• Linksys WAG120N DSL light problem

  Hello!

  Yesterday, I bought the Linksys Wireless - N Home ADSL2 + Modem Router WAG120N (version Annex-A). I have configured the modem/router and it worked very well. Today, I was surfing the internet just fine and I left my computer for a few minutes, when I came back I noticed that there is no internet connection. The internet light on the modem was no longer on, and the DSL one blinking. I turned off the unit and then it back on, but the question was always present. I tried to restore the default settings and configure the modem again, but nothing seems not to help (reset the modem, turn off all devices on it and reboot the modem/router). The DSL led keeps flashing and turns off a few seconds then flashes again. The internet light appears only when I restart the modem and it flashes in red just after turning on the unit. I thought that there is a problem with my ISP, but I plugged my previous modem and it works fine. I don't know what is happening. What is really weird, is that it was working fine yesterday and today, nothing seems to help. You guys have ideas, what can be the problem here?

  I agree that there is no problem with the connection to your ISP, since the old modem works fine. It might be really have something wrong with the WAG120N. Since you bought just a few days ago, be replaced by a new unit.

  The parameters are the same as the Netgear router and which connects immediately... Any ideas?

  I agree with James. AFAIK for AOL users there is an AOL software that needs to be preinstalled. By using this software, you can configure DSL connection.

  By the way: do you use modem for DSL connection only or also a router between your laptop and the DSL modem?

• WAG310G

  I recently bought a router WAG310G. It worked perfectly for a whee while but now he is barely connected to the internet. There seems to be no problem with the DSL I'm. The old router still works very well, the only problem was its lack of ports and wireless.

  Have you tried to reset your router and reconfigure all the settings on your router back again. Press and hold the button of reset for 30 seconds... Release the reset button... Unplug the power cable from your router, wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cable... Now re - configure your router...

  Once you re - configure all settings of your router I think it should work perfectly fine.

• WAG54G2 Annex - B DSL led does not illuminate

  I bougth one annex-B WAG54G2, because I use ADSL on ISDN (residing in the Luxembourg) and my internet provider pointed out, I'd need to buy a modem ISDN.

  I plugged the gray cable to the modem of the ISDN splitter Jack like I did with my old modem (a SpeedTouch 516i), but the DSL led do not illuminate, either I don't get an internet connection. I tried to use my old modem cables, but that didn't change anything.

  But just maybe, it was not correct to buy Appendix B after all... my old modem uses a small phone cable (think they are called R11?) but the Linksys modem uses the big cable. The main cable is not a problem with the ISDN splitter, but still... This could be the reason for not reaching the DSL connection?

  Of course, I can't any help my internet provider as long as I still have their SpeedTouch modem and it works well, but I wanted to go wireless so that the family could use the internet without having to 'damage' from my computer.

  You are able to go online from the SpeedTouch Modem When you connect your computer directly. So in these cases that you want to go online wireless, then connect the Ethernet cable to the back of your Modem to the Linksys router on the No. 1 LAN Port.

  First connection of the Modem to the computer and your computer click Start - RUN - CMD and click on ok, now in the command prompt, type "ipconfig" and write down the IP address. If suppose that your Speedtouch Modem IP address is 192.168.1.1.

  Connect the Modem to the router Linksys on Port n ° 1 and then connect your computer to the Linksys router on LAN ports 2.

• Nighthawk D7000 does not recognize DSL after firmware update

  After updating firmware for V1.0.0.38 my D7000 would not recognize my AT & T DSL, no dsl or internet light connection.

  A round and round with netgear TS and told me that the firmware would not cause. I paid for an extended service get this problem fixed. After AT & T came home and verified that all signal completely to modem was good, TS decided that my modem was bad and I paid to get a new delivery.

  Connected a new place and still no DSL recognition. This unit was V1.0.0.32.

  I downloaded the V1.0.0.18 firmware and the problem disappeared. I'm back up and running.

  I tried the next most recent firmware and the unit would not recognize my DSL once again.

  So, I'm under V1.0.0.18 and it seems to work very well.

  What is the problem with that?

  Don't know if you have this problem solved yet but that's. That's what I had to do.

  You will need to download the * *.18 firmware. something of higher que.18 does not work, tested!

  Connect the modem and connection with the connection on the bottom of the D7000.

  When you open a session go to the menu update firmware. link to your downloaded software. I will ask if you want to because of the older firmware, say Yes. Be patient and let it work.

  Now, you will get the LEDs ADSL and internet.

  You must have your ATT internet connection and the password to complete the installation.

  Mine works fine, for DSL sucky service.

  To answer your question of capital letters: no, the behavior of your Ethernet card, including its lights, has nothing to do with your telephone modems, current or previous.

  • Open the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK)
  • Click on the + to the left of network adapters to expand the category.

  The unit shows weird lights four LEDs Ethernet, power restarts and when drop connection just a power indicator light

  The DSL is fine, [I'm using a router in 2003] the wag160n should use so that I write is not a dsl publish

• WAG54G2 and BT Broadband

  Morning,

  I have an ADSL Broadband BT currently with a wired router provided bt active. Wanted to go wireless so I bought the WAG54G2. I plugged as suggested on my desk and on the router 'installation', I get green lights on 'power', 'ethernet port', 'Wireless' and 'read '. I don't understand not 'internet' - it is not lit. After several minutes, the installation fails. A cell phone compatible with additional wireless in the House can see the 'open network', but I can't continue the installation on the main computer to configure the gateway. The error suggest I check connections and try again.

  We then tried to install the bridge on another laptop incase it was the dekstop who had a problem, but we get the same problem.

  I have BT Broadband basic service.

  Any ideas - is there a known problem with this router and Broadband BT?

  Hello. I have problems with the implementation of my router, a Linksys WAG325N. My internet connection is DSL. According to my ISP, I have no username or password for my account because my connection uses a DYNAMIC IP ADDRESS. The operator of my ISP tells me that for my WIFI connection all I have to do is to set it to DHCP. That's all. My ISP does not help me because they sell another brand of routers with their DSL...

• EA6350 2 weeks just stop working, power light only

  I just bought an EA6350 less than 2 weeks ago and came home yesterday night with no network no internet. The main power light is on top, but that's all, there is no activity light flashes on any wired connections that are wired and the Ethernet of my DSL modem not light either, as he does not see a signal sent by the router.  Wireless network SSID not broadcast.  Router was extremely hot to the touch on the bottom.

  Tried to disconnect and reconnect, nothing has changed.  Tried the reset button, but it seems to do nothing at all.  Sam during the night to cool off but still nothing works.  Old router plugged in and all is well again.

  What is this thing just dead?  I have another one that worked very well for several months.

• don't move from dsl to comcast - now no wireless internet

  Big fruit, Hard wired network (15 workstations.) I had a dsl modem connected to my network connected to the modem switch and linksys wrt54gs router. All connected workstations had internet access AND there is a wireless internet connection. With any wifi device I could access the internet.

  I switched from dsl to comcast. All connected workstations have internet. but when I plug my router wireless modem (comcast IP gateway business) there is no wireless internet connection. Wired workstations can still get online and there is a wireless network, but it does not have access to the internet (page not found etc.)

  Comcast said that absolutely, it should work. Linksys said it should simple reconfig to the router settings (reset the router, clone the mac address). I have read the linksys knowledge base articles and follow each step. The modem lan ports all work if I connect them directly with a laptop computer and cable. I have reset the router several times, clone the mac address, dhcp release/renew.

  My physical connections are correct.  In the configured router utility, I can see the mac adrdress and IP address but can't tell if the IP is the modem or the router. Default gateway is always 192.168.1.1 in the router AND any ipconfig workstation screen. IP addresses are 192.168.1.xx in ipconfig at any workstation AND in the configured router status.

  I can't access the internet through a router even if plugged directly on it. It's as if the router does not receive the correct information of the modem. However, it worked perfectly with the DSL modem the day before, we have changed.

  My workstations are wired just hard and work. I just want to have a Wi - Fi connection too... for phones and laptops, wireless etc. w.

  Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

  1. access the router page, go to the wireless TAB, click the wireless security sub-tab, copy your wless password and check the sub-tab mac filter, it should be disabled 2. Go to the Administration TAB, disable upnp or 3. Go to the security TAB, uncheck multicast request / anonymous filter 4.
