GDI +.

I use a USB Modem application provided by the seller, called "3 G - Connect.exe", to access internet on my desktop. As soon as I connect to Windows, as usual, when I drag any window to its title bar mouse pointer of the it shows content of the window. But when I run the Modem USB (previously named) app a rectangle of parts dragging black appears, each time I put it by computer--> system properties (point on the Ribbon)-> Advanced System Settings(On the left actions bar)-> see the contents of window while dragging (check box) to transparency by dragging, or restart the operating system until the application has been run. Is it possible to eliminate this kind of problem?

Hugues Saha,

This problem is specific to the USB Modem application, I suggest you then contact for assistance. Check if they have a version update for Windows 8.

    There is no harm to try this tool as well. Also, try the built-in tool Windows as I mentioned in my previous post. And yes the fatal errors during the installation are of concern.

    You can also try to update .NET framework to the latest version and it is a good idea to run the hard drive or mistakes at this stage.

  • How to make fonts in firefox prettier appearance? For example, as with sleipnir

    Hello
    I wonder if there is a way to make the fonts in firefox smooth and easy to read?
    I tried using Sleinpir browser (http://www.fenrir-inc.com/us/sleipnir/) which aims to provide a fluid and readable text, and almost every piece of text looks just better and more enjoyable to read.

    I have tried almost every setting in the Options dialog box and in: config (under gfx.font filter).
    Enabling made via directwrite helped a lot, but it's still nothing compared to Sleipnir.

    Here are a few screenshots:

    So is there a way to make the fonts to look at this pretty in firefox? Is there an initiative do FF capable of such thing?

    Thank you very much

    (EDIT: I even tried mounting of gdi ++ https://code.google.com/p/gdipp/ AC converter for windows, but it does not seem to make any changes in firefox)

    Ah, I've not marked it. In the source code, there is a large amount of references to use gdi: http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-centra.../ident?i=gfxGDIFontList and there are bugs, saying: it is used on Windows machines, but I don't know if you open a bug with reference to integrate it into the whole system.

    Add a sleipnir - like to be able to make these policies instead?

  • Satellite Pro Graphics Driver - OpenGL version low-income L870 question

    Trying to recover a part of my working on my new L870 3D graphics software, he complains that the opengl version is too weak at 1.1. The ATI HD 7670 M supports up to 4.1.

    I downloaded realtech VR OpenGL extensions Viewer, it also reports OpenGL 1.1. He also pointed out under "GDI Generic" rendering, but it should be "ATI Radeon 7670 M" I think that (judging by the post [here | http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2487900]).

    The Catalyst Control Center seems to think that the card works well. So I tried to update the drivers to see if that helped. The latest drivers from Toshiba (8.982.7 - 120808 a 14704), the [zip file | http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/display-20121023172326.zip] is damaged (checksum fails), and he tells me that previous drivers (8.982.10.6 - 120918 a) are already installed.

    Any suggestions to get OpenGL > 1.1 work would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Hello

    OpenGL is an open standard API, but more often the DirectX designed by Microsoft is included in the graphics card driver for OpenGL enters the market of professional graphics, DirectX, DirectX is used primarily for computer games.

    However, if you need a driver supports OpenGL then you need a driver updated him from some 3rd party sources.

    ATI drivers can be downloaded from the page AMD directly or on sites like omegadrivers.net
    But use at your own risk.

    In addition, to install these drivers, you will need to use a special procedure. I mean by special procedure installation via the Device Manager where you could choose the driver manually.

  • accident of execution TestStand 3.5

    Hello

    I have the following situation: I start a sequence using batch processing model in the sequence editor of Teststand 3.5 (with 6 sockets for example). MainSequence I start two new runs and then I wait until after the results.

    After a loop of the will of SeqEdit.exe sequence for a period of time (less than 10 minutes) crashes with the following message appears: "failed to create document empty."

    This behavior I have testicles on three systems, 2 systems of NOR and once on my Dell PC.

    My test sequence and a few screenshots after crash, you will find attached.

    I use Teststand 3.5 (3.5.0.725)

    I found a few work arround in order to avoid this error, but I don't know if this still works: to specify module-> settings I checked in this option: initially hidden and disable tracing. After that, my sequence was no longer crashes. I leave a loop over 30000 times at the weekend. My application must run for six months without ventilation 24/7, and the number of loops could reach 30,000 or more.

    Thank you for your support.

    danis_rom-

    I ran your example under TestStand 3.5 after I unchecked the option to hide and disable tracing on the sequence call steps and I noticed in the task manager that the GDI objects used by the process of the sequence editor TestStand grew in each iteration. I suspect that the 3.5 TestStand sequence editor had some leaks memory related to the creation of new windows running. This break-in an OI not probably will have the same problem. However, to continue to use the TestStand 3.5 sequence editor you will need to hold cache laid (easy) hidden executions, executions by socket and reuse/restart (hard), or you can call sequences using a thread in the current execution rather than use a separate performance (easy). If you moved to TestStand 4.0 or later, it is likely that these types of leaks memory have been corrected.

  • GetGuiResources handle question User32.dll

    Hello

    I need help for my LabVIEW 2009 vi. I'm basically trying to get the number of GDI objects for a process, the same newspaper for some time (something like the Windows Task Manager - but I intend to use LabVIEW for this as a learning experience)

    I have a vi prototype that gets the ID of a process name process (say, notepad.exe), gets a handle for this ID and calls user32.dll [GetGuiResources] method to get the number of GDI objects. When I use C# for the programming, I am able to get the number of GDI, but when I followed the same steps in LabVIEW, I get the same. I narrowed the problem to the last step where the "handle" is passed to user32.dll. I don't know what Iam doing wrong in vi. Calling the method also seems fine - no error is reported. I'm I doing something wrong when using type cast step?

    Steps to reproduce the problem: launch the application Notepad and file performance c# or LabVIEW vi. Observe that we do not get the GDI County in case of LabVIEW.

    Please suggest me a solution. I have attached the code c# and LabVIEW vi for reference.

    Well, I really doubt that the .net object handle is directly handle Windows value itself. It is rather a refnum of LabVIEW encapsulating the actual object which may or may not be the handle itself. So you cannot just that cataloged and hope for Windows to recognize as valid a process handle.

    Instead, you must treat them as object and execute a method on it to convert its value internal in a LabVIEW data type such years Int64. ;-)

    And btw. your VI repeatedly running causes a big memory leak. You must close each object refnum properly in order not to have LabVIEW and .net continue to create objects that are still lingering around until you close your LabVIEW application.

    .NET is a removal of automatic object that marks all objects whose last variable referencing is out of reach for the deletion program flow. Should therefore no obj.dispose () or a similar method. LabVIEW manages only a little different for different reasons and deletions only objects automatically, when the VI of highest level in the hierarchy was created an object refnum going inactive.

  • CanvasClear causes the application crash

    I use a simple rectangular control canvas with movement indicator (Vshape) that displays the currently measured value.

    The value is updated 10 to 14 times per second, and deliberately, I made these values fluctuate.

    The canvas is filled with gradient colors (5 ranges) and the indicator moves upwards or downwards. In order to redraw the indicator,

    I use CanvasClear with the VAL_ENTIRE_OBJECT attribute and then redraws its content.  A few days ago, I noticed,

    that the software crashed, when the Panel containing the canvas control, was behind another window (belonging to an another SW

    tell the programmers Notepad or msword). I was able to reproduce the crash, which occurred immediately, but

    After that the software worked anywhere from 0.5 to 5 hours and the questionable control was behind another window.

    I also have seen, before the accident, if I move the window covering away from the canvas control, rectangle covered

    becomes black (break in non-se mode, it remains white) and it takes several seconds to redraw the partial region.

    Sometimes I noticed irregular elements (a diagonal line, not planned, from the left corner down to the right).

    Labwindows2010 IDE always shows crash-point as a call to CanvasClear().

    None of the functions, manipulating the canvas control, the return of negative values, because the software checks to see if it and if found newspapers a

    appropriate message. The canvas control has to draw political as mark for update.

    Does anyone has an idea how to everyone such instability or how to solve this problem?

    Sorry for the delay in response. I followed a red herring for a few hours when troubleshooting this. It turns out that this could have been resolved much more quickly using the resource followed in CVI. If you have the full development system, you can change the compiler Options > debug to cabins lying level and then open the window > Resource Tracking. This will show you all the memory and handles your code currently open. It will appear when the elements are created, changed, or destroyed. Looking at it when your application is running (you need to suspend execution at a breakpoint to see the tracking of resources), you will see that the program continues to create plots that belong to the curve of the COLORSCALE. It is your intensity graph. If you look at using the function for PlotIntensity, he recalled in a note that a new trace is created every time that you call this function, and you want to get rid of these plots with DeleteGraphPlot.

    You can add something like this in InitScaleData.

    if(plotHandle != 0)
    {
            DeleteGraphPlot (IndicatorPanel(0), IND_COMP_COLORSCALE, plotHandle, VAL_DELAYED_DRAW);

    plotHandle = PlotIntensity (IndicatorPanel(0), IND_COMP_COLORSCALE, scaleArray, 2, OGL_SCHEME, VAL_DOUBLE, gColorMap,gColorMap[OGL_SCHEME-1].color, OGL_SCHEME, 1, 1);

    I don't think you run necessarily in a memory problem here throwing the parcels. Intensity plots use rather a small number of GDI handles. In Windows Vista and 7, the number of GDI handles is limited to 10,000 by a Windows registry key. I look at the number of open GDI handles in the process Explorer reveals that 10000 handles were open when the application crashed on my system after about 45 minutes of execution.

    Let me know if it works if you have a chance to try this solution.
