  Hi, Shada, this can happen if you include additional installers to your installer for example DAQmx. When you do this the installation program must include other files like MAX (Measuremente and Automation Explorer). Probably when you installed Vision Builder he updated MAX, so when your Installer try to understand MAX, his request the source where it was installed in your computer in this case Vision Builder.

  Here you can cache information so it is not asked once again, or you can download a version more recent fo DAQmx, then it will update MAX and change the dependecy.

  I think the problem is that the path you specify is invalid for a goal of RT. On the RT, the 'path' should just be the name of the inspection. If you look at help for the VI open Inspection, it says to use the get target Inpections VI to see what paths for all controls are... sometimes the path is a name of numbers subsequent, though it may not be what you think.

  I'm building an inspection in the generator of vision OR for automated inspection. I just downloaded a VI specifying VBAI of Labview. What defines a remote target? Also how to import a folder of the VBAI inspection in LabView.

  If you run an inspection on a real-time target, this is where you can specify the IP address of the target. The drop down menu will automatically fill with all targets detected on the local subnet. Looks like you want to run the engine VBAI on your local machine. You should check the example LabVIEW API example (Local) .vi. It will launch a local VBAI engine and allow you to navigate to an inspection on your machine to open/execute/recover results/images.

  It depends on the specific computer to how it determines its ID. It could either be based on you MAC address or the serial number of your hard drive. Is this computer a laptop or desktop? Did you the hardware changes to the computer since it worked correctly?

  Let me know on these issues and we can see if it is possible to force the reference computer, one of the following options to retrieve the job ID.

  I have a pc with firewire port, can I use it to acquire image without the use of PCI8255.

  What software (driver) should I buy, knowing that I have tne generator of vision.

  If you already have firewire, you don't need a pci8255 card.  You need no software Acquisition of Vision, however.  Check and see if a use license is included with vision builder.

  I created an application for inspection. This application must run on another machine and I want to make a standalone executable out of my vision generator project.

  Just to be sure:

  Is it possible to export my Vision Builder Labview project and create a standalone executable?

  I guess I need the Vision Development Module to generate the exported project exe file and run it on another machine I need a for the vision development module run-time license. Is this correct or am I missing something?

  You are right with you supported. You can generate LabVIEW Code out of the VBAI Inspection. But to do so, you will need the Vision Development Module installed - and cause the Vision Acquisition Software (should be already installed if you have images with the VBAI). Out the LabVIEW source code, you can create a stand-alone executable. But this executable runs only if you have installed the Vision Development Module Run Time on the target and activated the cause (run-time license).

  For the target you don't need another license for the acquisition of vision software - which is included in the Vision Development Module Run Time.

  Why do you need to specify the curve settings once again, if you have already built a model using the template editor? You don't need to use "IMAQ Advanced Setup learn geometric model 2 VI" to find games (see the attached example).

  You can wire the 'curve settings' control to 'IMAQ configuration geometrical game model 2 VI', but the values are not used if wire you a Boolean true to the node "use learning curve settings" (it's like that by default). To prove it, I enclose a small program with pre-created model (using the template editor) for a geometrical alignment. The model and the test of three images are also included.

  Try changing the settings of the curve with the 'use know curve settings' enabled, and you will see the corresponding score remains the same. Disable the Boolean control, then try to change the curve settings.

  Also take a look at the detailed help for "IMAQ configuration geometrical game model 2 VI", specifically the "learning curve parameters of use."

• A question about 'value spots' in the Vision Assistant of NOR

  I am a new learner or vision.

  When I use 'mark set' in the Vision Assistant of NOR. It works well. for example

  However, when I put the program NI Vision Assistant to create a Labview VI program. (Tools > create a LabVIEW VI), then run the VI, it no longer works.

  Hi all

  This problem has been reported under Corrective Action Request (CAR) 441410 and has since been fixed in 2014 of VDM. I highly recommend upgrading to the latest version here: www.ni.com/download/vision-development-module-2014-f1/4971/en/ because it contains other patches. If you are unable to do so, I have attached the patched file, you need to change. Replace the following file (assuming that the default installation location): \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2013\vi.lib\vision\Vision Utils.llb Assistant with the version I have attached here, and that should solve the problem you see with NaN values of reference in the VG of the generated code.

  In the Vision Assistant, if I use 'Analysis of Contour' and click on "Curvature of the computer", there is a table below that show x, position y as the value of the curvature.

  When I'm in LabVIEW, there is only a table out of the function of curvature Compute... There is no relationship with the x, position y of the curve.

  How can I match x, y of the curve with curvature value?

  If you generate the code in the Vision Assistant, you'll see that a few screws are called to calculate the curvature:

  -IMAQ from Contour, which retrieves the outline of your object. That VI returns the points of the outline you want to.

  -IMAQ overlay Contour allows to superimpose the outline on the image.

  -Finally, bend to calculate IMAQ is used to calculate the curvature at each point of the contour.

  The curvature profile returned by this VI table has the same number of points as the Points of Contour table returned by IMAQ extract of outline.

  The indices of these 2 tables match.

  Try the VI IMAQ number of 2 objects in motion and Vision > visionique > count and measure objects palette.

  If that is not exactly what you want, you can always choose to pass inspection VBAI to LabVIEW (Tools > Inspection migrate for LabVIEW of VBAI) and look at the generated code. It will produce exactly the same results as in VBAI. The only thing is that the generated code is complex.

  Module Vision Development supports the formats AVI, that you can use to record a sequence of images in a movie file.

  You can use the AVI API and the API of Acquisiion Vision for your acquisition to save it on the installation disc. You can directly encode the part in the CVI.

  If you prefer not to do programming and use Vision Builder AI for all tasks, it is also possible.

• Server error VI Assistant vision

  For a vision of small machine using myRIO application I use FPGA to pre-process images. For this I do via Vission Wizard to generate the FPGA code, but it seems that the VI server is not configured correctly.

  Tools > Options > VI server, I checked TCP/IP (with port number 3364) and have also added the VI mentioned in the error to the exported screws and gave access. Assistant to the Vision still don't generate FPGA code and giving the same error.
