BlackBerry Smartphone services even different bb phone?

Hello

I'm new to bb and I travel to different countries, all the time.

Is it possible to have bb different services with different carriers in different countries, but use a phone?

Thank you

Daniel

Daniel, yes it is still more smooth in my opinion - I did the same thing with other BlackBerry and the change PIN function... I didn't know that you had another device or I would have suggested that.

So yes, when you enter the "old device' PIN, it erases the recording on your work device for use on another BIS record on a separate stand.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones active new SIM - now phone SOS only

Hi all. Have a little problem. I had to go back to an old 9700 When my current iPhone broke. I needed a new card SIM from the iPhone using a different card. When I called Rogers to activate the SIM everything was fine for about a minute. I received texts that were pending since Sunday when my iPhone broke. I had full bars etc. Once a minute, he went to SOS only. While I was on the phone with Rogers Tech Support I have reset and removed the battery and SIM and all the things they wanted me to. Everything looks good on their system, he said that the problem must be with the device.

    A bit on the device:

Originally with Mobilicity in 2009. Opened and used with the wind. My father then used with Rogers and Fido. Since Sunday, when my phone broke, I used SIM card of my brother-in-law (he just swung at Rogers to the wind, but his plan has always been paid until the end of September) and the BB worked very well. If it worked correctly with a Rogers SIM.

Now, I get the same problem with my brother-brother SIM. SOS only. No connection. What happened when active Rogers SIM card must have done something to the camera itself because now it does not connect to any of them. That both SIMs work as I have tested both in my wife's phone.

The guy on the Support of Rogers suggested that perhaps the closed phone itself - but when I enter the settings advanced for the SIM card that everything is disabled in customization... so it appears not to be locked.

He said that I should try to reinstall the OS, but that it will block the phone and I need to unlocked again.

Is there anything else it could be? Will reinstall the OS relock the phone? Any other suggestions?

    Thank you very much!

First this... avoid this tech Rogers like the plague. He has no idea what he's talking about. All what he told you is simply not possible. Once MEP unlocked, a BB device can blocked at the factory. Nothing of what you have done or the facilities of any OS can relock a BB.

I'd rather a complete security on the Device Wipe:

    • KB14058 How to delete all data and applications in the smartphone BlackBerry using the security option wipe

    Otherwise, a ResetToFactory WIPE:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

After each one, put it in the SIM card and switch on the device, and then make sure that the voice is through Rogers. Only then start to worry about getting all the data to work (if you subscribe BIS, in other words).

If you want to get off the OS Reload path, then the easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do this on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below. (not applicable in your situation)

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • Problems of blackBerry Smartphones after update of the phone

I have an ATT coverage. BlackBerry 9700 Version 3.2 V3.2.33 (b3.5). After I updated my phone and I ran into several problems.

    1. on my home screen, when I select "SMS and MMS, I have to select options, see folder, then the sms conversations to see my recent texts. It's annoying, because I have to do this every time I read a txt.

If someone knows the solution to these problems, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    In addition, check here:

    • Home screen > Messages > > Options > (main Message list settings) (settings of the Inbox) or > uncheck what you want to delete in your Messages

If you uncheck the SMS box, this should create a new icon on your home screen that is dedicated only to the SMS/MMS. Look in all folders for the missing icons and check your setting 'Show all' to you make sure that it is not hidden.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how restore server BB Phone again BB 9720

    Hello

I need help. I just got a new 9720 BB after that my old BB 9220 phone stopped working. Before the old defective phone, I got my data backed up on the server by using BB BB protect.

I signed into my new BB using my BB ID and my BBM restored 9720 my BBM contacts. However all data like contacts, Notepad, messages, e-mails and whatsapp are not restored.
Whenever I go to BB protect app, it does not give me the option to restore, rather they want to back up my current phone.

Can anyone help me to restore all my data saved on my old BB Phone on the BB to BB Server protect in my new BB Phone?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

You may also use these tips:

Of course, if the problem is something physical (for example, a key is stuck, something broken inside, etc.), then no amount of diagnosis distance internet or 'Patches' level OS/software will be of no use.

Try to run your device in safe mode. You should be able to remove the theme of the problem. I suggest a peripheral complete backup using Desktop Manager before deleting anything.

However, there is also little doubt in my mind that instances of material technology-oriented customers missteps to the RIM in the last say 5 years, far exceeds those of his most powerful rival, Apple. • BlackBerry smartphones pull it out personal phone policy

I have a storm and my company just started a demo for BlackBerry.  Even if I don't have the data of the business plan, I was curious to see if I could connect my phone to the BES we set up.  The answer is no, however, the BES has a COMPUTER policy on my phone.  Some bluetooth options are now disabled.

I wiped, connected to the BES Admin service and all the data connected to Desktop Manager disabled - deleted and reloaded the OS.  Politics is always there,

How to remove this IT strategy?

There is a method that you can use to remove the it strategy using the official application of RIM loader.exe. It is a method much cleaner & leaves NO trace of ANY POLICY of the IT.

You must ensure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed & also have the latest software of device installed to your device.

Desktop and device software are available here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

You will need to select your operator from the list in your area.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS METHOD WILL WIPE YOUR DEVICE TO A FACTORY STATE, BY REMOVING ALL PERSONAL & REMOVE THE IT STRATEGY.

If there is something important on your device, please back up by using the 'ADVANCED' feature on backup/restore in the Desktop Manager.

I suggest you back up only what you need, IE SMS, Contacts etc. Please note that you can save in terms of the COMPUTER policy, so if you do this, when you restore the backup of your device, you just remove the it policy is restored on the device (FAIL!)

If you don't know how to make a backup of your device via the advanced method, please PM me and I can guide you.

Please make sure that your device is connected to your PC via USB if you have chosen to ignore backup, if you plugged hadnty it already.

After the backup, you must open a command prompt on your PC, by clicking Start-> run, type cmd then press on enter.

At the command prompt, you'll need locate the folder Apploader, provided that you have a C drive, it will be located at the:

    C:\Program Files\Fichiers Research in motion\apploader

(the command you would use is cd \Program Research in motion\apploader)

Then, you type in (without the quotes) ""/resettofactory loader.exe " "

The device will then proceed to wipe, then restart.

All that is left after the start of your device upward is to restore your personal data

I'm guessing that you have pictures/ringtones/other media on the device and using your free memory. You have a memory card? If so, try to move all your media to the map itself to release the memory.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not dial the phone number of the browser

I "upgraded" to the OS 6.0.  Now my BB does not allow me to click on a phone number I see on the internet and dial.  I have to read the number, memorize, close the browser and manually push in numbers.  UGG...   It's rotten.  Any suggestions?  T-Mobile continues to tell me it is the Web page I'm on, but he is clearly not that.  OS 6.0 is quite the downgrade.  If someone can hear the ugly notifers they call ringtones?  The assistance service directs you to buy ringtones of appworld.  What a pot!  Sell a phone that you can't hear the ringtone.
