• HP EliteBook 8730w: replacement of SSD for the boot drive not recognized

  I'm trying to install a Samsung SSD 840 EVO 500 GB instead of the original 500 GB HDD in my Elitebook 8730w (product no. VF889PA #ABG). The 8730w has the latest BIOS (F.20) installed and that is running Windows 7 Professional 32-bit (fully patched).

  Honestly no, I'm not happy with this one. If it was my machine, I'd be a little concerned about whats the corner of the street. In view of the age, is not surprising really, things wear out over time, the mere fact of electronics.
  
  Search through everything you have posted, all photos, pdf, all the text double checking. I am absolutely puzzled as to what happened. If you 100% does not reinstall the hard disk between the posts above where no HARD drive is detected in the menu boot options for the post below that where the HARD drive is detected in the same menu. I would say that you have a problem with either, the ssd, the computer motherboard laptop or the small connector on the sata port, I think on these is integrated on the motherboard, so it seems that your advice is doubtful.
  If his works now, great... but be aware that your machine can fail at some point in the near future. And it looks like a defect of the motherboard, other things are probably waiting to fail.

  If you have a problem with the plug that connects to the adapter for the laptop, hire a technician to replace the Jack. There are dangers such as electrostatic and ruin your cell involved in the repair or replacement, I wouldn't advise you to try something like that. If you do not want to do it yourself, you can buy the tools and the spare part. The time that you would be out looking for this only repair would be worth more that a technician would charge you.  Good luck!

  Greetings, all. I apologize in advance if this is the most lame question ever posted here, but I'm having a terrible time with it. Here's the deal: I have a document of presentation in Flash (slides). The first series of slides are an indication for a video that appears later.
  
  Behind the scenes of the index, I have a series of operations gotoSlide and Stop launched button symbols. I want to put the code on the timeline (instead of on the button symbol objects). So the first image of a slide has the following code, where L1-1_button is an instance of a button symbol:

  gotoAndStop (2);
  }
  
  When I run the movie, the output window displays the following error message:
  
  * Error * screen = lecture1, layer = actions, frame = 1:Line 3: syntax error.

  Why? What is the syntax error? Any help is appreciated greatily. It drives me crazy!

  I could be wrong, but I don't think that the character "-" is allowed in instance names. Maybe try ditching the dashboard on "L1-1_btn.

  I know this may seem a rather harsh to suggest method, but at this point, I suggest backup of important things on your laptop computer to online storage. This is because you can use the USB storage for the moment.

  Start on the recovery media.

  Use the HP Recovery Manager to perform a factory image recovery which will reinstall the operating system.

  Since you say that the usb ports work under Linux, then reinstalling the operating system Windows needs to solve the problem of usb port that you are experiencing.

  Most likely the module webcam up upstairs behind the screen bezel went wrong. Very common. Other scenarios, such as the bad cable are possible, but not probable.   Make sure your video file is all characters lowercase and without spaces or punctuation characters.

  Check that your site administrator has set the video as a type of authorized file mime type.

  Link to the file that Captivate HTM publishes and not to the SWF that you did in the above link.

  Make sure that all THE published files have been downloaded successfully to the web site, including the video file.

  I thank Jacky. I found the main problem not turn when a flash in Adobe Presenter incorporation, it's that the main class must be inherited from the MovieClip, Sprite not as I created it before. Now it works perfectly for flash versions created from both Adobe Flash Pro. CS5.5 (11) and CS4 (10).

  You can run the latest version of iTunes for your version of Windows, but you are not running the latest version of iTunes is available and it's iTunes 12.3. You must run Windows 7 at least. I'm not a Windows user, but I think 7 is newer than XP.
