geographical activation restriction

in the name of God

Are there geographical restrictions of activation for windows xp?

Thank you

If there is no geographical restriction activation, she would so declare on the packaging of Windows XP and/or end user license agreement.

    Thank you

    Hello Launcher,

Thank you for bringing your question about Restrictions here in Apple Support communities. My understanding of your question is that you change the Restrictions, but no change is noticed. I tried the same on my iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 10 and noticed a similar situation. Please allow me the opportunity to explain how the Restrictions is designed to work. First, I put my limitations for applications, do not allow Apps and together 4 +, which basically means everything beyond 4 + will be blocked from buying. Then I went to the App Store and the first app that caught my attention was NCIS: hidden crimes. This app is rated 12 + and is definitely an application I would not want my toddler to help. It is that Restrictions come into play. When I type on NCIS: hidden Crimes, the Get option is grayed out. Restrictions does remove all apps, songs, books, etc. from view, but it will prevent the purchase, download, and install all applications rated above the setting you choose when you set up restrictions. It's the help article that discusses the Restrictions and prevent purchases: Use Restrictions in order to avoid buying on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

I checked on the restrictions help articles, and I understand where it can be a bit confusing. In the help article Use Restrictions on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, it says "You can use Restrictions, also known as parental control, to block or limit specific applications and features on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch." This means in fact that apps, features or services (rated above that helped you, or if you have turned off completely) can he no longer appears on the device if the restriction is activated and starts blocking them. I also tested this by activating Restrictions and turned the cursor for Safari to off. When I went back to the home screen, Safari doesn't show any more and I could no longer use it.

I hope this helps to clarify how the Restrictions. If my understanding of the issue was not accurate to the issue that you are experiencing, I will be happy to pursue this issue with you. Please indicate exactly what you took measures, and what expectations you had or the some restrictions, applications, features, or services you are restricted. Thanks again and have a great rest of your day!

  • Mapping VLAN and probe Inline

    Hello

I'm doing all my traffic flow of SSL VPN clients through a traffic Inline probe. From what I see, I should use the mapping feature VLAN. But I can't understand how the function works. ASA not very informative or extensive documentation.

Currently my ASA has a network of interconnection on a VLAN to my router base, and all my internal network is routed to the base IP address. Default gateway of the router of my Core is the ASA. My ASA provides IP addresses to remote VPN SSL clients and is the default router for them. Remote traffic follows the remote client to the ASA, then through the interconnection to my internal networks. My only ASA works as my perimeter firewall and SSL VPN concentrator.

I have map VLAN undestand will make all traffic from the remote clients to abandon the vehicle on a VLAN individual. So, I created a new VLAN and that added to a trunk on the SAA. Then I activated "restrict access to VLAN" and set it to my VIRTUAL LAN. My traffic Inline probe is connected to the VLAN and can provide DHCP.

If it were a classic network, I'd Inline traffic probe the gateway by default for this VLAN and provide IP addresses and gateway with its DHCP server. But how does it work with ASA? I can in captivity the evacuation to this VLAN, but cannot find a way to make the traffic passes through the screen. As ASA does not support routing based on the source can't make the jump next to the probe traffic.

I can do the bridge of the probe (L2) network for interconnection and the remote client VLAN. But the IP address of the ASA on the VLAN does not fall within the same range as the interconnection, so I can't understand if and how it worked.

Can someone help me with the configuration or explaing me better how works the mapping VLAN?

    Thank you.

What you are trying to reach is configurable through the "tunnel" default route, and it would force all traffic of VPN with this default route special.

    for example:

If your traffic probe Inline between the ASA inside your heart and the interface, you can configure:

Route inside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 in tunnel

Requiring all VPN traffic route to IP CORE that would go through your online traffic probe

Here's the order for your info reference:

    Hope that helps.

  • Geographical restrictions for installation of Windows and activation

    Hello

In clause 13 of the Microsoft OEM System Builder License, he says: some software may be authorized for distribution only to specific countries and the software activation must occur in some countries people.  (a) preinstall the software only in the geographical limits of the country or region identified on the packaging, so in the list; ... ... You are only allowed to activate this software in the specific geographical region where you acquired it.

    Issues related to the:

1 are the distribution and installation limited to a specific country/region if and only if the country is on the packaging?  If so, where it is written on the pack?

    2. in what state the software must be enabled in the country / region where it was purchased?

    Looking forward to the feedback.

  • Because of the geographical Restriction activation problem

I use a real Windows 7 Home Basic (OEM pack) bought in the Middle East. Since then, I moved to the Canada. I had to re - install Windows due to a system problem. After having re-installed, the system tells me that the 'product key entered can be used in only certain countries or regions. Either activate Windows where you bought it or buy a new product key'.

Is there a way that I can activate the Canada without having to buy an another activation code?

  • Activation of Windows 7 - geographical Limitation

    Hi all

I am looking for a solution to a major problem that I have at the moment with regard to the activation of Windows 7. My wife recently gave me a Christmas present in the form of a Windows 7 Ultimate pack. Opening it, I discovered that it is geographically restricted. Problem is that I am a Malaysian citizen but live and work full-time in Europe returning twice a year for your holiday in Malaysia. The pack makes it clear that it can only be installed and activated in Southeast Asia and its for my PC at home in Italy. So I called Microsoft and spoke to the representative who assured me 100% (a word he used) it shouldn't be a problem. I decided that I would not ask for a refund of the eventhough for the seller, it would be impossible in the case.

So imagine my surprise when I completed the installation in Italy and I tried activating it and it failed. Now I'm stuck with a PC installed with Windows 7, but not enabled. I can not return the pack and can not use it. Can someone help me please? I hope that I'm not penalized for being an honest client to Microsoft.

    Thank you

Try the phone option and explain the situation.

  • My kids have iphones that I need now to be able to text and call and do nothing else. Is anyway to do this? They had iphones which have been misused and now that I'm aware of this use, I now need to restrict any activity.

I have recently read activity inappropriate my children iPhones... a 4S and 6s. Is - this here anyway for now limit their use of the phone for texting and calls and nothing else? No apps, no wifi, just SMS and calls. I can now monitor texts and calls, but want nothing else to do. I can call and text them. Help please!

You cannot limit the phone to only send SMS and calls, but you can stop using the offending apps. Go to settings > general > Restrictions and set a restriction password. Then turn off Safari so they cannot browse the web, "Apps installer" and all the other options you want. Remove all third party apps unwanted from their phones, and then they will not be able to reinstall if "Apps installer" has been disabled.

  • vMA 4.1 Active Directory (AD) integration login Restrictions

    Hello

Recently, I have deployed the vMA 4.1 in our environment through the integration of Active Directory (AD). My question is how to restrict the access of connection? Any domain user can connect to the vMA at the moment.

    Thank you

Yes, you can control this by taking a peek in the same configuration file located in /etc/likewise/lsassd.conf

You'll want to pick up the next section and update the list, allowing only certain groups or users to connect, this is how you would limit the access of connection for users/groups that you want to allow:

        # Allow only the following users and groups
        # to login to this system
        #
        # Note: Use a comma-separated list of
        #       { alias, NT4 style name, SID }
        #
        # require-membership-of = ABC\support group, ABC\joe, jane, S-1-5-21-3447809367-3151979076-456401374-513

Uncomment the demand-membership - in and provide your list separated by commas

  • WRT54G2 Dropping connection with active Access Restrictions

Recently, we have replaced Nano from my 13 years with a key, which means that it can now access the internet from (almost) anywhere in the House.  So I did some research and found the WRT54G2 of Access Restrictions.

I got the WRT54G2 for 5 years, and it has been extremely reliable.  I'm a programmer (although, ironically, not necessarily PC-savvy!) who works full time at home, and I have no problem with the network.  But now that I have implemented Access Restrictions, he abandoned his connection once or twice a day.  So it falls, it becomes quite slow.  Once it comes down, I unplug the router, wait 60 seconds and plug back in.  Then everything works again.

I found no other people (in the forums) mention the same problem, but I hope someone can help out me.

    Access restrictions are the following:

    • Status: activate
    • Change the list of PC: IP range 01:2 ~ 254
    • Days: every day
    • Opening hours: 24 hours
    • Blocked Services: NO
    • Blocking of the website with URL: white
    • Blocking of the site by keyword: naked, nude, etc...

I have 3 polciies due to the number of keywords I am trying to block, given that each policy allows only 6 keywords.  Policies are all set to the top in the same way except, of course, the key words.

The WRT54G2 is model V1, and the version of the firmware is 1.0.01.   The upgrade of the firmware help?  Download from Linksys for model 1.0 page, says "no available firmware/driver download.

Access restrictions, "IP Range 01" should be in 100 ~ 149 instead of 2 ~ 254?  I am train to restrict our family office, my laptop, iPad and keys - anything in the House with internet access.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, I think that any other additional filtering that by default will slow down most any router. It is probably more problematic for wrt54g2 because if it is little CPU and memory.

I guess you can try to reset to the default values and reconfigure him from scratch. But still, I don't think that the wrt54g2 has a very large CPU that can handle a large number of filtering.

Maybe try a solution like Norton DNS DNS? Or open DNS? Instead of access restrictions. I don't know, I'm not real experienced with access or parental control restrictions.

  • How do you restrict access to the site visitors to certain geographic locations?

I wonder if Business Catalyst has developed a way to prevent visitors from some countries to access my Web site? I found this old thread: the specified item was not found., but surely in the last 12:00 has developed a better option to add code to the Adobe Muse pages?

recently, we have developed an Intranet in British Colombia site for a multinational company.

Their requirement was to force the connection if outside their many firewall

but inside they have full access.

So, we built a webapp that they could use to control which IP addresses have been approved. Then, we used liquid to do queries on the front-end server.

Yyou could use this same princopal to approve and reject all ip address ranges (IE countries)

restriction by IP is not infallible, but it is possible

  • When I open Lightoom or Photoshop, they open in restricted mode even with active subscription

    Hello

I can log on and log off CC through the CC Adobe app and I can install and uninstall Photoshop and Lightroom, and my account shows my subscription is up to date.

OS is OS X 10.11.3, happens on two machines (desktop and laptop) - and yet I can correctly connect through the CC app or Web site. I have no other problem of internet connectivity.

But the applications open in mode 'reduced functionality' and try to connect through the application (using help-> Sign In), he asked me to pay for a subscription because my 'judgment' is over.

Sometimes when I try to login, I get "We're sorry, we are unable to connect to the Adobe server now".

Someone else has the same problem?

    MC

Well in that case, if you tried to rename SLCache and SLStore file .it's better to check the status of subscription account once.,.
