Freezes, accused on the internet

Still no cure for this problem!

iMac OSX El Capitan 10.11.6 version 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5. 8 GB 1600 MHz DDr3.

If previously posted gel unresolved issue.

While on the internet (Safari + Chrome) internet freezes for up to 2/3 minutes and then works normally for a few minutes before freezing again.  If I'm on the internet then I can't drag the icons/folders on desktop.  If it isn't on the internet by dragging the icons is fine.

I ran the malwarebytes for mac software - that locate malware genieo which he deleted.  However after restart the iMac still freezes when it is on the internet.

I also did the disk utility repair disk on Macintosh HD.  Yet once after restarting the gel still problem occurs.

If I restart the iMac in safe mode, the problem occurs.

Finally, I did a reinstall of El Capitan as suggested on this site.

Any other suggestions please?

Hello rasjjr,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that you met Frost while on the internet. You did a great job trying to get this resolved. I'm happy to help you.

Because the problem didn't occur in safe mode, it is possible to connect the elements could be a problem. Please follow the steps below to test your login items:

  1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click users and groups.

  2. Click on your account under the current user name, and then click connection points.

Make a list of the login items, you will need to remember later.

  3. Select all the elements of connection, and then click the button Delete .

  4. Choose the Apple menu > restart.

  5. If this solves the problem, reopen the preferences users and groups, add the elements of connection one at a time and restart your Mac after the addition of each of them.

If the problem persists, follow the steps above to remove only the last element of connection that you added.

Heya, this problem is annoying me a lot since 2 weeks, my new (2 months) pavilion dv6 hangs / freezes on the music, video and all using internet. I tried a lot of things I started with my media players, I use itunes, windows media player and vlc. they all had the same problem, so I don't think that's the problem. My second step was installing all drivers and updates of windows and hp advised me. It took forever because im living in a campus of colleges and the internet is very slow. but finally I managed to download all of them. After a rebooth, I checked if all the drivers and updated when installed. and they where but the problem was still there. My third step would open the BIOS menu and run both hard drive test and he said that there where no problems detected. Then I took a peek at all my settings on my video card, sound card and windows, but could not detect anything. If anyone has a solution, I would be really happy to hear. Thank you

    Hello

Start Notepad and let Windows load completely.  Hold down the Windows key and press R.  For the run box, type msconfig and press ENTER.  In the next window, click the Startup tab, uncheck the box next to each startup item and then click on apply to apply the change.  Reboot the laptop and see if it now works normally - when surfing the internet, keep in known safe sites that your security software is disabled.  If it runs without hooking, reactivate a substantive point to the time (start with your security software), click on apply and restart the computer to see if it still works ok.  Keep doing this until you experience the problem and you will know that the last program that you configured to start with Windows is the origin of the problem of gel.

    ON THE PROBLEM

This problem has happened recently. Once I turn on my desktop mode computer "sleep", it cannot reconnect to the Internet and I use only cable internet which computer is connected via ethernet to the cable-internet-modem/router cable. The computer seems to be able to view all available networks, but she was never able to connect to the Internet (after waking up from sleep). At the same time that the computer seems to have slowed a lot, I have no idea why, but I guess he's trying to reconnect to the internet and this process of reconnection is devouring its resources.

I had other problems with this computer during this past year the half, but will not go into great detail with them now. These problems have been losing some dll. file that was ment to display the Win 7 great/normal devices connected to the computer, and a total system crashes / freezes after having updated graphics drivers AMD ATI Radeon 3000. However these problems seem to have disappeared after Windows 7 service pack 2 update. Also, I scanned the computer several times with a well-known and apreciated overall software security, no virus or other major security problems have been found.

The only problem that seems to have the computer right now is just this question, I am trying to solve.

Any suggestions to check and make what?
