  Have a major problem, just before Christmas, my laptop started to freeze, now I couldn't do a thing with it and I had to reboot to get it going again, it seems to freeze all the time now.

  I remember now to change my ram before it started to freeze
  so I had a fresh stick of ram and tried, but it freezes again, so I thought that the HARD drive was endangered and I put one in but still its freezing point, I even reinstalled windows seven but still the same.

  It can last anywhere from a minute to an hour before freezing, I even tried heatsink on the fan but nothing and as I fell speed fan and all ok it

  I really need laptop for College, if any suggestion would be great.
  Wanted to say it of a Toshiba Satellite A200 and its 5 years.

  In any case, I also thought that HARD drive may be the problem. What operating system do you use?

  iMac OSX El Capitan 10.11.6 version 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5. 8 GB 1600 MHz DDr3.

  While on the internet (Safari + Chrome) internet freezes for up to 2/3 minutes and then works normally for a few minutes before freezing again.  If I'm on the internet then I can't drag the icons/folders on desktop.  If it isn't on the internet by dragging the icons is fine.

  I ran the malwarebytes for mac software - that locate malware genieo which he deleted.  However after restart the iMac still freezes when it is on the internet.

  I also did the disk utility repair disk on Macintosh HD.  Yet once after restarting the gel still problem occurs.

  If I restart the iMac in safe mode, the problem occurs.

  Finally, I did a reinstall of El Capitan as suggested on this site.

  Any other suggestions please?

  Because the problem didn't occur in safe mode, it is possible to connect the elements could be a problem. Please follow the steps below to test your login items:

  1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click users and groups.

  2. Click on your account under the current user name, and then click connection points.

     Make a list of the login items, you will need to remember later.

  3. Select all the elements of connection, and then click the button Delete .

  4. Choose the Apple menu > restart.

  5. If this solves the problem, reopen the preferences users and groups, add the elements of connection one at a time and restart your Mac after the addition of each of them.

     If the problem persists, follow the steps above to remove only the last element of connection that you added.

  Try to restore again, no backup and see if that helps. If this isn't the case, I suspect a defect in the screen and an Apple Store will test.

  Welcome to the Support Forums!

  Are you using the browser (Google) stock on a very regular or frequent basis? If Yes, brief gel is a known problem due to a memory leak in the stock browser that Google has not yet difficult (there are under all versions of Android OS to date). Basically, the continuous browser to consume your memory over time, based on the sites you visit and the length of time, it is active, which makes the system pause/freeze periodically. There are two ways to deal with this, either install a third-party browser (such as FireFox, Dolphin, Opera, Chrome, etc.) or if you really prefer the stock browser, restart your Xoom every two days (to clear/free memory and cache).

  Apart from the browser, a third party application of thugs can cause this as well (especially if there are conflicts). The rule of this point, try to use a surveillance (as SystemPanel) application to monitor what is active in memory when you encounter the gel. Close active applications one by one until your gel goes and then locate the updated versions.

  Hi, someone help with this problem:-running full on either Ms security esentials scan or an anti-malware program to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoftshared\ink\mshwkorr.dll is scanned it little stops the analysis to which all programs gel including the Task Manager. Other anti-spyware/virus programs either do not actually analyze the file or if it is accepted.  This has happened for several weeks.  Not sure it's the scanner or the files at the root of the problem.

  A box pop up came on the Windows screen saying to another disk check (which several already finished because of the forced, which had fixed some small errors) and check both boxes.

  I followed the instructions and it was specifically this file in the windows winsxs folder and fix the bad clusters.  No other signs of problems I have therefore been able to run a full scan on both my usual programs anti-virus and antimalaware and they both ended with no sign of any attack.  So I'm a happy Bunny!

  Thanks also to a different Chris (?) TJs) who put a list for someone else on the measures to be taken to check your hard drive, including the verification of drivers and the dust in the computer.  It can be a factor for me that the machine worked hot lately and I have pet hair!

  ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

  ·         Do you have any extended monitor connected to the computer in the past or at the present time?

  Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

  Method 1: You can try to reduce the resolution of the screen (lower), then check if the message still appears.

  Check also if the refresh rate of the monitor is set correctly and check the manual of the monitor for assistance.

  Got a new T61 2 weeks: 6459-CTO, Vista 32, T9300 2.5 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, Intel Turbo Memory. Everything is fine except the following problem: when running on battery only (not connected) the system hangs intermittently, programs stop responding, ctrl alt del does not work, only solution is a hard closed down. Lenovo sent me a replacement battery but same problem persists. Very annoying! System has never frozen when connected to the AC. All PC Doctor diagnostics OK. Insatalled latest drivers etc. Is update system, including Windows update. I have read that some versions of Intel Turbo Memory has had this problem when running on battery alone, but apparently this has been corrected with the later driver versions of Inter Turbo Memory - I later. Any help would be appreciated.  No problem other than that - I can't use the laptop on battery with confidence.

  All is well so far - no freeze no more! Now I can use my laptop because it was intended to be used - in battery mode - in the yard!  I wonder when Lenovo makes available this driver for their production. This problem of gel certainly did me a lot of grief.

• Problem with iTunes gel preferences and other issues.

  I don't know why, but the week last iTunes randomly decided to not work: whenever I try to open the preferences panel it hangs and release only randomly after a few minutes only to freeze again when I change the tabs. Also, all devices that I connect so that open freezes iTunes, yet once it thaws in itself rarely after waiting an hour or more but crashes again soon after.

  I tried everything short of wiping the disk and start from scratch (not an option to be honest): followed every single link help I found on Apple's site, used several malware scanner, defragmented, made several clean install iTunes and its components.

  I'm on an ASUS N53SV win 10, latest version, all the updated drivers. I don't really know what else remains.

  For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

  The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

  Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

  More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.
