• Gallery of filters not taken in charge?

  I have the evaluation version of months of CC in Photoshop.  I am trying to perform an Action and I am coming up with a "Gallery of filters" not supported error.  I looked in the section filter of photoshop and this option in gray.  Is not available because it is a trial version?

  Please make sure that you are working with an image of 8bits/channel.

  Select Image > Mode > 8-bit/channel.

  If this is not the case, see check it your action for this conversion.

  Go to the Photoshop preferences, then on the performance tab.

  From there please click on advanced settings, change the drawing on 'Basic' mode and uncheck the option for "Open CL" once, then try with a Jpeg file.

  I could swear that I had 'Gallery of filters' filters available (artistic brush strokes, sketches...) CS5 64-bit. But tonight I realized that I can't see them in CS5 32 bit, not in the 64-bit version. Is this normal?

  Thanks, I was sure that they should be there, but since I don't use them often, I was in doubt.

  I can't think of anything I did to remove the filters Gallery - I'm really intrigued on how he could disappear (?). I have assumed that the 32 and 64-bit version of the 8bf file would be different, but wanted to give it a try just in case...

  After having lost some time trying to find the 64-bit "gallery.8bf filter" online, I decided to reinstall everything CS5 and Yes, just as you say, now the filters are there. It's a good thing that reinstall CS5 somehow intact keeps your preferences, workspace and plugins 3rd party! I just had to run the Adobe update and everything is back to normal.

  As you seem to have guessed, the filters Gallery is not available in 32-bit or 16-bit mode. You can convert your 8 bit with Image file > > 8 bit Mode and go on your merry way.

  It was a business network firewall exception. I don't know the details, but if you lose your filters, contact your IT.

  It is a question of 'cloud', it never happened with stand-alone Photoshop in all my years. Thanks to Adobe supports for the time spent trying to understand this.

  What mode are you? Some filters are only 8 bits, some 8 or 16 and a few are aware of 32 bits. The color mode can also make a difference.

  These filters should all work in an 8-bit RGB image, so probably time to try to delete the preferences file, which usually fixes things when Photoshop gets his panties in a twist.  Close Photoshop and hold down the shift, Ctrl, Alt keys when you restart Photoshop.

  The mode of what color is your document?

  These filters work best if your color RGB color and 8-bit/channel mode: Image > Mode.

  Apparently I needed to market the eyeball in the layers of filter Gallery palette. I don't know when this feature has been added. I don't remember being able to activate / deactivate it. I'm sorry if you've been racking your brain to understand this!
