Game of puzzle blackBerry Smartphone Service book

Forum greetings... I've always had a lot of help here with my "BOLD" and cutting with a torch comes with a new set of problems. million thanks for all those who have helped before and all that tried and took there time to read this post and many others.

I am with a carrier called Etisalat Egypt, 2 days ago, I found a retailer that sells at & t phones claiming his open, so I said what marked the hell I'll try my SIM etisalat Egypt and if I get a "invalid sim card" then its coastline... .and if it worked then I would buy it, and I turned on with my SIM inside he agreed and I saw the name of the carrier on top as a normal device tried a few calls and they crossed flawless... .He never asked me for a "network MEP code" or any other kind I thought open sound and bought.

next day I called the carrier my and activated my unlimited plan BIS, I sent my self a pin to ensure message than the active service and I received it, also, I've added a few contacts to my BBM and we chated am so that the service is online... .but then I tried to launch the browser and it shows a message "no browser configuration contact service provider to send service directories.

and that's where the puzzler... .my service provider claims (Etisalat Egypt) that this vendor id (102) does not work with their network and all related services BIS should not and won't work!

and since it is Egypt I feel that they don't know what they're talking about to because I have already established that the BIS service works and BBM and PIN messaging is functional and that the question is associated with service book... BUT THE CARRIER IN SUCH A COUNTRY DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IS A SERVICE BOOK ENTRY!

I'm sure that if there's someone who could shed some light on what is happening on its going to be here in the forums.

Stand-by for weighing to detailed non-automatique operation because I don't have the camera on me right now.

Thanks in advance for just take the time to read this long post.

Omar

never mind I got it working here is how:

First, I put my sim card data plan in my BB Torch and added my emails and registed in a network in my case Etisalat. Then I took the torch and put it in a different BB that I used my 9000 "BOLD" where can I use my data sim card. I waited for 6 minutes and waited until I was able to use the browser on my BB Flip, then I went to Options, advanced options and Table of host routing, then you press the key menu, one with bb sign little and pressed register now. After that I got the message saying: I was enrolled in a wireless network, I went to Options, books Service, and inside this folder, I pressed and held ALT while I typed the letters sbeb Yes sbeb it you should see legacy SB restore active just press ok and then connect to Desktop Manager and back up only the service books , you can choose what you want to return to the top in the custom settings just select the Service books and write browser configs for torch so that you know than to use.

Then, I took the sim card from my BB "BOLD" and put in my flashlight, once the lit torch, I went to Options, device, Service books and in the folder I typed again all by pressing ALT sbeb like I did before and press ok. Then connected the torch to the Desktop Manager and restored the file that you create with the configs of browser name for my flashlight, then I turned off the torch and when I turned now, here, I could use my browser.

credits for this solution, go to "otto68", I just have it published for people with the same problem.

good so im a new user for the blackberry storm and I searched through the service book... I know that some things are important from the looks of what I have on the list.  but I'm curious to know if I delete anything I don't use or want on my phone, like the tones of the ASBL, a looser radio, Flickr, AIM, YHO, GT, WLM, Blackberry maps, etc... all the things that I do not have any affiliation,... could adversely affect my phone if I delete those out... or not?

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

If you delete these unnecessary service books, they will just get pushed to your device.

Do not worry them, they take up very little space.

    Hello

Can someone please tell me how to send my device directories please?

    Thank you

Hi, welcome to the Community Forums

Service books are supported to the top (I think) on your local network providers servers (they are here in South Africa at least), you can ask them (phone or text usually) but I do not think you are able to SEND your service books to anyone - at least, no research, I did not suggests this is possible.

  • Reconciliation of Smartphones blackBerry and service books missing

  • Message blackBerry Smartphone service not configured

Although I have set up my email on my Bold 9000 and I received mail ok, when I want to answer I get a message "no message services configured. You will only be able to save the project. What have I done wrong with the installation?

    Hello!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS lines for these accounts.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone book

    Hi all

My Blackberry 8120 comes by mail, now I'm at a point where I need to transfer all my contacts from my old cell (Motorola Razr) I had for 3 years.

Note: I use the prepaid T-Mobile service.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

A few things to discuss... so bear with me...

    (1) contrary to others how things, RIM does not provide desktop PIM. Others force you to use their PIM and only their PIM. RIM provides a driving software that works as a bridge between your PIM and the BB. See this compatible PIM KB:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

    (2) RIM provides a device switch Wizard to migrate from another SmartPhone to a BB... but only for compatible devices. See this KB:

    • KB05459 How to use the switch device Wizard to switch to another smartphone to a BlackBerry smartphone

    (3) If your old phone is not compatible with the wizard, then RIM more offers the possibility to import ASCII and CSV files. See this KB:

    • KB04312 Create and synchronize with an ASCII export file
KB11194 How to import contacts from a CSV file to the BlackBerry
    • Sorry, but RIM does no research on how to get your data from your old device and in ASCII format or CSV... it is a function of your old device.

So your choice is, IMO, to continue to use a desktop PIM for your data (and you should, IMO)... then choose a compatible PIM (from above). Then download your data from your old device and the PIM Office. Next, configure the BB to sync with the PIM:

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry smartphone address book transfer

Help!  I just upgraded from a Curve 8310 to a new Curve 9360, but my contacts has not been transferred to the new device.  When I went on my PC to transfer my last 8310 backup (.ipd file), the computer has more freedom to open this file.  How can I get my contacts from this file to my new BlackBerry?

Open the BlackBerry Desktop Software > device > restore and choose 'Select data' and only the address book.

  • BlackBerry smartphone address book RSET wiped all contacts not only most unwanted

    I'm on a v5.0.0.681 running Curve 8520.

I recently added an account of electronic mail for my wife. Adding, authorized contacts to be synchronized in.  After deleting the e-mail account, his list of contacts remained (all1700 of them) flooding my contacts.

I read on these forums using RSET in address book Options would remove the list. He has done, but also deleted all my contacts.  There is no back upwards on a PC or on my SIM card.  I can't even add contacts manually because they refuse to register.

Any ideas on how to retrieve my contacts, or at least to allow them to be re - enter manually?

    Thank you

    I myself have solved now.

The problem was that making the RSETE he got rid of BB phone's address book. Actually, address book has not been installed.

    I followed http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB2...

I have my contacts back too, as they have been synced with my e mail contacts account.  I still have the issue of the removal of all the contacts in my e-mail account that I don't want on my phone.

BB should be better caveats on the use of the RSET

  • BlackBerry smartphones «Service not enabled for this handheld»

Okay, so I try to connect to AIM and MSN/WLM, but I get this message: «Service not enabled for this handheld» I'm honestly not very fluent in the language of the phone and I'm new to BlackBerry. So if anyone can help me it would be really appreciated. My service provider is T-Mobile, and I don't have a plan unlimited domestic Messaging. As far as I know well, who should have no impact on whether or not I can connect, so I don't know what to do.

You can get them to agree. That's THEIR problem. There is NOTHING you can do to make it work. Webmessenger is a third-party instant messaging client. You can download it directly to your phone by going to webmessenger.com on your phone. You can use AOL, yahoo, MSN, ICQ, google and jabber. It is not as "pretty" as the other instant messaging services, but it does the job.

  • BlackBerry Smartphone services even different bb phone?

    Hello

I'm new to bb and I travel to different countries, all the time.

Is it possible to have bb different services with different carriers in different countries, but use a phone?

    Thank you

    Daniel

Daniel, yes it is still more smooth in my opinion - I did the same thing with other BlackBerry and the change PIN function... I didn't know that you had another device or I would have suggested that.

So yes, when you enter the "old device' PIN, it erases the recording on your work device for use on another BIS record on a separate stand.

  • BlackBerry smartphone address book Sync & office 6

    HI all -

I'm trying to synchronize the data in the address book out of Outlook 2007 my boss for a Blackberry Pearl 8130 it sync with Desktop Sotware V 6.0.1.18. It is currently running Windows 7 Hm Prem 64 Bit.

The BB Pearl is a phone just now (no data connection) when he wants to transfer the address book for the use of the telephone directory.

I downloaded its address book of its Outlook to a CSV file & tried to do a sync 1 way to the BlackBerry device. He already has another BB curve which is sync would be its prospects & we also have a serivce Hosted Exchange configured to its Outlook & BB curve.

The software I tried to go through the option synchronize data, but it gives me error messages or think I need to select the data to be transferred, under the Organizer/configure parameters.

Is there a bug in this new DS software?

    Thank you

    Rob

For those interested - I have solved my problem.

I end up installing the software of BB DM 6.0 on my PC (Win Xp Pro SP3) & taking the battery out of the BB Pearl for a few minutes.

I tried to start the synchronization & initially got the Intellisyc error # (0 x 80040057) when you try to import an Outlook PST file.

I've deleted the Intellisync my tried & hard drive folder, but got the same error code. I then tried to import again, but from a CSV file. This has worked but noticed some data missing. I checked the field mapping & noticed some fields that the ASCII importer expected was different from the CSV file. I've renamed some of the fields in the CSV file & data transfer worked well!

Don't know if some of the questions I had initially with the BB DM 6.0 on the laptop of my boss was that it was running Windows 7 64 Bit, or I need to make a difficult start of the BB Pearl by removing the battery...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 'Address book call' phone function

I installed the software at 4.5.0.110.  In the phone function when I put the cursor in the empty field where a number is to be entered and I click on the trackball, a small window at the bottom of the screen appears that says "menu".  When I click again, appears the full menu and a selection is "Call address book."  When I select this function, the list of address book and I can then select the person and the number to call.  My question is this: in the old software, when I put the cursor in the empty field where a number is to be entered and I clicked on the trackball, the message "Address book call" instantly appeared.  I have not had to go through the extra click to see the full menu, then click again to access the address book.  Is there a setting in this new software to go directly to the "address book call" when the curson is in the field "Enter number" and I click? Thanks for anyone's help.

    Go to Options > keyboard/screen.

Scroll to Menu/Menu Style option and set it to FULL menu.
