generator based android app Web gives a status of "failed".

Hello

all of a sudden the native webbased DPS App Builder build applications more, after having waited, the result is always 'fail', which could have triggered this behavior?

and more importantly: how we can solve this problem?

Yes, we watched in our backend system this morning and you hit our daily limit to build per account. It resets every night that's why you were able to build today. How many generations you have tried to do?

  • I can't create a native android app made with a 2560 x 1600. I only see the 2048 x 1536, 1024 x 768 option in the web native Android app?

    Hi all

I created a native android app. I need to publish on a 2560 x 1600 android tab, the problem is that in my library, I have my ipad version of 2048 x 1536 and 1024 x 768.

I know that when I create my native Android app, that I should be able selected my native interpretation in only 2560 x 1600, but in the library of android app generator tab of web I see only the option of 2048 x 1536 and 1024 x 768.

Please do you have any idea?

    TX

The drop-down list lists only folio sizes that you have published in the account of publication of your application. Make sure that you have actually published a folio of 2560 x 1600, and then you will be able to select from the drop-down list.

  • Generator of DPS App for Android devices

Hello! I'm doing a new smartphone app, and I followed this link:

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Digital-Publishing-Suite/help/building-Android-apps.html

I put each certificate and do all steps successfully!

What should I do after that?

I have just a tablet on Google app account to play...

There are other measures to show the app on Smartphone playstore? because I don't see the app...

    Thank you very much

    Staff TKART

Applications created by the web application Builder run on tablets and smartphones all the time. There is no "single tablet" or "smartphone" version. If you download this new .apk on Google instead of your current game it will replace the one there.

Note that our native Android application supports only Android 4.0.3 and later. If your Smartphone is running an older version of Android so it won't appear in the store of Google play list when you search for it.

  • DPS App generator - problem creating Android app

    Hello.

I seem to have a problem of creating an Android application of in DPS App generator. I wonder if someone could help see if I am doing something obviously wrong.

With my app work (which works fine in the Preview on the Viewer application), since InDesign I then...

    1. select my Folio and the menu «Create App»

2 when the Builder App Launches, I only see the option to create an iPad app. If I logout and back again using the same account, I can see a list of previously created applications. I can select "create new" at the bottom of the screen and go through all the steps correctly (app name, icons and splash screens etc.) and without error.

    3. I then finished creating the application and I'm able to download the .apk on my desk (after selection of the .p12 and the password)

    4. when I load this on my Nexus 7 and run, I get the splash screen and a white screen

Here's the thing... Although I seem to have created an Android application, I don't know if I have actually , as I have not see any references to the Folio at the start of the version of Android (step 2 above). In addition, the file size seems too small for the included assets. I have created an 'empty' app that includes only the icons, the splash screen and the name (if necessary).

For the record, the account I log within the App Builder is a DPS Professional Account.

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Tony Mead

Using the workflow 'Create App"from the popup menu in Indesign is the workflow for a unique editing application integrated. And currently integrated unique edition app is not supported on Android, but because of that when you go through your workflow, you will only see the iPad and not Android app option.

If you create an Android app, it must be a multi issue about where you post your your dahsboard folio and publish the same Folio to the distribution of Adobe server. And that you specify the ID of title as ID where you published the folio in your application builder when you create your android application.

Please go through this Guide edition Android for details http://www.adobe.com/devnet/digitalpublishingsuite/articles/making-and-deploying-android-d ch - viewers.html

  • How to install an AIR android app without deleting the data generated by the previous version

I have an android application developed using adobe AIR SDK 16 and Flash CS6. Whenever I have publish/debug the application directly in the connected device. But whenever I publish the application data (images, text files) saved in the repository of application including the sqlite file are deleted. That's why I have to recreate all the data again to test. Is there a way to public/install an apk without losing the data created by the app installed? I tried with changing the version number. And I use the same certificate.

Colin is correct. When you publish on an Android application directly on a Flash device, it removes the old version and then install a new. You can actually see this happen. If you have the app open with the screen on drawer and to publish the application from Flash, you will see the app disappear from your device and a few seconds later, another appears.

Another way you could install the app, while keeping the data is just having Flash create the .apk file and install it manually on your device or use the method of Colin put as a beta/alpha on the game store. Be aware that if you are wanting to do your application paid for, you can first make free.

A manual installation options include the apk of edition and then move to your device while it connected as USB device (Windows) or use the Android app (Mac) File Transfer and you need a file manager on the device application 'open' the app that will trigger the installation prompt.

What I do, because my apps are for most of the code and are small size of file, use Dropbox. I have all my project files saved with Dropbox, so whenever I publish a new .apk file, I download the new file to my phone from Dropbox and install it from the downloads app and it prompts just update you currently installed.

All manual installation options will be security-> Sources unknown option checked. I don't remember if it applies to the developer of the app, but apps beta/alpha on the need of a community Google Store + or Google Group created to test and anyone in the community or group can download and test the application. But of course, you can restrict the groups invite only.

You say you have a web-based application.  Which implies that it is a three-tier application?  If, therefore, normally, middle-tier servers maintain pools of connections.  If this is the case, you wouldn't think that a session is created each time a user connected to the application, or that a session ended whenever a user logged out of the application.  At best, the connections of killing the middle tier has opened in the connection pool would cause problems of application performance.  At worst, you cause the application being unusable.  You could certainly do things like create profiles that limit a user can have how many sessions, how long those sessions can be slowed down, etc.  But in doing so for a three-tier application would generally strongly discouraged.

With regard to the question of if you can change PROCESSES affecting dynamically...

  • Remove ReadyCloud android app

I can connect to the web interface of ReadyCloud and only to find my 3 OS 6 NAS units. If I use the ReadyCloud android app, I also find a former NAS unit that once, I have used (or tried) but who has failed a few months ago. I tried to empty the cache and the data on my android device but when I connect the device to the app reappeared, showing the status of 'unknown '. I found a similar question posted by "n_damian" in early 2015, and apparently the solution was sent by PM and is not included in the view of the forum. Any help is appreciated; I clearly have a workaround, but it would be nice to have a fix in place! Thank you.

  • Updated android app, the old ID bundle fail

Hi, I update an Android app and the old bundle what ID is not accepted. It seems to be due to the use of numbers. Even though it says that the name may contain numbers.

It is the first update using the web-based application builder.

Anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Bundle ID is not allowed to have pieces that start with a digit. The old App Builder mistakenly allowed this. The new App Builder correctly apply this requirement.

  • Android App update, certificate problem

    Hello!

I need to update an android application of several question in March 2013 with the DPS App Builder.

I would like to now use the Web - based DPS App Builder to build a native application for Android DPS.

Everything works fine with the https://appbuilder.digitalpublishing.acrobat.com

I create a certificate with the Terminal and signed the .apk with DPS App Signing Tool.

Now, when I try to download the .apk in Google play OCnsole I have this error message:

    –––––––

    Failed to download

You have downloaded an APK that is signed with a different certificate to your previous APKs.

You must use the same certificate. Your existing APKs are signed with the certificates

    with fingerprint (s):

    –––––––

I still have the old certificate on my server but it does not improve. Even if I try with the files on my hard drive.

What can I do to improve this app and not delete Google Play store and create a new one?

    Thank you for your help

    Yves

You must sign your update app with the same certificate that you used on your Google or a precedent does not allow you to download the new application to replace your old one. There is no way around that.

  • Android app brings is very slow

    Hi all

So far, I brought an Android app to BB10 and it works fine. It is based on the client-server communication. However, I wore a new, which relies on the caching of files and stuff to database backup which makes large average andorid phones. However on BlackBerry Z10, which has excellent material is very slow and laggy. I have a suspisions one of the reasons is because litters applications rely on Android 2.3. But no experience or help Blackberry developers will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I just wanted to add that 10.2 has now gone gold! With this, you will get the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 runtime which includes a load of improvements to the gingerbread.

I suspect that many of the concerns performance will be improved considerably.

  • Look and Feel of Runtime Android Apps

    Hello

I wonder why the look and feel of Android apps only differs from that of the rest of the development for BB10 Playbook & platforms. I read somewhere that RIM wants all their apps to be consistent across all platforms and that is why AIR apps and native applications have the same user interface. For example, the way that is menu. the color and size of the title bar, etc. But the Android Runtime Apps are always the Android UI 2.3.3. Will RIM work on this in the future? Or DURATION always Android apps will have different UI than the Native BB10/Playbook apps? And also they plan support the latest Android OS? Because it's really hard back in 2.3.3 so that I can port my app to BB10/PlayBook.

    Thank you

    Knockaert

    Hello

Since the Android Runtime is based on Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 menus and controls will be shown as they would on an Android device. Conversion of the menus and interface elements user who will be like native BlackBerry 10 apps could introduce a quantity important issues with Android apps brought as they have not been designed or implemented to the point to be re-stylized.

However, we are always looking for ways to improve the end-user experience in the Android Runtime. Such a feature for BlackBerry 10 was our integration to the new keyboard, including text prediction. We will continue to add features of integration like this in the future to reduce the user interface differences between Aboriginal people and applications Android Runtime. And Yes, we evaluate currently supported for a new Android operating system releases in the future.
