Generic Non - Pnp Moniter Fix?

Today I turned on my computer and the resolution is really too big, I went to the resolution of the screen and discovered that the resolution, it was fixed to the Max. So I searched the Internet for a few hours and found a way to get back to the original resolution. But now my monitor will not register and not displayed as generic Non - Pnp monitor. Ive updated all possible drivers and still nothing. I tried to unplug my monitor and the computer for a few minutes, but nothing.
Monitor: Dell ST2320L
Computer: Inspiron 580
6 GB of Ram 64 bit
Intel Core i3 550 @3. 20 ghz, 3.20 ghz

Open Device Manager > monitors. Open the generic monitor and click the driver for the update. Choose 'Browse my computer for driver software', her choose "Let me pick from a list...". "Uncheck the"Show compatible hardware"and scroll to Dell Computer Corp. look in the right column of your monitor, and I hope that it is listed.

  • Windows 7 'generic non - pnp monitor '.

I installed the drivers from nvidia windows 7 (190,62) and it works fine, except that I can't change my resolution to 1680 x 1050 for my 22 inch LCD V7 R22W02 display! It presents itself as 'Generic Non - PnP Monitor'. When I update the drivers, it says that the Non - pnp drivers are up-to-date. The maximum I can choose is 1600 x 1200 which makes all crushed. My monitor is plug'nplay (!) and I can not launch the drivers from the site Web V7 because they are 32-bit.

I had this problem until I fixed it.

Problem: the resolution of my screen changed all of a sudden, the screen was LCD ACER monitor..., but it changed for non-Plug-and-Play monitor generic.

Solution: what I did unplug the power cable that is connected to the monitor when the PC was on.  Then I plugged it to the screen after a few seconds.  I was so happy that my screen resolution was all perfect again! Haha! Simple =)

I hope this works for anyone having this problem too.

  • DisplayPort to DVI adapter is generic Non - PNP monitor

I have a 6 week old want H8 - 1420 T C1U69AV #ABA, Windows 8 64 bit, 1 GB Radeon HD7670 and I am trying to connect two Dell 1905FP monitors. Each monitor works fine when it is connected to the DVI port. When I connect a monitor with an adapter HP DisplayPort / DVI dongle, the system reports it as a generic Non - PNP monitor and the screen remains black. I tried the adapter on another system, and it works fine.

I've updated to the new '8.982.10.1800 Rev A January 3, 2013' driver on the HP site, but it did not help. The AMD drivers will not install because it is apparently a video of the ugly step-child card, not a true AMD. If I knew that I would have not purchased with the system.

I have the original of the 1905FP CD when I bought it and it isn't a driver file on this subject (no need of one with XP). When the monitors work, they are each reported as a 1905FP.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion, but this has been resolved over the weekend. I was using a passive adapter Displayport to DVI. I replaced it with a Startech DP2DVIS active adapter Displayport to DVI and that did the trick.

  • Resolution of Windows Server R2 2012 stuck at 1024 x 768 generic Non - PnP

    Hello

I want to have my own windows home server, so I installed WindowsServer 2012 R2 on a laptop Aspire 7740. But the laptop does not screen because I don't need, I want to order the server remotely via VNC. The problem I have with the server, it's that I can't increase the resolution, so if I use VNC only 1/4 of my remote screen is filled with the desktop of the server due to the fact that my remote screen resolution 1920 x 1080.

Is it possible to increase the resolution of a generic Non - PnP monitor? (I tried to install the drivers from w8.1 but it did not work)

  • Windows 7 detection as a generic non - PnP monitor, cannot set 16:10 resolutions.

After the reboot, I noticed my resolution has been reset and when I went to go put my Native resolution. I discovered that it wasn't on the list more, and that it has detected it as a 'generic Non - PnP monitor '. Updated video card, CCC, he admits to 1680 x 1050 60 Hz max resolution.

Video card is an ATI Radeon HD 5750, Monitor is a 20.1 "Soyo MT - NI - DYLM2086 DVI.

    Drivers Vista will also work.

  • Windows 7 sees my second monitor as "generic non - PnP" and will not let me set the correct resolution

    Hello

I just installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on a new hard drive on my Dell Studio 540. The PC has a graphics card ATI Radeon HD 3450 and has a Samsung 226bw 22 "monitor on the digital output. This works very well, and has the resolution of 1650 x 4050. When I am running Vista (on the previous hard drive), I got a monitor flat 14 "old on the other out, and it worked fine (although at a lower resolution).

I added a monitor AOC F22s + on the other output, expecting to be able to put this to the recommended 1920 x 1080 resolution. Unfortunately, Windows has developed the driver for this monitor "Generic non - PnP" and will not let me set the correct resolution. To the maximum it will allow is 1600 x 1200, (as well as all other resolutions it allows) do not use the monitor at maximum capacity, which is the ratio of evil anyway, so the display seems tense.

I run Windows Update, so have the latest drivers. I tried to install the other drivers, but nothing helped.

I tried to unplug the Samsung monitor and restart the PC, so that the AOC, one was the only monitor it and he always had as 'Generic non - PnP' with the wrong resolution.

Someone at - it ideas? I'm at my wits end. AOC support did not understand and could only suggest that the monitor was faulty, but the place where I bought it insist that it works very well and so no Exchange or get a refund (no restocking fee, which is a RIP-OFF).

I really want to use both screens and would appreciate greatly any help that anyone can give. I hope I gave enough information. If I didn't, please let me know.

    Thanks in advance,

    Alan

  • Unable to set the display resolution, Intel HD 4600 in Device Manager displays ' generic non-pnp monitor low resolution.

I am slot as Windows 7 Pro on a Dell Intel 64 bit pc with a screen HD Dell I5 and Intel HD graphics 4600 driver.  PC woke up a few hours of inactivity, after no updates known to windows or other programs, with icons and pages double size beyond the limits of the monitor, setting the low resolution and Device Manager showing ' no generic pnp monitor low resolution ' instead of 'Monitor Dell HD' and no option to increase the resolution.  No help with reset, not restoration, disconnection and reconnection monitor auto plug n Play, 'Search new device', 'add a device', update of the graphics driver, reinstall the drivers from the Dell monitor.  Troubleshooting peripheral reported to date and working correctly.  After I finally uninstalled driver restarted, and graphic displays "default monitor" Device Manager (no longer "generic low resolution"), no graphics driver identified, but don't allow me to change to a higher resolution.  New windows had to be individually size / expanded to fill the screen.  This can be corrected?  I want to optimize my display settings for this monitor.  I have reinstall my graphics driver or just be happy that I can use my computer?  Thank you.

Call Dell.  Your monitor should have a 3-year warranty.  Your matching OptiPlex with a warranty of one year more.

Also, check all the hidden and invisible buttons on the monitor.  Someone may have inadvertently changed one of these.

  • Monitor undetected, only non - PNP monitor used

I have been using Windows 7 and an external monitor, an Acer AL2216W, for several weeks.  The wreck of monitor to 1680 x 1050 was used.  I rebooted and now 1680 x 1050 is no longer a choice.  When I use the widget of the resolution of the screen, it lists the monitor as generic non - PnP Monitor.  I have a choice of different resolutions, that which some only displayed.  I chose to use 1600 x 1200, but the fonts are blurry and 1680 x 1050, the characters are crunchy.  I tried to install the driver for the Acer AL2216W monitor, but windows tells me that she loves her current driver more and it won't install it.  Do you know what I could try to have this monitor correctly detected?

    Thank you!

This is resolved.  The monitor must be disconnected, turned off and then reconnected.  Having done this, the monitor is again detected by all computers.

    Thank you

  • Monitor the changes between the PNP and non - PNP

Hi, I'm completely stumped on this problem. I got my new PC for about a month, and during the last two weeks, I knew the Windows device disconnect sound, maybe once or twice every 30 minutes. I didn't mind at first, but now it becomes incredibly annoying. After trying to diagnose the problem, I discovered that it was a problem with my monitor. I use a VGA connection (this is the only method available right now, and I noticed in Device Manager, whenever I hear the sound of the disconnection, the driver for the monitor goes from the PNP to the non - PNP and vice versa. I have no idea why it does this, or how remedy. Any suggestions?

    Hello Adam,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

The monitor display anything after hearing disconnect sound?

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall display drivers and check the issue. Please use following steps:

    a. identify the type of adapter installed on your computer. Click the Windows 'Start' menu. Click on "Control Panel" and "system and security." Click on "Device Manager" click on 'show cards '. Your name and brand of your video card will be displayed.

    b. click on 'control panel '. Click on "Uninstall programs" under "programs". Scroll down the list until you find your video card driver; the pilot may not have your exact model in the name of the program, but it will show the manufacturer. For example, if you have an ATI graphics card, the driver would be "ATI Catalyst Control Center".

    c. Select the video card driver, and then click "Uninstall". Follow the step by step instructions, which includes generally confirm that you want to uninstall the driver and clicking on 'Next' to continue through the uninstall process. Click 'Finish', when the driver is uninstalled.

    d. navigate back to the "display manager". Click on 'show cards '. Right-click your video card. Click on "Update driver software." Click on "Search for automatically update driver." Windows will start searching online updated for your graphics card drivers. Available updates will be automatically downloaded and installed. When the driver is installed correctly and may ask you to restart your computer, Windows will notify you.

    e. visit the graphics card manufacturer's Web site. If Windows cannot find the selected driver, you will need to manually download it from the manufacturer. All the drivers are located on the "Drivers" of the Web site of the manufacturer part.

You can also use the suggestions in this article and check if it helps.

  • Windows 7 Non - PnP device

What is peripheral Non - PnP?

    Hello

Windows supports the specifications that define how a computer can detect and configure the newly added hardware and automatically installs the device driver Plug-and-Play. Before Plug-and-Play, users had to manually configure devices before attaching them to the computer which is known as Non Plug and play (Non - PnP).

  • Mozilla is slow on some loading sites, other times, sites not to load any. None of the fixes worked... tried all.

have tried all the fixes, this system could throw to me, honestly tried 98% of them myself already, once more. Anyway my question is that sites like CNN.com, IGN.com, mozilla.org (and some but not all of the related sites) will be hanging and loads very slowly or not at all. This issue just started unexpectedly a few days ago. I was not to load a new software or patch whatever, AFAIK (cannot not talk about auto-updates to date) I don't have this problem in Internet Explorer in all. Things, I tried to remedy the situation:

1 ran malware bytes, spy-bot, norton antivirus (also disabled all them to guarantee no cofilicts) to find hard-ware or viruses... found nothing

2 uninstalled firefirefox also deleted firefox folders in C:/users / (username) / appdata/local and roaming, as well as my C:/program files (x 86)... I then reinstalled Firefox

3 disabled hardware acceleration and also tried on.

    4A ran in safe mode

    5 ran CCleaner

    6 changed my firefox profile

    7 reset firefox

    8. do you have a system restore

    9. do you have a registry fix verify and repair

I could forget a little, but like I said I read never bitten this emergency program have thrown at me and tried. I am quite at a loss I can usually clear what kind of things myself. I really want to get this working and short the very unpleasant, or even ineffective reinstalled windows, I'm out of ideas.

you have an update for firefox just a minute it y a. seems to have been ironed out the remaining lag in loading pages. Still not sure what all that fixed. I really hate wave of bugs like this cause, it will probably not any use to anyone else their own troubleshooting problems. Well I will end this. Thanks for the help everyone!

    Hey,.

It looks like the page groups by tabs or the ' topic: newtab ' page.

The first of the two can be read more here: use tab groups to organize a large number of tabs

The later of the two can be changed with the instructions below:

    1. In the address bar, type Subject: config and press enter. The subject: config "this might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
    2. Click on I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue on the subject: config page.
    3. Find newtab, then double-click on it to change the url to a page of choice.
  • YouTube videos does not (yet) - searched all the other issues, none of the fixes seem to help. I have cleared the cache, disabled Ad Block, updated etc.

As indicated, I have updated Java, Flash, all my plug-ins, deleted those I don't need, cleared my cookies and history, no dice.

Why are there so many compatibility problems with YouTube?

    Works very well in any

My YouTube was working fine, then one day just decided to stop working.

I found the answer: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 it's a conflict with RealPlayer. Furthermore, in order to find this thread again, I had to use a google search. Is there really no way to find a person own issues through our own profile?

The device is obsolete? Do I really need? Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If the device shows as being ineffective and even your PC works as you would expect, it is obvious that you need not the device.
