strings of text stored in the BIOS for things like the manufacturer, product name, Version, number series, UUID, SKU number, family, etc., that is what I had to do. It is not intended for use by consumers, but it's there.

When I ran the "DMIEdit.exe" program AMIDEDOS (clicked and ran as administrator from 10 Windows) and click on "System information" from the list, I saw "Product Name | STRING | Invalid' and ' serial number | STRING | NOT VALID ". The other fields appeared to have valid entries. I double-clicked on the fields valid and changed their "H535 model" and the serial number of my computer, respectively and then clicked on "Update all" at the top.

Much to my surprise, he reported that he had successfully registered the new information. And, perhaps even more surprising is the fact that, when I rebooted, the double beep and the warning about the type of computer not valid and serial number have disappeared. In addition, the BIOS showed I had entered the new values, and the 'Manufacturing Boot Sequence' option (I understand can be much slower than a normal boot) had disappeared.

Again, I'm a little surprised simple it was actually solve the problem once I got the correct software, or Lenovo part nor American Megatrends apparently offers to the owners, and it took hours and hours of research and research to understand. Use this information at your own risk, however, as playing with BIOS apparently can lead to problems not easily solved. That said, the modification of these text strings seems relatively safe.

I will mention that I also ended up changing the method of "LEGACY" to "UEFI" boot in the BIOS after noticing that the selection.

  • HIT A SIGNAL SOUND ON HP PAVILION DESKTOP 1207

I have a HP PAvilion 1207 and I inevitably get a double beep with 5 to 30 seconds between them can someone help. Also, windows will not update keep receiving error code 80070490 do not have a backup drive with my backup will not work.

It would seem that you have a failure of the circuit of parity.

Remove the RAM sticks and use at a time and reboot, one of the sticks can be bad.  You can also download and run Memtest86 on free edition will take a long time to run.

    http://www.Memtest86.com/

If not resolved, it may be a problem with the motherboard and suggest you take the computer to the shop for advanced diagnostics.

  • Laptop turns off keyboard

    Hello
My laptop has stopped letting me use the built-in keyboard. I wasn't sure if the problem of hardware or software, so I connected an external USB keyboard.   It worked, then it is is arrested after a re-start, it worked again (external keyboard that is) but I noticed, it stops again sometimes after I close a program by clicking on the X (quickly a close symbol) with the mouse and then makes a beep or a double beep.  And sometimes I have move with just your mouse.   The keyboard edge doesn't´t ´work at all yet.  And sometimes after a reboot external is not authorized to run.

I guess it from the tone, something works actively while I use the computer, but it has clevelry off the Board for good keyboard.

Since I Don t know if it's a hardware problem or software/virus, is there anyway I can get Vista to help me locate what going on?

    Thank you
    Carl

    Hi CarlBrazil,

    Thanks for posting your answers.

Like reading, the beginning of this post that it sounded as if there might be liquid spilled in the keyboard circuits, however, I would like to examine all possible cause before solving it as collateral, unless the guarantee and information must be submitted to your hardware vendor to check the keyboard this case.

    1. your keyboard type can be set to a language other than the one you want to use.

(You can customize your keyboard for a specific language or format by changing the keyboard layout. The layout controls, the characters appear on the screen when you press the keys on your keyboard. Some input languages have several keyboard layouts; others have only one. For example, you can change your keyboard type to the English QWERTY format to the English Dvorak format. After you change the layout, the characters on your screen may not match the characters on your keyboard. )

Here is a link to troubleshoot the keyboard language - http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/867f3a7c-0e7d-4e10-b947-a63148f5df081033.mspx#EAE

    2. you can sticky fingers setting together on the design of your system.  (Click on StartORB / Control Panel / click clock, language, and region / click on regional and Language - Options you can enable or disable sticky keys here.)

If it's on, I recommend you turn it off.
