  Hi can someone advise if the Sony HDR-SR12 camcorder is compatible with 64 bit Windows 8.1? The site compatibility 8.1 win was not clear.

  Can anyone adivse whether AVCHD files can be imported from the drive hard Sony HDR-SR12 or appropriate in Adobe Premiere elements 11 memory cards? I could not find the camera listed as supported, but may not have looked in the right place.

  Can anyone confirm if the AVCHD files can be imported from the HDR-SR12 in Corel VideoStudio Pro X 7? It seems to me that they can.

  Hoping someone can enlighten before that I spend over $ 500 on a second hand unit that I'm very interested.

  I think what is happening here is that 3ds Max does not all the color management. Most programs that use color (including After Effects and Photoshop) management assume that a PNG will be in the video space and an EXR in linear space. If 50% gray in PNG format is 0.5 (127 in the 8-bit 0-255) during EXR is around 0.18. Unless you set things properly, 3ds Max will not do that, but write 0.5 EXR and PNG. Since After Effects is expected to 0.18, the EXR will appear too bright.

  If you want EXR to resemble the PNG, the simple way is to keep the project space the value None to work and check preserve RGB on the EXR.

  The ideal workflow is to preview that your Max is rendered with a gamma of 2.2 applied during the creation of your scene. Which is what After Effects is by default when you import an EXR.

  I have created and tested packages Adobe CC 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows, I created using Creative Cloud Packager.

  The question I have is that my SCCM distribution point space is limited, I tried to merge the source of 32-bit and 64-bit files.

  Windows merged files and folders to create a 'package' of 3rd, and I skipped the files/folders where there were matches between 2 packages. I tested the 32-bit Setup failed with the following notable journal entries in % temp%\PDApp.log:

  From my experience it does unfortunately not work. Our advice is to use the creative cloud package to build 32 and 64 bit packages separately.

  Flash supports 32-bit and 64-bit player in a single, Universal Installer.  On a 64-bit operating system, Flash Player installs both and the client (for example the browser) selects the suitable for use.  If you use THE 32-bit, it will use 32-bit Flash Player.  If you are using IE 64 bit, it will use 64-bit Flash Player.

  Photoshop will work with the 14bpc data in the raw file, don't worry about this. The options that you mention "workflow" and apply to the final rendered file opened in Photoshop (bit depth, color profile, pixel dimensions and the value of the PPI). "16bpc" of Photoshop (15 + 1) is the only option if you need more output 8bpc ACR.

  Your Nikon 5100 requires a minimum of 6.4 ACR.

  The ACR, which is installed with CS5 default is 6.0.

  You must update your ACR to the latest version available for CS5 - ACR 6.7

  I tracked down the problem with the download and installation, my windows 7 was missing a file and everything worked after reinstalling windows.  The first 32-bit program in their list was used.  I hope this can help others.
